Coopers Bar & Lounge
Galway
03/06/2024: Unfortunately, the poor rating of this bar is deserved. Not what you’d expect in four star hotel.
pros:
- convenient if you’re staying at the Galmont
cons:
- ran out of bitters, a key ingredient for at least two drinks on their menu
- dirty glass and generally poor pint of Guinness

Dunleas coffee-bakery
Cork
14/02/2025: A lovely little warm cafe with smashing cakes, a good selection of sandwiches, pasties, fruit, a bit of everything really. They never ever heated anything for me without asking first. They were always welcoming and nice. We called yesterday but it was closed. Ber Kenny

GN Mulranny Park Hotel
Mulranny
21/05/2024: It's 2024 and the waterfront bar has had a bit of a face lift. It's definitely worth the visit. The style has gone more old school, wifey says it has a lodge style. I am not so sure, but I can see the antiquated style and think they may be onto a winner.
We just ordered a club sandwich to try out the menu here. And honestly I was impressed, it was filling, beautifully presented and very tasty.
The only qualms I have with the club sandwich was it is 14 euros and a side is 4 euros extra. A little expensive. While the price point is just a little high. The extra is not reasonable price if you order the salad. My side salad cost the same as soup or chips, and to be honest it's not really justifiable that price. But the chips were lovely.
On a fantastic day sitting outside is the place to be. The view is just something else. I recommend this place for a drink and a meal. They have the quality, taste and location. Well worth a visit.

River Room
19/03/2024: So disappointed with afternoon tea here over the weekend
The top tier had a few nice offerings
The scones next were not freshly made that day for sure and the worst part was the bottom tier with no sign of a sandwich??It had a tiny roll and a mini brown bread and all the fillings were paste &pureed like baby food.Teas and coffees especially were cold too. This was possibly the worst Afternoon tea I’ve ever had.
I actually feel done by with this offering for any price not mind €60.
I must say Staff was very polite and pleasant
