01/10/2024: On route from killarney needed a pit stop chose gort at random we had a dog so while walking him came on roosters cafe got a takeaway of coffee and tuna bap the cafe is lovely staff so pleasant and food of high quality and good portions would recommend this cafe without hesitation will make gort our stop off point from now on

20/12/2024: Did Christmas market great people big covered space for use by patrons for family or corporate events. Community support is great and live music always a big bonus. The Owner and staff are so welcoming could not do enough for people and great atmosphere at end night when you fancy a night out in comfort with your friends..enjoy..

09/08/2024: We went as a family of 12..From 2 y old ( they have high chairs) to 65 y old. The setting overlooking the double links course with floor to ceiling windows was stunning. The service was first class. We ordered 6 different meals and every plate was emptied! VERY reasonably priced it it suitable for locals/golfers and passing tourists! I had worse Michelin star meals in London basements! Drop of at the front door.. lift.. and stunning balcony for a smoke! Please support it!

03/05/2025: Overall nice hotel. Clean and overall comfortable. Great ocean views with a deck The bed was a tad uncomfortable - similar to a really poor Hampton Inn. The restaurant food and service - consistent with other reviews - was average for dinner and breakfast. We would return to the hotel. Tip: Rent electric bikes on the island and use the Green Route. Amazing views - breathtaking - seals - and beautiful stone walls.

27/04/2025: We booked a table for two for Saturday 19th April having reviewed the online menu, particularly in relation to the vegetarian options. On arrival, the menu put in front of us bore no resemblance to the online menu. We ordered the only veggie option: speghetti vegetable and tomato sauce, which on eating was more water based that tomato sauce. We did raise this with the waitress and again at reception on leaving, in relation to how disappointed we were. We have never posted reviews but couldn’t let this one go. Vegetarians, stay away from here.
