28/07/2024: Fantastic experience here tonight! Had beautiful fried chicken & fried tofu, very tasty chicken wings and delicious cauliflower wings. The staff were fantastic and the food very tasty but by far the biggest standout were the fries. Probably the best fries I’ve ever had in my entire life. If you like crispy, skin on fries then these are the ones you are looking for! Beautifully crispy and light outside with a hint of crunch on the small ones, fantastically fluffy on the inside smooth high quality potato taste, perfectly seasoned where you get the hint of salt that enhances the clearly high quality potato flavor and not even a hint of old burnt oil flavor. 100% a now must visit spot.

26/06/2025: This is a little hidden gem . The shop is full of interesting things for the house . Books on food and veg . They sell flasks of all kind. Knives 🔪. tea pots pots pans . Fresh fruit and veg . Fantastic variety of wines. And oils Chocolates. gifts for everyone. I had soup and bread it was fantastic with coffee and coffee cake . My friend had duck with beetroot. The staff are friendly and helpful. 💕👍

12/08/2025: The balcony has a great view, once you get used to the roof in front of you 😉 For an extra star, balcony furniture or at least a small table and perhaps a hairdryer would have been necessary. Some breakfast items are available on-site, and you can make coffee and tea not only in the room – that's a plus. The restaurant is open on Saturdays and Sundays; the food is really good, and the student staff does their best.

03/08/2025: Had a meal there this afternoon. Waited nearly an hour for our meal then main course arrived but no vegetables. Had to ask for them when we had eaten nearly half of our meal. Service was extremely poor and I know it is a Bank Holiday weekend but they should be prepared when they know they are going to be busy.

19/11/2024: Food was lovely as usual, service was good, but once 8.20pm came, we felt like we had to leave, staff started cleaning up & setting the place for breakfast, mostly residential people there, I just felt pushed out.

13/10/2024: We dined in Porto’s for a birthday meal and we have a lovely time, the food was lovely. We had a very kind waitress, Hattie, she was extremely helpful and attentive

09/08/2025: After many visits to Glengarriff we always enjoy the welcome and the food with Joan and Johnny The seafood especially the homemade scampi is delicious as is just having a drink with a soup and sandwich food to suit all budgets We wish them continued success

03/08/2025: Rehusado a servirnos postre y té solamente, llamaré algún día NO clientes de la Universidad y veré lo contento que estarías de servirnos entonces, Adiós.

29/03/2025: Mi esposa y yo fuimos a The Brickyard para celebrar su cumpleaños y cenar. No se puede reservar y elegimos un momento ocupado. Tomamos una cerveza afuera y nos llamaron a una mesa dentro rápidamente. Las cervezas eran fabulosas y yo soy un cervecero! Destacaron los Mad Scientist Imperial Stouts. El menú de comida ofrece platos pequeños y grandes. Tenía el plato pequeño de salmón. Estaba delicioso y tenía un montón de diferentes verduras, así como un arroz integral. Estaba lejos de ser pequeño y serviría como plato principal. Los camareros eran amables conocedores y eficientes. Había muchas opciones sin gluten. Definitivamente volvería.

14/12/2024: Por fin... 4a vez tratando de conseguir una mesa para la comida aquí ... finalmente Nicola nos llevó a una mesa ... la comida era encantadora ... nuestros camareros Josh y Brody estaban atentos a la niebla.

12/04/2025: This Spot is amazing we were welcomed with great customer service provided by the host and the main Waitress of the restaurant, I got the Lemon Crochettes with Tiger Prawns and she got Irish Chicken wings with BBQ sauce for starters with drinks White Wine and a Guiness for myself for my main I got a 10oz strip loin steak with sweet potato fries very enjoyable great atmosphere and great vibe around the building Thank you for your amazing service Jake & Mia
