02/03/2026: A must try in Dublin the staff are so good in here in every department the live music was so Good Friday night and the atmosphere in the place is fantastic it was open late which is great to see not many bars open late in the city DJ hit the spot with good music hits for everyone The toilets where so clean and tidy and we are very hung over the next day but have to say this place is very good all round well done everybody in the globe keep up the good work 🍺

09/02/2026: On my first ever visit to Clifden which took place last week, we found ourselves popping into Griffin's bar for some lunch. I had the best fish pie I've had since I don't know when. Marion enjoyed a nice steak sandwich. Both David & John made us feel very welcome. Then a local 82year old mad entertained us with a quick dancing demo. Apparently he also recites poetry and you might even get a song out of him! It was a memorable experience and made all the better when David ran us up to see the Sky Road (if you get the chance to see it you'll understand why it's called the sky road.) I can't wait to visit Clifden and Griffin's bar again. Couldn't recommend it enough, thanks David & John.

30/09/2025: Ordered a cake from them, when I went to pick it up, it was melted and slid off the base before I could even get home. The got my order wrong and when I complained they argued that they gave me a discount. Which was lies. Instead they blocked me on their business page on Instagram sugardrop77. No refund, just an apology. Never order from them again

23/06/2025: They were late to give my daughter her bday cake were left waiting hours only to be given the wrong cake. Showed no remorse daughter was promised a Taylor Swift cake. Don't even think they bothered making it I think they just chanced their arm. They refunded the money a week later. Too little too late damage wad done. Charged alot for the cake too

02/01/2026: Lovely place for a group dinner/lunch or outings. The food was nice, music is a bit loud for my taste, but I know everyone is different. We had a lovely Christmas party there. Recommended.

04/12/2025: A very overpriced bar, the draught beer is exceedingly expensive and not great quality. It is hard to get a bad pint of stout these days, however the courtyard consistently manages to. Food is expensive and nothing special.

15/11/2025: We will definitely eat here again to try more of their dishes. Really tasty & reasonably priced. Portions are pretty spot on too. Server was lovely and helpful as we’d not been there before.

07/02/2026: I was discriminated against in this pub last week. After having just two pints, I was told by a member of bar staff that I had to leave. I calmly asked if this was the pub’s policy. Instead of explaining or acting professionally, the staff member walked away from the bar and told me to go and help myself behind it. I was absolutely shocked by the arrogance and disrespect shown to a paying customer. This behaviour was humiliating and completely unacceptable. This pub is well known for discriminating against Irish Travellers, and sadly my experience only confirms that reputation. I would not recommend this pub to anyone, and I believe people should be aware of how customers are treated here. Discrimination has no place in society, let alone in a public licensed premises.

26/11/2025: The staff are friendly here, the food is nice. I’ve always enjoyed it. Except the vegetable spring rolls which they always make chicken rolls. I’m vegetarian and eating meat makes me quite sick so it’s disappointing when it happens but other than that, a great place to get a quick takeaway with good food!

07/02/2026: Probably one of the worst experiences in a Chinese restaurant and any restaurant for that matter. Food was edible but that is about as good as it gets. Our experience consisted of unhygienic ethic and unmannerly service. Firstly one waitress was mopping and drying the floor with a towel as we arrived, then then served us our food without cleaning their hands and left the dirty towel that was dragged along the floor on another chair in the restaurant as we were eating. Then after that, as we were eating, we were sat next to a plug in Bluetooth speaker that was apparently setting the atmosphere but the only atmosphere it set was the smell of a cheap, broke owners who can't afford Spotify or YouTube premium because it kept playing adverts the whole time we were there. And they didn't even let a song finish, kept skipping songs halfway through. And to top it all off, 2 waitresses were having a conversation as we were eating that the whole street could hear, and swearing with foul language during the conversation, no manners, ethetic or awareness of what service should be at all. Most definitely will not be returning to this place.

11/10/2025: A nice, cozy spot for a morning coffee, but the food was quite disappointing. We tried the ham and cheese quiche with salad and were let down, the quiche had way too much ketchup inside, and the salad was served with cold pasta, which didn’t go well with the hot quiche.

18/05/2025: A little gem in town, professional efficient and clean. Staff are wonderful obliging and respectful. Has its niche and does it well no more can be asked 🙂
