02/08/2024: I have been burning candles for years & by far the Max Benjamin's candles are the nicest.. They burn down evenly & the fact this is an Irish company is just the icing on the cake..
I bought the Mimosa and Sweet Amber from the old fragrances & it was beyond beautiful.. Unfortunately, it's now discontinued 😌
12/05/2024: Very nice scent.
However, had to pour liquid into an empty diffuser bottle with wide-angled reeds to get the desired effect. Now, it works perfectly!
Unfortunately, the new bottle/design with the reeds standing almost upright, doesn’t work for me.

01/10/2023: Friday night takeaway I ordered from the new Indian restaurant in town. We got a vindaloo, a tikka masala, and two garlic naan breads. The price was reasonable, and the food was tasty. The naan breads were a bit small, it would be great if they could look to increase there size. Rather then getting a takeaway I would recommend people eat inside the restaurant as it is decorated so tastyfully and stylish inside

24/01/2025: A special farewell dinner for our German exchange student. We were not disappointed! Beautiful setting, fabulous friendly staff and a beautiful meal. 😍
18/01/2025: Food has gone down hill, used to love going here but the last few times food has not been nice, mash potatoes tasted like they had been made days before, peppers in sandwiches tasted like frozen ones and not fresh, over priced on some menu items for what you get. My daughters also agreed that the food is not the same anymore, unfortunate as this was our favourite place to eat out. Staff are always nice and place is clean.

04/01/2025: Tuvimos familia de Inglaterra para Navidad y nos pidieron que fuéramos aquí ya que los habíamos traído en junio y les encantó la comida.
Reservamos una mesa para 9 personas. Seis adultos y tres niños.
La comida no decepcionó. El personal era tan atento y genial con los niños teniendo mucha paciencia esperando a que pidan y haciendo ajustes a las comidas a su medida.
Nos lo pasamos genial y nos fuimos con bolsas de perrito ya que estábamos tan llenos que no pudimos terminar todo.
La comida era deliciosa y el ambiente y el personal eran geniales.
04/12/2024: La comida sabía horrible, entré aquí para una comida para llevar alrededor de las 6 de la tarde la comida no era fresca, tan pronto como lo pedí me lo entregaron muy rápido Lo llegué a casa las patatas fritas estaban duras El arroz era asqueroso Nunca volveré

22/07/2023: SHOCKING!!! I've had microwave packs that tasted better!
Ordered Chana Chicken- chicken was at least a day old,didn't taste of anything, chickpeas tinned, still crunchy probably just out of the tin there and then. Sauce was watery a.f. , no trace of veggies
Jalfrezi - no trace of turmeric or ginger or not even onions or pepper. Just some curry powder and a lot of chilli powder in it.
Basmati rice, had better uncle Ben's packs.
No music whatsoever.
The waiter has to turn the light on in the toilets for you if you need to use them. No surprise there as it's completely empty and probably have to keep the costs down
Avoid at all costs!

The Black Cat, Glengarriff
06/08/2024: If you love milkshakes, and you are in the area, then this secret spot is the place to be. You won't find a better milkshake (thick shake) anywhere else. We've been going there for many years now. And every time we're near, we simply have to get a milkshake. Of course the fish and chips are great as well. Can't wait to come back on our next holiday.
