The best restaurants

27/06/2026: I can’t even tell you how many times we have gone there, and got disgusting dirty cutlery and cups. Every time I speak to the “ management “ all that she says is … let me change that for you … there was hard pieces of egg on my knife today, and my cup had dried coffee and lipstick stains on. I am not one for complaining but they just don’t seem to care about the health and safety being in the hospitality business. This is not acceptable for any restaurant to give the customers DIRTY cutlery etc. I have now reported this to health and safety Ireland also, because clearly they don’t give a damn.

08/06/2026: This cafe is offering superb value in this day and age. Their full Irish is excellent. Which also included tea / coffee and toast. Other cafes are now charging extra for their teas / coffees with a full Irish. Portions are man sized and the place is clean and tidy. Well done to all involved 👏🏻

25/03/2026: Supermac's is okay if you're looking for a quick bite on the way to here or there. Prices are decent.

30/05/2026: Sadly, since new ownership has taken over, I haven’t been able to bring myself back here. The memory of how nice the food was is better than the actual food now. Plenty of other tasty chippers in the area.

17/05/2026: I have to say used to love this take away , but tonight I ordered a kebab and burger and the lettuce was so soft and sluggish . In the kebab there was not enough sauce and also it was supposed to be a mixed kebab were there was hardly any chicken in it , I wouldn’t order here again unfortunately.

20/03/2026: I went into Rocca’s today for Lunch. Got a Cod portion, onion rings (x3) and a chicken Kebab. The onion rings were burnt, the cod portion was fine but the chicken Kebab was absolutely ridiculous. When I opened the bag it was all over the bag, bread torn and smothered in sauce. Not enjoyable at all and the chicken was like rubber. As I was leaving I decided to get a small bottle of BPM, €3.50 for a drink is not ok 🙌🏼 I would not recommend this place anymore as 2 minutes away at killester is a nicer place. I know Rocca’s my whole life since I was a kid. I used to get the animal box meal for kids when I was only 6. To see this place go completely downhill is a shame as it’s had a good run as one of the nicer chippers in the area.

26/07/2025: Would not eat food from here again. The staff was rude and not helpful. Half of them stood outside on the street talking and the ones who stayed inside were very impatient and rude.

15/04/2025: Ordered from here based on other reviews but for the price the food is not great and portion size is small. The lamb bhuna the texture was muddy and no taste. Both curries bought was mostly sauce no meat. Naan was almost paper thin. DO NOT RECOMMEND, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

28/06/2026: The staff are so rude! Leave you waiting while they are talking! The only staff member who is actually polite is the Blonde girl apologies I don’t remember her name. But for the rest is very bad! This is my local Starbucks and recently has become a very unclean and unfriendly place

02/05/2026: Went in for a coffee today. Every single person in the coffee shop had a take away cup. The lady in front of me had to ask to swap her coffee into a mug. The blonde waitress didn't look to happy. Just got lazy vibes. Can't be that hard to wash a few mugs!

09/04/2026: Extremely disappointed. I asked the person running the place to confirm I was getting chicken meat kebab; he said yes, then served me chicken fillet and red meat. The portion was mostly salad and "weird" sauces that tasted nothing like kebab sauce. It wasn't even busy, so there’s no excuse for getting the order wrong or being dishonest about the ingredients. I won’t be returning.

14/02/2026: Forgot money i night I'm not a regular I had ordered explain to gentleman behind counter he told me to take the food and drop in money when passing which I did the food was fabulous paid 2 days later what a gentleman

31/05/2026: After ordering a box of pepperoni dough balls in Killarney fourstar from anaf, and waiting 20 minutes my order only came in with 7 pcs and after asking safwan where is the 8th pc he lied to my face and said they started doing 7pc from now on and not a single one of them took responsibility for eating my food.

13/05/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Had the Hot Veggie Pizza at Four Star Pizza. The pizza was fresh and loaded with toppings, but the sauce was a bit too heavy for my taste and slightly overpowered the other flavours. That said, the base was well cooked, the veggies were fresh, and the service was quick. A good option for a casual pizza stop in Killarney, especially if you enjoy saucier pizzas.

04/06/2026: Order: chicken chop suey with fried noodles, no celery. Price: about €13.80, so fairly average for this type of takeaway. Neither cheap nor expensive. 6/10 Portion: standard size. Nothing special, but enough to fill you up. Food was ready in about 15 minutes, which is reasonable. 6/10 Packaging: plastic containers, simple paper bag, plus plastic carry bag. No napkins, no cutlery, no chopsticks. Very basic. 5/10 Fried noodles: taste was good. There was a bit of fried onion in them, but thankfully not too much, and it was properly fried rather than raw, which is definitely a positive point. 8/10 Main dish: quite a generous amount of chicken, which is a good point. Vegetables were cut into very large pieces, much bigger than necessary, but at least they were cooked properly and not left raw. Unfortunately, the biggest problem by far was the EXTREME OVERUSE OF SALT. The whole dish was so salty that it was CLOSE TO INEDIBLE. That alone ruined most of the meal for me. 3/10 Overall: 4/10. Average price, acceptable portion, good noodles and enough meat, but the HEAVILY OVERSALTED made the meal very hard to enjoy and brought the rating down heavily.

13/05/2026: Omg I hate give golden palace this score I have learning disability I can't youse credit card at all only cash bye law when you order you have youse cash hate do this I don't think right only card option youse be so good cash now only card not right not my fault my disability I can't use the card only cash I'm not ordering from here anymore I'm really disappointed I don't think manger s understands how hard it is for lot people disability not use card for me it's really hard to mange older people not everyone has card so it's just wrong I'm done

04/04/2026: Unfortunately after a very long wait for food that didnt arrive we got our money back and left. We queued for about 15 mins to order our breakfast, yes it was busy, but after 20 mins and the coffee gone cold we asked a very nice young waitress if she could check the status of our order as people who had come in after us had been served. She came back and said we should have the food in a few minuites. Another 10 mins later the food still had not arrived, asked the waitress again if she would check. She brought us fresh coffees and said the food should be out in a few mins. After another 10 mins we decided enough was enough and resquested our money back. Very dissapointed ........

15/02/2026: Had a nice chicken Caesar sandwich, tasty and filling. Nice place for a bite while garden shopping.

07/05/2026: Food was worst the prawns didn’t cooked properly and found a stone inside a bread the quantity is very low and it’s a worst taste ever

15/05/2026: Typical Five Guys quality, good burgers and exceptional fries, however it remains a once-in-a-while type of restaurant: 1 mini bacon cheeseburger + 1 bacon cheeseburger + 1 refillable drink + 1 regular fries, €37.50 (pricey but delicious)

18/11/2025: When you dine in and you’re being made a coffee in a plastic cup. I said I’d prefer a glass when I’m sitting in. Ridiculous.

17/11/2025: Came in to have a matcha today, Muhammad and Manon were very polite and lovely to speak to. will definitely be coming back again

16/03/2026: A hidden gem in Dublin. The photos on Google don’t do it justice. It’s hard to find - a hidden bar upstairs in the hotel - but it’s one of Dublin’s finest and most refined.

16/02/2026: Magical night of drinks with friends. Cosy, relaxed, stellar service, particularly from the amazing barman Oisín. 10/10 will be going back again

08/12/2025: Ordered online for the first time. Online prices €1 more than in the menu put though the door. Paid €4.50 for delivery and the cheeky delivery driver called me from inside the car to say he was outside then as i opened the door he falshed his lights for me to go to his car and collect it from him. The food was tasteless very salty and ended up in the bin. Very bad experience.

15/11/2025: Nicest Chinese in tallaght, if you like red Thai curry defo try it but have to say any dish we have tried have all been delicious and always roasting hot
