The best restaurants

03/05/2026: Large pub in center of Kingscourt. Excellent staff, very clean, good food. Has a lovely outdoor seating area.

10/09/2026: Been eating from here for as long as i can remember, before summer inn took over, and i have to say the past months, the quality of beef has dropped drastically, so so chewy. Rice is either amazing, or all clumped together curry sauce is amazing flavour wise, sometimes too watery, honestly just lacking consistency. still one of my favourite places but i've been let down recently.

30/08/2026: Perfect food and great to let passengers have a bite to eat on the drive home if your visiting and so long trading here you know its got to be good. Traditional fish and chips at its best

30/05/2026: I live locally and have only rarely used it as the food can be very ordinary. Actually stopped going there after two successive visits with really poor portions of chips. Thought that the first time was just an unfortunate mistake. Tried it again last night. First time in a while. Chips were grand, portion size still a bit scabby but not as bad. Fresh cod was poor, battered ok but fish inside was dry and tasteless. Also got onion rings. Oh my God, they have to be the worst thing I have ever eaten from a chipper. Basically a thick wedge of an onion battered, disgusting. Why mess with the easiest, highest profit food going? Break up the onion, batter them and fry, like a normal chipper! Only positive I'd say is the staff, they are friendly and the wait wasn't too bad for a Friday evening. I won't be rushing back.

06/07/2026: Nice coffee, had a spicy chicken, bacon panini, which came with a bottle of water. They also do waffles and ice creams, plenty of seating as well. Nice spot on a hot day.

26/05/2026: I don’t even want to give this place a star. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk but was given regular milk instead. This wasn’t a preference, now feeling sick. Really disappointing experience.

15/08/2026: Absolutely abysmal food is over priced and tasteless We got onion bahjee there were 4 very small flat pieces with some past best salad The naan bread wasn't naan it was a toasted pizza base honestly the worst Indian I've ever had we ended up binning the lot

13/08/2026: One of thee best spots in Limerick for Indian food, make sure to sort out your parking though or risk the wrath of the clampers. Diners park for free.

28/07/2026: Staff abrupt and unfriendly Popadoms were stale Rice dry and unpalatable Curry’s bland Definitely would not recommend and return. It’s one of those, get you in treat you badly then hit you with a big bill. 😡

09/08/2026: Thought we’d give this place a try after receiving a menu through the letterbox. In hindsight, the menu should probably have stayed in the letterbox. We ordered black bean crispy chicken and egg fried rice as the mains, along with a few starters. And this is where the regrets began… and continued… and, frankly, multiplied. The chicken balls were undercooked, with batter that appeared to have been filled with water rather than cooked properly. The prawn toast was less “prawn toast” and more “toast that had once heard rumours about prawns”. The black bean sauce was strangely chewy — not a quality normally associated with sauce. The crispy chicken was suspiciously un-chicken-like in both appearance and flavour. At this stage, questions were being asked and trust was rapidly disappearing. Then came the egg fried rice — delivered in what can only be described as a compact rubber brick. It looked more boiled than fried and had the consistency of something that had been dropped from a height and then reassembled. By the end of the meal, we were no longer eating dinner — we were conducting a culinary investigation. Without question, the worst Chinese takeaway experience we’ve ever had. What started as “let’s give the new place a try” quickly became “why on earth did we do that?” Hopefully this review saves someone else from making the same mistake. Avoid. Avoid. AVOID. Your stomach, your taste buds and your future self will thank you.

22/02/2026: I got a spicebag today and it was unbelievable, the curry sauce was amazing and the food was ready for collection quickly. Will definitely be back for more again🙌

05/09/2026: Extremely disappointed with the food and, unfortunately, with the very unprofessional attitude of the person at the front of house. I ordered chicken chow mein and prawn fried rice. However, when I opened the boxes, the dishes were the opposite of what I had ordered. The fried rice contained roast chicken instead of prawns. Using roast chicken and then frying it again resulted in the chicken being extremely dry, hard, oily, and almost cardboard-like, with some pieces being very dark in colour. The prawns were also very disappointing. They were cold on the inside, warm on the outside, and had a mushy texture, which made me question the freshness and quality of the ingredients. I called the restaurant to raise my concerns about the food, and I was genuinely shocked by the response I received. Instead of acknowledging my concerns or offering any form of apology, I was simply told, “That’s the way we do things here.” Considering the prices being charged, I expected a much better standard of food and customer service. Unfortunately, the food was so poor that it ended up in the bin. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely unacceptable. The quality of the food and the attitude towards a legitimate customer complaint were both extremely disappointing. In my honest opinion, the restaurant needs to seriously reconsider its food quality and customer service standards.

17/05/2026: Ordered chicken chow mien here and the chicken was black. Not good wife had chicken fried rice also very poor. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for takeaway. Rang them when got home they didn’t seem to be interested in our experience. For the life of me how could a restaurant serve black chicken in one of their dishes. Won’t be back sorry

05/09/2026: Waited nearly 2 hours for delivery. They kept assuring me the delivery was coming...eventually had to cancel. Dont waste your time.

29/07/2026: Didn’t want to leave this review because the food is so nice but I like my food hot and on just eat if you order they don’t read the box for the notes this has happened the last 3 times I have ordered it

17/08/2026: A staff named JENNIFER refused to let me use the bathroom before ordering—even though I was literally standing in the queue waiting to pay. Apparently, you have to suffer through the line first before being granted basic human privileges here. Power trip at the counter for no reason. Won't be back!
