The best restaurants

17/07/2024: Had carvery lunch in the ivy bar on Sunday, was beautiful couldn't fault it. However went for an evening meal later in the week, ordered a medium fillet steak and a Korean chicken burger, steak arrived went done close to burnt, chicken burger also burnt and missing half its toppings. Took over half an hour to come out, desperately slow. Eventually got the attention of a waiter who took it back and returned 10 minutes later to say they are making a replacement, the manager Eventually came down with a very fake apology, 25 minutes later a medium steak which was nice arrived, 55 minutes for a medium steak isn't acceptable, the staff on the till new asked had the manager mentioned a discount which she happened, so she had to check and the instruction to her was take off 4 euro off a 30 quid steak, not acceptable won't be back.

22/09/2025: Very disappointed, normally the cakes are lovely but got cakes today and they must have been in shop since Friday or Saturday. They were far from fresh and cost 20 euro .

07/02/2025: Came in for a quick coffee & scone (both were lovely) and the girl at the counter, Joy I think her name was, was so friendly & polite

18/08/2023: The food was delicious and the waiters were super nice.

02/08/2023: The Food was very delicious and the waiting time was short. The menu was short but everything was fresh and good and there was some creative dishes on it. The service was very friendly and are very motivated. The Ambiente was also good but it isn't easy to find because it's in a backstreet. Overall i highly recommend it.

09/08/2025: We get our fish and chips out of it on Friday night every week it very nice food 😋 and the staff are very nice 👌

05/06/2026: While staying in the Gleneagle, we dined at this restaurant: the prices are higher than the Killarney average, and the service is quite pushy and chaotic (drinks were delivered in a confusing way). The atmosphere is supposed to be halfway between a pub and a Hard Rock Cafe, but it's out of place in its context. The menu is quite varied.

06/08/2025: Rooms are open and available. John is a fantastic host. We are staying from 4 August through 7 August 2025. The restaurant is closed temporarily to the public, but John makes a great breakfast for guests each morning.
