The best restaurants

03/06/2025: The best sweets shop we came across in our Ireland roadtrip. The sweets and candy were fresh and they had so many options! Very well priced as well, we got a full bag for 4€. Highly recommend checking out! Lots of options for everyone.

28/03/2025: Best candy store that we found in Ireland. You step in the door and it's immediately a blast to the past with the glass counter with drawers for them to give you whatever you are looking for by weight, along with all of the oldies / goodies that you haven't seen on a shelf in a while, mixed with some amazing chocolates. The conversation with the mom / son duo about where we were from and our itinerary was great and they even offered a few tips that altered some of the end plans for the end of our trip and I'm so grateful. We will definitely return the next time we are in Ireland.

04/01/2026: The hotel's location, 10-15 minutes from Trinity College, the docks, and Pearse Station, is ideal. The entire staff, from reception to restaurant, housekeeping, and night staff, was impeccable. 👌🏻 The rooms are very well heated, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is functional. The restaurant is very good. When I return to Dublin, I will definitely book this hotel again.

22/12/2023: One of the best meals I have had in a long time. The food was beautifully prepared and served promptly. It was delicious and a very full portion. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. There was a good atmosphere. The music was a little old, but each song was a classic. Highly recommended and worth a try. Thanks for a great meal.

27/10/2023: Aroi has been a delightful surprise in the quaint town of Carrigaline. Despite my initial reservations in a smaller locale, this establishment exceeded all expectations with its exceptional menu offerings. Our recent visit saw us savoring the Hong Kong Chicken and Teriyaki Duck Donburi, both of which left an indelible impression. The Hong Kong chicken, reminiscent of Panda Express's Orange Chicken in the United States, was a flavor-packed delight. The Teriyaki Duck Donburi, equally commendable, exhibited an exquisite fusion of flavors and a generous selection of vegetables. Aroi's cocktail selection is a testament to their dedication to culinary excellence. The Espresso Martini, in particular, was a standout. Before our main course, we indulged in the Thai calamari starter, which truly transported our taste buds. The use of chili icons on the menu to indicate the spiciness level of each dish is a testament to the restaurant's authenticity and thoughtfulness, making it easy for patrons to select dishes tailored to their preferences. This level of attention to detail is much appreciated, and it genuinely reflects the authentic Asian culinary experience. Moreover, the staff at Aroi is not only attentive but also a pleasure to interact with. I highly recommend Aroi to anyone seeking a truly authentic and exceptional dining experience in Carrigaline. It's a gem in this small town and a testament to the culinary prowess of the team behind it.

25/03/2025: I contacted Matt in a panic at very short notice to cater for my Mam's funeral when we were let down. He was absolutely incredible. The food and service he provided was just perfect but much more than that, at a very difficult time, he was kind and patient and took wonderful care of our friends and family. He does not just cater your event he takes care of people. I also had the opportunity to taste his amazing scones when I popped in the settle the account. Amazing!!! Treat yourself and pop in and sample his fare.

27/04/2024: Really good and authentic traditional Indian cuisine. Served by lovely and attentive people. Had the Farahi and it was delicious

10/11/2025: Just walked out of this place, I've been going here for months get a standards 3in1 with extra onions everytime. Today is the first time I seen the manager / owner, I asked for the same 3in1 with extra onions, he refused to put the onions in and said it wasn't him but the kitchen that wouldn't do it. I explained I always come here and get it with extra onions! I ended up walking away , he should of got abuse because he had a bad attitude! To be truthfull, the curry sauce is not great here, and I only come cause it's on the way home !

20/07/2025: Very poor quality food. I’ve never had food this bad in Cork. Do not try it. Seriously disappointing. The only good item was the vegetable spring roll .
