The best restaurants

16/08/2025: A lovely little Indian restaurant right in the town. The staff were really nice and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious with generous portions at a very reasonable price. It’s takeaway only, but definitely worth it if you’re looking for tasty Indian food in the area.

03/05/2025: The food I ordered was inedible. I ordered a chip box with chicken. The lettuce was old and wilted, slathered in mayonnaise, the chicken was overcooked and bland and the chips were covered in sweet chilli sauce. I noticed a lot of grey and blighty chips amoungest them. They used to do a great kebab and hogie but have gone very downhill in the last year. My aunt ordered a curry which was a lot better than my order so maybe avoid anything that is not curry based!

30/10/2025: I was double charged for food If it’s buy one snack get one free how does it come out to €13.99 And to buy just one snack box it’s €6.99 Going off the double deal I should get the two for €6.99 right So I am actually still paying for two you shouldn’t include the word free if it’s not free that’s a lie It was only after I left i realised the charge as I was only passing through Cashel Why say free if it’s not free It goes against the Consumer Protection Act 2007 you can’t advertise something as free when it’s not.

22/02/2026: Have ordered before from Spice Cottage and food was always great. But yesterday, we ordered two starters (onion baji and chicken pakura), both were soaking in grease and virtually inedible…we ordered one main (chicken tikka masala with Pilau rice), the rice was the best part!! The Nasn bread was soggy. Feels like a completely different takeaway/chef…reluctant to try again!!!

11/08/2025: Got the train to Dublin during the week and was delighted to get 2 coffees from Vlad in the station , 7am and they were the only place open.. Happy days

17/02/2026: Terrible customer service , I seen a worker who seemed and looked like the owner( fat old guy blue shirt ) making a Indian dish of some sort with curry and he put the food in the box meanwhile some chicken pieces fell on the floor I thought he was going to throw it in the bin , he took that chicken off the floor and put it back in the tray like it didn’t even happen when I seen I was shocked

15/11/2025: St. Johns is a very good hospital. Nice Nurces and you are not waiting hours in the Emergency. Compare to Dooradoyle UHL where, I have impression that ANE staff is doing trafic on purpose. You are wating in UHL ages for simple things like blood pressure tablet or quick check up. My friend with high blood pressure 230/123 refferd by his GP, got one medication to lower the pressure, after 6 hours waiting. But he got it just because his daughter started the argument with Zone A staff after 6 hours nonsens wating. He supposed to be check for blood pressuer after one hour off that tablet, and again there was noone to do it. He was completly ingnored same as other patents wating. So again his daugher has to have argument with the staff members to make them to check his blood pressure. Here I have to highlight that the Dooradoyle Emergency department has only two blood pressure maschines, and plently of nurses that wodernig around without any sense. Some of them have really lost faces, like they do not know where they are and what to do. Offcourse, the nurse who did the check up didn not mention a word to the patient, the daughter has to ask her how it is. So they have been told that the pressure is still high and in a moment the doctor will talk to them. After 8,5 hours spended in that hospital they left, as there was no doctor who had will to talk to them. Remember, if they are saying to you that "in a moment doctor will talk to you", you can be sure that this moment will last about 2 hours or more. They are ignorants whith dramatcally ogranside work, big mess behind the doctors desk in Zone A. Absolutley bad managemet and people who shouldn't work there at all, as this patent could be treated within max 1,5hour, if the medication would be given to him at the beginning when he arrived there, and if would be there one doctor who would serve only the patients marked green in their messy system. There is no need to keep people for 12 or more hours only to give them tblets or simple check up. That is causing only bigger traffic and doctors pretending that they are so very bussy. To be fer there was only one doctor who apperd really work , doing things like he should. So if you need to go to Emergency go to St. John's, as Dooradyle UHL is a one disaster.

02/10/2025: I was treated at the local injury unit for a facial wound that needed stitches. Dr. Azza was brilliant, very professional and reassuring. The whole team was great, kind and helpful. I’m very grateful for the care I received and wish them all the best.

14/01/2025: Came here on the weekend with family they were super busy and staff was very busy especially on a weekend busy times , and i ordered 30 wings platter extra hot but there was no sauce on the wings and i didn’t get my two sides of rice but i got the one i paid extra for so i ordered 3 rice but got only 1 , service was slow the water machine was giving out dirty water, , next time i should come on less busy times because staff can’t get the orders right. Kids meals were delayed they had to eat my chicken wings until there food arrived, they should hire extra waiters for busy times

28/07/2025: Delighted I stopped off in the village and visited. Lovely traditional pub with character. Was reasonably quiet but it was a Sunday night. Just got the end of a trad session that happens every Sunday evening. Had a nice chat with Greg behind the bar. I'll certainly call another time.

20/07/2025: A really cute pub, can clearly see a lot of effort has been made with the decor inside and in the courtyard/beer garden area too - very appreciated. ✨

07/03/2026: Terrible rude service, items missing from order didn't care or offer to send them. I was still charged though-so basically robbed. When I rang the restaurant the man on the phone couldn't care less and blamed the app aven though I saw on my screen that I had ordered garlic bread. He said I should get in touch with the company as the app is nothing to do with them. No wonder they have high staff turn over, nobody cares.

29/11/2025: Just off main Waterford to cork road very helpful if you ring in a order plenty of spaces to park up and eat your food

16/11/2025: Fish and chips. Thank you but, no more. Poor quality. Fish was probably fried in old oil, some goey stuff inside the batter. All sauces were on the bottom of the box. Lol. Chips were fine. I felt that this place more about commerce than quality food.

21/11/2025: Food is absolutely beautiful and the owners obviously have pride in there food iv been there nearly once a week every week and always consistent. The staff and owners are very well mannered and pleasant and they are making great progress everytime I visit and there very family orientated which is good and also the orders are always perfect they never miss a thing , all the best for the future 😀

09/09/2025: Ordered a duck with orange sauce dish and was charged a lot more than other chinese places i’ve been to round limerick - asked for veg and i barely got any

16/03/2026: Don’t understand the hype unfortunately. Ate this right after it got handed to me. Chips were super soggy, battered sausage: the outer layer was not crispy at all, but sausage itself tasted good. Fish not bad was quite flaky and juicy, but batter some parts were fried too hard (not crispy but HARD), while other parts felt like not fried enough almost tasted like raw batter.

14/03/2026: Completely gone to the dogs now. Assemble line servicing at its best, staff barely speak a word if English , multiple visit have left items out of order. Chips are soggy, just cooked enough to be eatable and out the door on to the next order. I'd been coming for years at this point, but the last visit is and will be the last time I'd ever visit. The meal was a batter sausage (this was fine) and chips (soggy tasteless strips of potato at Monte Carlo prices) and would only recommend this place if you have a fist full of money to throw away and as a last resort would I recommend this. Great at one point. Desperate now. Pity management is entirely blind to see this.

11/12/2025: I'm getting a bunch of kebabs there every now and then, those are so good. Pita bread is so good, sauce and fresh meat are the best. Really nice staff inside will always come back 🤌🏻 well done guys

08/12/2025: We are very disappointed with our food experience last night. Ordered mixed kebab and chicken wings. While ordering food I have specially mentioned that I need more sauce and salad but the kebab is very very dry, there was barely any salad and naan bread was burnt.
