The best restaurants

04/04/2025: Flying out of Cork airport all my life and I’m aware this venue got an extension in the first part of 2025 which doubled if not tripled its size. Visited today since this occurred only to be shocked and the disorganisation, filth, chaos, and general bad management of this venue - all at a quiet time for the airport with respect to the volume of flights due to depart In addition everything was significantly overpriced. As other reviewers have pointed out, €20 for a burger. It’s also now not actually possible to get just a drink if you’re by yourself as you need to provide a table number in order to actually place an order at the till. I wasn’t by myself while there, but left scratching my head as to all the times I visited alone traveling for work and having a pint (while the venue was a third of the size) and managed to place an order and/or get a seat just fine Disaster

03/04/2025: Extremely over priced and poor quality food. Burger and chips 20 euro and a dip 2 euro. Was meant to be bacon on the burger but none provided. Service was ok but the quality of the food is shocking considering the cost.

10/12/2024: If I could give a zero I would. Raw chicken wings and the worst chicken and chips I've ever had.

02/12/2024: Place is closed down yet still took my order and my money stay away from this place the owners obviously still have their payments coming

11/03/2025: Just after leaving and have to say food was delicious but unfortunately your staff member on the till counter has appalling manners,this is the 2nd time we have come across rude, arrogant till staff,they really are letting down your business

02/02/2025: Charged €5.15 for a cappuccino with oat milk takeaway!! I will not be returning at these prices very expensive for a coffee

12/04/2025: The "crispy bacon" was not crispy at all, barely any spring onion so "the irresistible cbg fries", wouldn't recommend.

28/12/2024: My friend and I went here we both got burgers the food was shocking about an hour later he got food poisoning and vomited

17/03/2025: Walked in to grab a quick meal at 12am. Was met with a really tall bouncer with a card machine waving it in my face asking what did I want. Ive never experienced a bouncer dealing with payments and orders before. I ordered mixed donar no veg and by the time I paid and was putting my phone back in my pocket, the food was put infront of me. To my surprise, I said "jesus is this even cooked?" And the fella behind the counter said, "Yes obviously ".. I got home and opened the bag to find the worst looking & most disgusting kebab l've ever bought in my life. It wasn't a mixed donar, it was all the same meat. It tasted awful, it didn't taste like real meat at all and it left a strange taste in my mouth. Bread on the kebab was soggy. Overall - it was the worst experience ive ever had with a kebab shop. The food safety authorities definitely need to pay a secret visit between 12-3am. This place used to be great 10 years ago. But obviously the owner Tony has retired now or thinks he can't be shut cause he has the best location in town so he doesnt give a shit about quality. Definitely not up to any standard. You'd get better in a 3rd world country. Very disappointed.

08/03/2025: Worst kebab ever If you're French and you're used to good kebabs, go to sleep, it's not worth it

22/02/2025: Ordered from here yesterday whoever is managing this place has no respect or understanding from a customer point of view. We asked for a return because the chicken balls looked like charcoal to which the woman (manager) started screaming on the phone. To which they demanded the chicken balls back which they are probably going to re-use for sale..considering how addiment they were to get them back, no problem I said. It took us a few phone calls and 10 minutes of arguing over a few chicken balls which are basically just flour and barely any chicken. This company has no respect or care for what they do. Never will I order from these again. NEVER

21/01/2025: Ordered Spice bag, Very crispy was lovely. Also singapore fried rice my favourite and was lovely too will order again!

27/02/2025: It’s obvious staff not happy. Young man was pleasant and was doing most of the work, serving, clearing/cleaning tables. Coffee was good but pastries/scones were stale.

09/12/2024: Very poor service. What a letdown! I ordered a 18th birthday cake from the Blackrock Store a week before I needed it and it was not available when I want to collect it on the day of the party with only a poor alternative offered or a refund. Having ordered and paid in advance should mean I can rely on having an impressive cake not have to scramble last minute to find an alternative. The attitude was poor from the sales associate who informed me it was a mistake and not his fault. I requested that an alternative large cake be sourced and delivered but he just laughed and offered me the small cakes available at 4pm on a Saturday- none the right flavour or size. I will not be going there again.

28/01/2025: The woman owner with a bad temper who doesn't treat her staff well. I won't be going back there just because I see the bad treatment she gives her staff. She's very serious, and her food too.

22/10/2024: The chicken was smelly and disgusting. I believe it was spoiled. Some places think they can still sell expired products instead of throwing them away to avoid waste

17/04/2025: Just got a mixed kabab From yous I will say it’s worst mix kabab iv ever got in my life it was as dry as a nun I would not recommend anyone to go here and i would advise you take down proper kababs from over the door until yous actually learn how to make one

31/03/2025: Worst food and very rude. I asked for 2 Mix Shawarma, sauce seprate, they send me chicken and sauce on it, then when I called they said there is no return or exchange and good luck, then hang the phone on me while talking! Not sure how these type of people still exist. If you order from them you will end up putting the food on the bin and lose your money, just like I did!

19/01/2025: Two staff that cannot handle the amount of customers lining up. Myself and two friends just wanted a coffee. We queued for 10 mins but had to leave without our coffees as the staff were too busy making sandwiches.

26/12/2024: We had one of the worst customer service experiences at O’Briens in Jervis Shopping Centre. We initially chose a wrap, but a staff member abruptly intervened and insisted that we opt for a sandwich instead, claiming it was “better.” This approach felt manipulative and unprofessional, as it seemed like they were trying to push a pre-prepared product rather than respecting our choice. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on the confidence they have in their offerings and creates a negative impression for customers.

26/03/2025: Me and a friend walked into lighthouse full of enthusiasm to try it for the 1st time, we walked in the door and was greeted by a man with a moustache, we asked him did he serve milkshakes and told us did we see it on the menu in a displeasing way. We asked to order a pizza, this was at 1:45am when they close at 4am, and he told us he couldn't serve it as they were closing which was quite surprising to us as they said online they closed at 4am, we ordered 2 wraps one chicken and one doner (both extra spicy)and 2 fantas, the cans were over 4 months expired and as we were waiting for our food we heard a microwave turn on, this was seen by both of us as we were standing at the counter. We then left and took a bite found out how disgusting it was and threw it in the bin. Lighthouses represents a point of hope, but in tralee it represents melancholy, if you ever wanted to know what depression tastes like i would recommend you go to lighthouse, if not i would keep away from the door.

11/11/2024: Ordered a pizza 2 hours before Close and they cancelled my order after I had been waiting an hour.

20/10/2024: Let us stand there looking at the menu deciding what we wanted for about 5 mins, only when we go to order does she decide to tell us there’s no pizza. Why wouldn’t you tell us as you stood there watching us?
