The best restaurants

19/11/2024: Tuvimos la desgracia de ir a este restaurante el fin de semana pasado, simplemente deberíamos haber girado y salir después de nuestra 1 calle unos minutos, ya que podíamos ver claramente a dónde iban las cosas. Estuvimos de pie durante 4 minutos con 4 o 5 empleados entrando y saliendo y ninguno de ellos reconoció que estábamos de pie allí. Cuando finalmente nos sentamos (estuvimos reservados durante semanas) nos dieron menús y nos dejaron 20 minutos antes de que nos pidieran incluso una orden de bebidas. Solo había otras 3 mesas sentadas en la noche y un muchacho en una de ellas tuvo que subir y obtener menús 3 veces ya que el personal seguía jugando con ellos. Las apuestas eran deliciosas, por lo tanto las 2 estrellas, pero todo lo demás estaba muy por debajo de la par para un llamado restaurante 4 ☆. Incluso el pudín salió quemado y la roulade apenas se veía en los platos que eran tan pequeños. Nos sentimos muy decepcionados e insultados por nuestra experiencia.

17/11/2024: Had been here last year and everything was lovely. Went to the Gaslight Brasserie for my mother's 60th Birthday in November 2024 and honestly the experience ruined the evening for us. Waiting over 25 minutes for drinks (had to ask about them twice before they finally arrived), over 30 minutes for starters, half the party were served their mains and it took 10 minutes for the next lot of food to arrive for the other half, food was lukewarm as were the sides, and food was mediocre at best. Honestly will never go back again after the experience.

27/12/2024: Really disappointing when you spend 63 euro on a takeaway and you don’t receive the full order. Tried calling multiple times to resolve the issue but did not get an answer. Also received garlic mayo that seems to be out of date (ordered on the 27th).

28/10/2024: Fast food at its best 👌 tasty too, staff are great 👍

21/12/2024: DO NOT ORDER HERE. The absolute worst Chinese experience I could ask for. Did not answer the phone and didn’t deliver what I asked for. Horrible service and worse food. Do not go here.

17/12/2024: I never usually leave reviews but just a warning to anyone - do not eat from here. I got severe food poisoning. Was very sick for three days straight, eventually had to go to an emergency doctor during the night and they put me on antibiotics for a week, telling me it was definitely food poisoning. Place should be shut down, dangerous and unsafe should not be serving food. Had never been so unwell in my life and I’ve had food poisoning before.

30/11/2024: I bought two caramel lattes for myself and my dad! The two baristas working in the cafe were very friendly and chatty. The lattes were lovely and the latte art on top was beautiful. The cafe also had a cozy vibe to it!

14/12/2024: Flat white was good, the donut was stale. Service was quick.

24/11/2024: ATTENTION!! THE STAFF OF THIS INSTITUTION IS INCORPORATED TO CRIMES!!! Arriving in Cork after cultural events, I wanted to eat one donut (Oreo) and drink a mug of jasmine tea. But there was no charge left on my phone at all and I politely asked the staff of the establishment to charge my iPhone 12 64gb black, to which I was refused in a very negative way. After I listened to all the countless insults that were addressed to me, I went out into the street with a discharged phone. I needed to go home, and there was no money left on my child leap card. It seemed impossible to replenish it, because of the discharged iPhone 12, in order to get money for the trip, I decided to sell my friend’s weed for 1 euro to a homeless guy, thereby violating the Irish law on the sale of psychoactive substances. Dear OffBeat Donuts employees, this is a crime on your conscience. Please change the policy on charging phones of potential clients, motherfuckers but the donuts are delicious 6/10

15/01/2025: The most (probably) horrible food I ever had in my life. Went there due to time and no possibility to find food nearby, I regret I didn’t check review. Luckily, I was not brave enough to pay €25 for a small sized pizza (highest price I’ve seen in all Europe), I ordered 2 small size, and received 2 3” vinegar taste dough disks with topped with doubtable source meat and cheddar. For the dishonest price of 7€. Avoid this place!

14/01/2025: Absolutely best cod always at Coffeys. Wife raves about their scampi. It’s a bit expensive but quality makes up for that. I’m glad I live forty kilometres, round trip, from them so it’s always a treat and never disappointes. Keep up the great work.

16/09/2024: Charged 16.50 for a takeaway fish and chips. Mushy peas were sour and smelled like sour milk. Lad that took order was arrogant and seemed in a really bad mood.

29/11/2024: Seafoods s good. Hummus s not traditional taste but still ok. Locations great. Overall s 👌

06/10/2024: I used to really like this restaurant but it's gone down hill. Portions small for prices. I had the smallest sized fish tacos ever , and food wasn't great tbh. Chinese dumplings were inedible. They need to change menu and prices .

15/01/2025: Have just ordered on 15 January and it’s the best sweet and sour chicken I've had since moving to Dublin from the States. Thank you!!

10/11/2024: I made a order for delivery and got a spice bag and spring roll, when I say this was the worst order I have ever made I mean it wholeheartedly, the spicebag was buy one get one free and I know now why... 2 bags of "spicey" chips and a few chunks of so called "chicken" this was the most stringey/gooey jelly chicken I have ever tried, ITS NOT CHICKEN, and the spring roll was a disgrace, a big fat lump of grease and it was just grey inside, safe to say none of the food was eaten and the small bit I did eat I'm sure it's going to wreck my insides and wake me up at stupid o'clock and I'll have to make a run for it if you know what I mean. I would AVOID this restaurant and save your money. The delivery driver was nice doe (bauld man) happy man.

14/10/2024: Ive honestly never felt so robbed in my life got 3 kebab meals It's It's absolutely disgrace to charge 42 euro for a 3 kebab meals, and the kabab is tiny with hardly any meat on it

28/12/2024: Absolute joke!!! The front of house was beyond rude, made smart comments and wasn’t one bit helpful. To top it off she didn’t even give cutlery when she knew we were getting the train home. We paid €2 for about 5 prawn crackers which you would usually get for free out of any Chinese…. AVOID AT ALL COSTS oh and satay sauce had a layer of oil on the top

23/12/2024: We often have had takeaways from here when we lived in the city always good. Tuesday we decided to have a meal as we had moved out of the city & not been for months. The Spring rolls were great, the ribs debatable & the Chicken Pad This was awful. The noodles were glutinous with absolutely no taste, limes I think were lemons, no nuts & it was hunt the chicken if you could get the noodles unstuck To say there was 7 tiny pieces might be an exaggeration. So disappointing, we will not be returning.

07/01/2025: I found a hair in my milkshake today unfortunately. The staff weren't wearing hair nets while preparing food that I could see. They responded well when I notified them and offered a new one but I didn't trust the cleanliness at that point and opted to not be charged for it instead. The quality of the food has declined over the years unfortunately. I used to like going here for the burgers but the meat used now is thin and poor quality. I hope it improves again because it's nice having a diner style place to eat in the wellpark area.

04/01/2025: I brought my son and his 3 friends here after the cinema for icecream we waited 20 minutes for them just to take our order, disgusting service, will not be coming back

04/10/2024: A delicious goat cheese on sourdough accompanied with Berry tea, just now Oct 4th 11:30 The 2 staff on duty just now here in The Pavilions are 6 stars, happily assisting everyone where needed. I was carrying multiple bags, so they brought everything to the table and even a hot water refill. Well worth the break, and I hope the staff receive some acknowledgement for being so good.

01/10/2024: O'Briens is a guarantee for sandwiches. Always. We use to go when we have the chance. But in the pavilion is for sure the worst we have been to. It's Tuesday and is not so busy, all the tables are dirty and full of trays with stuff. I moved stuff and cleaned myself to have a seat. And The girl at the till is absolutely unkind. I understand working with customers is hard and sometimes a challenge and we all have a day no, but this doesn't allows her to treat people with complacency.
