The best restaurants

09/07/2026: Got charged €11:50 for a coke zero and Lucozade up there yesterday for Willie Clancy. Temple bar prices! Could hardly believe it! Won't be going back

10/10/2025: Whaoo we had fish and chips,it was truly beautiful fish and chips were great, definitely will be back

29/05/2026: Went for dinner while staying at the Maldron hotel. Menus looked nice, but prices are high and food is subpar. Don’t get the shrimp: it was tough and tasted bad. Better yet, go somewhere else. Service was subpar as well. They forgot our drinks and never checked in to refill water. Restaurant is convenient for hotel patrons, but it was not a good experience for me.

16/06/2025: I ordered chicken wings as am gluten free were not cooked enough. Not many options available. Very disappointing experience.

15/06/2025: Called here for breakfast seated straight away by friendly young lad. Ordered 2 breakfasts 2 coffee that's all we got. Waited almost an hour got fed up paid for our coffee and left. So a full hour wasted really. I'd avoid at all costs.

21/07/2025: Ordered Fish and Chips last Saturday night 19th. Have had this dish on numerous occasions in Slevins. When it arrived the fish was the colour of a brown leather shoe and the batter was of the same consistency! All three people at the table agreed it was inedible so I sent it back. 15/20 minutes later still waiting. The Manager Michelle told me the Chef thought the batter was a funny colour so was making another one! Finally arrived and it was worse. Not helped by the skin showing through the burnt batter at the back! The Manager here needs not to adopt such a defensive and rude attitude. I was told.......she tasted the fish and it was fine, nobody else complained and her final insulting parting shot....we would be happy to welcome you again but suggest you don't order the Fish and Chips! Now the staff here are normally extremely pleasant and the food very good. All my friends go there so we were very surprised to be treated in this manner. My companions food was great. The servers were lovely. Will go again but Slevins you need to perhaps arrange further training here. Customers matter and good customer service is essential for any business.

21/07/2025: We were staying at the nearby hotel. This was relatively close and an easy walk. We had an enjoyable meal and the service was great.

18/01/2026: I just had Prawn Red Massaman Curry and unfortunately, instead of fried rice, I got steamed rice, the dish was not spicy (even though it is marked with two peppers), the sauce was watery

07/05/2025: Had a great lunch at Sullivan’s hotel. It was superb and the service from the staff was exceptional. Highly recommend this place off the main highway.

03/05/2025: This is the most incredible find! Wonderful food, great value, incredible service and amazing staff. Top it off with an atmosphere of home from home where everyone is treated like family. We were lucky to find this venue so please please do not miss it, it's worth stopping in for real home cooked food and a heart warming chat with the owner and staff. Highly recommend!

30/07/2025: We just moved to Ballylynan and ordered from Rockys for the first time. Absolutely blown away by the quality of their pizza. Genuine wood fired with incredible flavour. Turn around speed was impressive.

18/04/2025: Rocky’s garlic cheese chips would be what I’d ask for my last meal. 10/10 always.
