Royal City

11/10/2024: Just ordered a takeaway, chicken wings, chips and a yakisoba. €31.50 with a 15% discount, quite expensive, €6 deliveryto Celbridge. The chicken was quite dry, not very flavourful. The yakisoba was very small, about 5 prawns, practically no vegetables, not nearly as good as I have had elsewhere, €14.50. I will not be ordering again, much better available in Celbridge.
14/08/2024: This Restuarant was highly recommended by my daughter in law so myself wife and I decided to try it out.
We’d never had Korean food before so it was a ‘shot in the dark’ so to speak.
It was magnificent! We were served by Katie, a most informed and affable lady, who went through the menu with us.
We chose the pork bar b q which arrived with several dishes, and Katie chopped and cooked the pork on the table (each table has a grill build in).
Condiments included lettuce leaves, onion in sauce, several spices and small potatoes.
I cannot rate this experience highly enough.
Wonderful staff and excellent food. .

Copper Pan Takeaway
Enniscorthy
24/05/2024: Worked here very briefly, long enough to know never to eat out of there again. I’m genuinely surprised they’re still open due to how unhygienic it was. Easy to know the health inspector doesn’t call very often, that’s all I’ll say… 🥴🥴

Irish ferries
Rosslare
16/09/2024: Have used the Stena line and in future will stick to the Stena Line. Communication from Irish Ferries is extremely poor, in fact nonexistent. No one contacted to advise us of the change in boat and therefore facilities. When we asked on board it was just a contact them yourself attitude. I did email and received no apology, so I further asked when was the update email prior to sailing for when the change of facilities. No reply. We booked and paid for the Club Class on the Rosslare to Pembroke only on arrival to be told that on this boat it didn't exist. There was only 1 working toilet on thr boat for women which meant large queues and foul smelling for the duration. On the whole the boat felt outdated, grubby and as the cost was the same as the Stena very overpriced. Never again, I'll stick to the much better value and conditions of Stena for this crossing.
04/09/2024: Irish ferries
Rosslare
Sailed on the 14.45 crossing from Pembroke to Rosslare.
Bad weather meant the crossing was delayed - completely fair enough - but on arrival we were kept on the car deck waiting for over 45 minutes.
No explanation. Could not have been due to the weather as it had passed by then and we were securely docked.
We missed a restaurant booking due to this, so no food for us.
I emailed the company suggesting compensation - no chance. I then emailed again suggesting perhaps an upgrade to Club Class on our return trip as a tiny, tiny apology.
They couldn’t be bothered to even reply.
So….
Dear Irish Ferries.
1) What was the problem with getting the bow doors to open on arrival?
2) Why are you so extremely rude as to not reply to my second email?

Ard Na Breátha
Donegal
31/12/2023: The location, the house, and the room were beautiful. Theresa is a very lovely woman. We had a great night sleep and a fantastic breakfast. We will definitely go back for a little break.
13/10/2023: Irish hospitality at its best.
First choice when visiting Donegal town.
