14/05/2025: Un lugar fantástico para comprar un vino de especialidad. Personal servicial y muy bien informado. Sin duda volveré, cuando visite Dublín de nuevo.

08/12/2024: Muy nuevo en Irlanda y Ballsbridge. Era viernes por la noche sucio, Susan llamó a la paradoja francesa alrededor de las cuatro o treinta y preguntó si seríamos bienvenidos para una copa o dos. Jacques lo consideró, convenció a mi esposa de que comiéramos nuestra comida principal en el almuerzo, éramos nuevos y apreciaríamos una breve visita. Acababa de hablar con mi hija sofocándose en la playa de Sydney, cuando salimos a caminar 200 m. Estaba lloviendo, con viento y volviéndose casa. En el FP nos dieron la bienvenida calificados como haber llamado y subido escaleras al restaurante Mae, sentado y quaffing Pinot Noir en un minuto y cada vez más cómodo. El francés era el básico de la maison, nuestra joven, sirviendo, era de Niza y aunque estaban ocupados montando el restaurante, encantador y atento. La cocina abierta con aromas de seducción. Jacques, cuya abuela había sido doctora en este edificio compartió algo de historia, y claro orgullo por Mae, y Grainne el patrón + chef 'par excelente'. También mostró una clara pasión por sus vinos, todos de viñedos con los que habían trabajado durante eones. Metí una pequeña charla de rugby y quedé encantado. Todo se trata de personas y relaciones. Sin duda espero con interés el almuerzo pronto y una larga visita a la bodega.

01/04/2025: I decided to bring myself on a solo date for dinner in Jacks. It was daunting going solo but I had the loveliest experience. The waiting staff made me so welcome and were attentive without being invasive, the food was lovely and they accommodated a special order. It was made even more special by the magical piano playin of JP, a pure joy and a gentleman. JP plays here Thur- Sun and OMG is he worth the visit to hear. Oh and the view from the restaurant onto the sea is AMAZING. I will be back again for sure, again and again.

01/07/2025: There is one golden rule when travelling: you eat where locals eat. It never fails. Courtyard Café has well-earned the straight five stars in its reviews: on the spot made food and snacks, great coffee and friendly atmosphere. So, do not hesitate and go to visit Sligo and, when there, go to Courtyard Café or viceversa.

11/07/2025: This needs to be updated to full hotel, at the moment only doing b and b,fabulous food lovely breakfast, well maintained inside, lovely and professional staff, credit to them, hope one day we will see it to greatness, well done girls and thanks for a lovely stay

25/05/2025: Difficult! Saltees is a hotel/motel with a restaurant. The food is delicious and of good quality, the service is good, and the staff is friendly. But: The restaurant atmosphere is unworthy of a high-class hotel. The seating seems cheap, the ambiance lacks motivation, and the bar is a permanent fixture—including drunk and rowdy guests. Furthermore, there's a pool table right next to the restaurant tables, within easy reach of the cues. It's a real shame.

13/03/2025: Nosotros (los tres mosqueteros de Bélgica, Bulgaria y Polonia) pasamos por el Abbot’s Pub en Cork, esperando una pinta de Guinness, solo para descubrir que no estaba en el menú. ¡Pero qué sorpresa nos esperaba! El propietario nos recibió con los brazos abiertos y nos presentó sus fantásticas cervezas en casa. No solo nos dejó boquiabiertos con la selección, sino que también nos invitó a un tour privado, compartiendo fascinantes conocimientos sobre la historia cervecera y la cultura cervecera de Cork en todo el mundo. El ambiente era de primera categoría, el personal increíblemente amable, y nos fuimos zumbando de emoción. Una visita obligada para cualquier entusiasta de la cerveza! 🍺✨ Gran saludo al propietario Anton, Finbarr y el resto del personal.

12/03/2025: Llego a la ciudad de Cork unas 4 o 5 veces al año. Siempre visito este bar por la gran variedad de cervezas que se ofrecen. Muy recomendable.

25/08/2024: Hidden gem. The breakfasts are unreal, great flavours and choice- all dishes looked amazing. Staff are super friendly and setting is relaxing 10/10

21/08/2024: If you would like to see the garden of Eden on a plate ask for a BLT. Never seen anything like it , a plate full of lettuce. Very hard to eat this , the bacon (also Mediterranean) physically very hard to eat , so I didn't, avoid this BLT

30/05/2025: Such a lovely cafe in Waterville. Fluffy pancakes, delicious cooked breakfast and delicious granola bowls. We’ve visited for lunch previously which was also fantastic. Friendly service and great coffee.

25/05/2025: My mom and I stopped into this place and it was so cute. It’s facing the water and we had a great view by the window. The food was amazing, we both got toasties and it came with a side salad and chips. Great cafe to stop by when on a roadtrip!
