The best restaurants

17/02/2025: Just had the best meal at southern Spices that was originally Square One Café, they were serving incredible Indian food! The flavors were rich, the spices perfectly balanced, and the service was so warm and welcoming. A fantastic addition to the area—can’t wait to go back!

16/05/2024: Went to the one in dundrum and had 2 young girls begging the counter who proceeded to talk amongst themselves and didn’t engage once during the order. Honestly was more like hassle and an interruption for them. Disappointing as we always go on the regular and now have now been put off going back

13/06/2024: Este es un gran restaurante. Los precios son muy razonables y el personal siempre ha sido amable. La comida también es deliciosa. Recomendaría encarecidamente este restaurante a todo el mundo.

23/11/2024: The reason it got 4 stars is the premise was cold on arrival at 6pm ( it doesn’t open at 17:30 as stated on trip adviser ) I had the Chicken supreme and better half had the fish and chips. Have to say very tasty. We were served by Anastasia who was very polite, moving us to a warmer position etc. I recommend Nivana, but leave to a bit later if weather is cold

13/08/2025: It was a lovely place to sit and enjoy some amazing coctails and great food. The place is cosy and quite big and the staff is really friendly.

11/08/2025: We stopped in for lunch at a this café bar in Killarney town. It was extremely busy, which is always a good sign, but unfortunately, the customer care and personal touch were lacking this time. Staff seemed rushed and a little detached, which took away from the overall experience. That said, the food itself was very nice, and we will return, hopefully next time with a bit more warmth in the welcome to match the quality on the plate.

19/06/2024: Nice spot. Plenty to cast your eye over. Great decor. Service was quick. Food was very tasty. Only thought it was a small bit pricey.

27/04/2025: Situado en el centro de killarney. Parece cualquier otro pub / restaurante desde el exterior, pero es el interior lo que lo distingue. Estábamos buscando un almuerzo ligero y nos quedamos impresionados con la elección que se ofrece. Dos miembros serviciales del personal de guardia que nos atendieron muy bien. excelente comida y dri nk que tenía un precio razonable. Volveré.

06/03/2025: Este café se ve precioso desde fuera. Esperaba una pintoresca boulangerie de estilo francés con un servicio encantador, pero la realidad es muy diferente una vez que entras. Vine a las 8. 45 am un sábado por la mañana. Cuando entré al café, estaba vacío, así que le pregunté al servidor femenino si estaba abierto. Ella respondió que abren a las 8 am, pero ella no estaba sirviendo todavía porque "el pavimento exterior se está limpiando". Esa es una extraña razón para no servir a los clientes... ¿por qué las aceras afuera que se limpian serían una razón para no abrir al servicio? Esta es la norma en todas las ciudades. El tipo que limpiaba las aceras estaba muy lejos por la calle, y hacía tiempo que había terminado con la acera fuera del café. El servidor dijo que podía esperar adentro hasta que ella estuviera lista para empezar a servir. Supuse que quería decir unos minutos, pero no, pasé unos buenos 7-8 minutos parado allí como un limón completo en el café caliente hirviendo, pero ella todavía no abrió para el servicio. Ella no dijo nada en todo este tiempo y procedió a agregar un montón de pasteles a la pantalla de la ventana. Desafortunadamente ningún otro lugar cercano estaba abierto en este momento, así que decidí esperar. Eso fue hasta que otro cliente entró y ella comenzó a charlar alegremente con él, y le permitió empujar delante de mí. Me fui. Los pasteles parecían miserables y como supermercado barato - comprado stodge. ¡No parece haber nada auténticamente francés en este lugar!

21/04/2024: Cannot believe this restaurant is ranked 4th best restaurant in Dun Laoghaire. Booked through Open-Table (thinking it was necessary to book for a Saturday night). I don’t like giving a poor review but amazingly we were the only people in the restaurant from 8pm on a Saturday night! Waitress was nice and friendly, starters and main courses (chicken) were good. Dessert was a big let down. The whipped cream was gone off and left a bad taste! Maybe this is just a daytime place because it certainly cannot be recommended for night time. We won’t be back!
