The best restaurants

08/01/2026: Today I ordered a caramel mocha from the manager. It was extremely burnt. Usually its meant to taste like a caramel hot chocolate. But all I tasted was bitter and burnt milk. Im not sure if they have set the coffee grinds wrong or if they just don't know what they're doing.

22/12/2025: Wasn't aware that this was a dog friendly cafe prior to visiting. Owner told us to bring the dog in. It was so nice that they asked us after seeing us outside. Staff and owner couldn't have been nicer, warm and so welcoming. Well laid out that our dog didn't bother anyone. Food and coffee was delicious. Will definitely visit again.

14/04/2026: Yet another price increase. Totally not worth it. Food was substandard. Chips were obviously reheated. Interior needs a new coat of paint. Everything looks tired, I cannot understand how they keep raising the price despite the decline in overall food quality. Ridiculous

04/04/2026: Gone far too expensive now for what you get. My same order is 3€ cheaper in the red rice. I have been a very regular customer there for a long time and go into collect the same order once a week. It comes to 24.80 but they refuse to give me a small bag of free prawn crackers unless I spend 25€. I have even offered to make up the difference or even give a tip which would bring the order over 25€ but they won’t do it. Given I spend at €1000 a year in the place I find this incredible. The girl behind the counter would hardly look at you never mind say hello to you. Incredibly stingy and very poor customer service.

16/11/2025: Ordered general tso’s and when I asked if I could order a side order of rice the woman taking my order responded “no”. I asked if the dish already comes with rice and she said yes. It wasn’t until I got home that I found no rice with my dish… 🙄

20/10/2025: Very rude and unprofessional young sales assistant. No basic manners, no “thank you” or “please.” Left a very unpleasant impression. Manager should look into this.

20/10/2025: Was in Earls last weekend, I had a lovely sandwich and coffee made by the super staff. Big shout out to Tom who was very friendly and obliging. I’ll be back!

18/04/2026: Best restaurant in the area! I had dinner there with my family and the owners were kind and welcoming. The service was excellent, and I even had the chance to meet the chefs, who were truly outstanding. The dishes were delicious and made with top-quality ingredients. I highly recommend giving it a try at least once!

27/04/2026: Very dated facilities. Staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. Have stayed in many better value for money campsites based on available facilities. Views of the lake from the campsite were great however and was quiet an peaceful when we stayed

31/07/2025: We really enjoyed X Spice, its tasty dished like the Hot Box and its friendly owner and staff. Sadly it closed permanently this month.

23/05/2026: Thindi is our regular takeaway spot. The biryani, fries, saag paneer, mango lassi, chicken 65, and pakoras are all nice. We didn’t like the jalfrezi or the mango curry. Overall, the food is good, and the staff are sometimes nice, though the experience can be a bit inconsistent

12/05/2026: Extremely disappointed. Ordered the 222 meal deal, chicken bunha., only to find they charged extra for chicken and it did not include rice... can't really call it a meal... or a deal!! Chicken dry and sauce bland. Terrible

12/06/2026: I have eaten their pizza and burger both were so fresh. I would recommend this store to everyone if you are in Gort and want to have fresh and yummiest food. 10/10 kudos to the team …

03/06/2026: I went there for a quick bite, ordered a pizza, woww their pizza is delicious..good job guys !!! Ordered a side portion of fresh chips and tenders as well. Chips are fresh and crunchy and chicken tenders are flavourful as always.

02/05/2026: I ordered as soon as they opened. It took a little while, but the burger and chicken were delicious, and the fries were freshly fried and tasty. It was my first time using fast food inside a gas station, so I was completely clueless about things like parking, but I managed. I thought the prices were a little on the expensive side.

15/02/2026: The worst subway iv ever been too and the fact that everything i asked for on the menu they didnt have the staff member was one of the worst people to be in the service Industry no social skills no manners rude to deal with and honestly couldn't have more contempt for their job I was there approx 5.30 on Sunday 15th of Feb if I was management I wouldn't want this person working there !!!

15/02/2026: We called In on Sunday 15th Feb. My wife, my daughter and myself. We got served by the absolute rudest girl I ever met in my life so far. Her manners didn't exist. Tutted sighed and moaned constantly aswell as smart replies. Not hard to be nice.

08/05/2026: Have to say these guys have the best spice bags , I usually order with xtra veg and satay sauce . Thanks guys keep up the good work .
