The best restaurants

18/07/2024: Frendly helpful staff. More attention to general cleaning,crocery and cuttelery. Teapots need deep, pastries were hard, don't know if they were stail or kept in chill cabinet

02/07/2024: The food was terrible, with a distinct taste of mould.

10/07/2024: Kati was very helpful. She was prompt. The menu was extensive. The prices were reasonable and the quality of the food was excellent! I highly recommend Primavera and give it a five.

07/06/2024: Very disappointed that when we requested bread, olives and balsamic to share we were told they didn't do this!!! Its an ITALIAN RESTAURANT! Food was good, staff were friendly if a little overwhelmed by our request! Most annoying of all was that when we're leaving we saw.. guess what?? Oil, balsamic and bread they had bread! Felt it was a little penny pinching..

19/02/2025: Not a Italian food not good no veg for pizza when asked only meat and roasted peppers : I wouldn’t recommend this place at all as it’s over priced and food was reheated. The vegetable I got with my lamb Shank was soggy and over cooked . The roasted potatoes where very dry all seemed reheated. Defo wouldn’t return.

15/02/2025: We went for dinner in Balcone resteraunt last night , I ordered bruschetta for starter , what I was served was not in any way a resteraunt standard bruschetta , it was a cheesy garlic bread , garlic butter which with melted cheddar and two cherry tomatoes placed on top . This resteraunt is apparently an Italian resteraunt but even the carbonara I had for my main course was more like soup , it had a very nice flavour but definitely wasn’t anywhere near authentic carbonara . I nearly needed a spoon to eat it, it had onion and grated cheese on top which I thought unusual. We had an assorted dessert and they were fine . Service was extremely slow . I would not recommend this restaurant

14/01/2025: Never go this restaurant, your hard earned money gone worst 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 I order chicken biryani and i told them please make it spicy like Bangladeshi food .but don't do it the food i get like they cook it before, when i order they put it microwave heat and serve me . very disappointed, worst food ,worst service by waiters.Never go there

17/11/2024: Hi everyone, Just stay as far away from this restaurant as much as possible. This is an honest review. I am writing this review for the welfare of people of Cork. This restaurant is the worst among the restaurants I visited in my life. And it’s the same after 3 years I visited again. Nothing changed. I went out with my friends for dinner, ordered few different curries with beaf and chicken, along with chapati and naan. It was difficult to order because the guy tried to force us to order things according to his choice not ours. Now the order arrived and story started. The food is literally 0.1/5 in taste. I asked the guy to change the chapatis as they were literally burnt. Not eatable. The guy gave his first argument that (we sell chapatis like this, you have to eat them burnt as it is) Then his arrogance kicked in and he stoped serving us, we left the restaurant with worst experience and spoiled night. As I am an asian guy and I know what they are selling to people of Cork on the name of Indian food, Absolutely nothing. Pretty much same curry thing with hundreds of names. You won’t feel a difference in any thing. Long story short. Please stay away. And now I realised that there are loads of reviews of same kind as I am giving. I regret I would have read those reviews before I had given them chance to spoil our night out.

31/01/2025: This hotel was a life-saver when I arrived, after finding the Airbnb I rented in a dark, secluded bog (No thanks!). They went out of their way to create last minute accommodations for me, with a level of gracious hospitality that I'll never forget. I look forward to my return, for a delicious cup of chowder, a cozy bed to sleep in, clean accommodations, a beautiful view, and their second-to-none warm reception.

27/07/2025: A humble unassuming restaurant. Only seats about 10, probably mostly a takeaway. But the food! I had the lamb biryani. The lamb was cooked to perfection. The accompanying sauce was full of flavour. My wife’s meal was also top class. Next time we’re in Ennis we will revisit and try another dish
