Bridge Street Fast Food
Westport
15/08/2024: Garlic bread as a starter: cheese supplement: €1.
I take without cheese.
"But are you sure? Because it's really dry without cheese...
- I'm not a fan of cheese.
- What if he's really not strong? Because it's really dry without..."
In short, I took without. But damn, it was dry because there was no seasoning in the accompanying salad! A vinaigrette? Or is just oil too much to ask for?
I had a dish afterwards. I waited for someone to come and clear me up to find out about the desserts... No one came in 10 minutes!
I left.
20/07/2024: Great food great staff clean toilets !

Pizza
Kinsale
01/11/2023: Over all I would never go to this place again. The pizza is nice enough but still not the best. We had a big order they forgot 50% of the order , we ordered some meals with drinks and they didn’t come with chips or the drinks that we paid for and claimed to be in the meals. We ordered 2 burgers and they were burnt . When we went to pick up the order there was smoke all over the place we could smell the burnt burgers . The chips that we got were cold. I would never go here again.
01/11/2023: i would never order from this place again. we had a large order and they forgot multiple things on the pizzas, as well as not including several sides and drinks in which we payed extra for. additionally, the burgers and such were simply not good at all - the patties were burned to crisp, practically looking like charcoal. actually, when we had walked in there to collect our food, there was smoke filling up the room to the point that it was not even safe to breathe well in there. we were coughing like crazy, i’m just glad everyone was safe and no one was hurt. when we had arrived at the allocated time of arrival, they had told us to wait for a few minutes - this crept up to being half an hour of us standing there, since the two available tables there were taken. overall, we were not impressed - this was not acceptable, at all 🔥😡😡

Bliss
Ardee
04/09/2024: Martina at Bliss, Ardee is an amazing skilled baker and a lovely lady. She made our wedding cake and it was beyond our expectations. As we had no idea what we wanted she met us at her lovely shop to discuss over excellent coffee. She helped guide us in our choice and we left the creative design to her. We were blown away on the day when a beautifully decorated cake was personally delivered to our venue and set up to perfection. It provided a lovely end to our wedding meal and enjoyed by our guests with ( thankfully) some left for us the following day. We can't thank Martina enough for the beautiful cake, her complete professionalism and being part of our fantastic day. Thank you Martina. Jennifer & Harry
10/07/2024: €9 for a slice of cheesecake and a cup of coffee, in Ardee! You would expect to pay that sitting outside on the Champs Elysee. Avoid, stop at a filling station.
Response to owners:
At the trivial level I feel that I was caught for a sucker, I’ll get over it and it won’t break me. At the more serious level any tourist who felt that they were similarly done over in Bliss is likely to avoid any other artisan tea rooms in the whole of Ireland. So one business that works to this business model will actually spoil things for so many other similar establishments. The cheesecake and coffee were fine but not exceptional. In any similar French town we see the pâtisserie and boulangerie. These businesses are typically family run and will have been in place for decades and will be still there well into the future. So many attempts at this in Ireland are nothing more than pop-up shops that last just a few years. I feel that crucial difference is that the French do it to make a living, many Irish do it to make a killing.
