The best restaurants

09/07/2024: We went for a late Sunday lunch around 5pm. It’s not a traditional carvery but they did offer, turkey, ham and beef plated Sunday lunch which was delicious. By 5pm they had run out of the special and 3 other menu options but I guess that is our fault for not going earlier. Our server was very young but she was very friendly and fid a great job.

05/03/2025: Lovely store. Very well laid out. Good products. Staff and management poor. Bad atmosphere.

17/02/2025: the toilet is always out of order. I don’t know if the owner doesn’t know about or if the staffs squad is lazy and they don’t wanna clean it later but it never is open to use.

30/11/2024: Delicioso tenía un crepé de azúcar y mantequilla y comió hasta el último bocado. El servicio fue rápido. El personal es encantador. El lugar está limpio y es fácil de encontrar.

16/08/2024: Staff really unpleasant and didn't seem to want to help out. To busy dealing with the deliveries. This looked more important than offering good customer service. The onion starters came out burnt and rock hard. Asked for water and the staff wasn't att all happy. Poored water on table and floor Never tried to clean it up.

20/04/2024: Best Indian we have ever eaten at. We travel from derry on a regular basis just to get this and have done for years. Food is amazing and staff are always very friendly and helpful and lovely. Great quality for money. Can't fault it. Will always be our fav.

12/10/2023: Haven't been in Gorey in ages, met a friend, walked past this place and decided we would try it out. Decor nice but could do with more soft furnishings to help with noise. Quick seating and taking orders however food was very slow in coming, we had to ask twice for it. When it did arrive, they forgot the chips so they came another 10 mins later. Food was good but nothing suburb. However when came to pay was a bit shocked, Got two sausages (which were a bit well done), three eggs, beans and toast with a can of drink and it was around 18e which i thought was a bit steep. So dont think will be going back

01/09/2024: Food wasn’t as good as it was previously. Beef very fatty and not tender portion size not great. Kids sausages very skinny and burnt. Not awful, edible but not worth the money. Staff lovely couldn’t be nicer 10/10 for hospitality.

24/08/2024: Had the burger here on Friday evening. One of the best burgers I have ever had. Really nice bar and really friendly staff.

04/01/2025: The view was amazing, but the food was either far too bland or far too salty (I had the mushrooms on toast with poached eggs and my partner had the poached eggs with smoked salmon - both difficult dishes that should be a safe bet.) The staff were surly and disinterested, both to deal with and when moving about the restaurant (pushing past in a rude manner us as we were trying to leave and even the occasional glare - I must point out we were very friendly and didn't cause an ounce of fuss during the meal.) Overpriced, poor food and unwelcoming atmosphere

04/01/2025: Really didn't enjoy this experience. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. That's kind of where the positives end. The staff were incredibly standoffish. We were rushed in and rushed out of the place by staff that didn't wanna be there. When our waters and coffees were dropped down, they were given with a glare from the staff. We were so polite on saying thank you for everything at every turn, just to try and get a bit of friendliness back, but were answered by silence and a glare. The food was on the pricey side and was not of a high standard. Not worth the price at all. When we were leaving the staff barrelled through us setting up tables without saying excuse me. Overall the staff created an awful environment to be in with food that didn't really make up for it.

24/09/2024: Really good food in a warm pub setting: the breaded hake I ordered was perhaps the best plate of fish and chips I’ve had in Ireland and my wife loved her dish of cottage pie. Great service, great atmosphere and good prices,

24/08/2024: Arrives au hasard dans ce pub comme il pleuvait, le lieu était bondé alors nous nous sommes installés à 3 au bar. Une soupe du jour excellente et deux salades. Accueil cordial et service rapide.
