22/01/2025: Picked up a delicious coffee & pastry from the take away and went back for lunch later. Smash burger was very good and the staff were lovely.

15/01/2025: This is hands down my favorite café in Kingscourt! Their Chai Lattes are absolutely delicious, and the pastries are nothing short of exquisite – truly a treat for the taste buds. I always recommend this spot to friends and family when they visit, and it never disappoints. A must-visit for anyone in the area!

17/08/2025: Saturday 16th. Of August, arrived at the Coast Cafe there is a sign just inside the door “PLEASE WAIT TO BE SEATED” I’d be still waiting if I had not found a table myself which wasn’t even wiped clean, two waitresses sitting down at one of the tables having food, a beef burger was ordered, when it arrived we discovered it was half raw some of it was red, totally disgusting, very bad since it was taken over, won’t be going there again.🤬

23/07/2025: Coming here every year and this experience was very disappointing. 5 of us arrived for breakfast before 12. The waitress came to take our order at 12.04 and said breakfast was over. Not good enough as we were there before 12. We watched the table beside us receive their breakfast, who arrived at the same time as us. Very disappointing as we said to the waitress when we arrived we were there for breakfast. My daughter asked for soup and was told it was not ready yet. We then waited 20 mins for toasted sandwich's. 😞

15/07/2025: What a random, fantastic find! In the middle of Longford County sits the most delicious Italian restaurant. Fresh and yummy. The desserts were also incredible. Lovely staff & a clean restaurant. It was so good the first night, we went back the 2nd night. Bummed we couldn't have gone back another evening!

01/07/2025: Stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday in a dull, dreary wet Longford. Got a spaghetti bolognaise. Wow! Straight out of Italy. Absolutely delicious. With food as tasty as this who really cares about the bad weather outside. Nice touch, the little bowl of parmesan cheese before hand. May you always continue to cook and serve this genuine authentic taste of Italy. Longford is definitely lucky to have such an eatery. Will be back! Catherine

13/09/2025: Wish I had taken a photo but I was so hungry as a lot of restaurants were booked solid this evening. We were deterred by the terrible reviews but were we ever pleasantly surprised. The service was fast and the meal was hot and delicious. I had the slow cooked beef and it was tasty, the meat fell apart, and the gravy was decadent without being too salty. Overall, we were a table of 3 and everyone was extremely satisfied.

05/07/2025: Stopped here on the way back from a swim/sauna at Ballinskelligs, it was raining and quite late out. We were here in holiday and we stupidly ordered without checking we had cash with us! The owners were so good and said we could just drop the money down the next day, but as we were leaving in the morning they said we could leave with the local shop for them. So of course that's what we did! Regarding the food itself (eaten piping hot in our campervan), portions were generous and the fish was so fresh, with a lovely light batter. Chips were good and the curry sauce was delicious! All in all, a great meal, thoroughly recommend!! Thank you again for your kindness to these two eejits!
