22/05/2025: Visiting from Canada, we stopped at the pub between our visit to the Kilfenora Cathedral, the Visitor Centre and the Doolin Caves, and we loved it. The host is wonderful, had a great chat with him. His bar is spotless, clean and has an Irish charm about it. Definitely recommend this pub, after driving around the area.

The Lighthouse Diner

24/11/2024: We got the Lighthouse to do catering in our home for a Christening and we would highly recommend Mary and co. The food was fabulous and all our guests commented on how lovely it was. There is a great choice on offer, and from ordering to delivery, the service is seamless! It was great coming back from the church and having the food all set up ready to go! We will definitely order again!
16/09/2024: Thank you Mary & Sal for the excellent service in the catering business, I have used the Lighthouse for serval occasions and have no hesitations in giving the highest compliments for the food, service and friendliness. I highly recommend their chicken curry, beef stroganoff, potato gratin and pasta dishes with meat balls and side salads.

27/06/2025: pub is basically closed for renovations. Local shop keeper told me pub hatch opens very occassionally for take aways. So don't be surprised if you come here and its closed.

24/10/2024: Always really good hit coffee, reasonably priced and very friendly service.
20/07/2024: Steaming Cups is a small coffee shop nestled into the entrance of the train station, perfectly positioned for grabbing a coffee and a pastry on the way to work or university (DCU St Pat’s is only a 15 min walk!).
The coffee is simply delicious. The barista serves up a cappuccino with a well-proportioned dusting of chocolate, complimenting the flavour of the coffee, which isn’t entirely drowned out by milk as some places do.
The lady running the shop is incredibly nice, always greeting me with a smile. It’s an awful shame they haven’t the space for customers to sit down because the atmosphere in their little corner is lovely and welcoming.

Rococo Coffee

06/12/2024: I cannot say enough about their coffee. I go in every morning with my son on the way to school my my morning coffee and his hot chocolate or baby chino (depending what he's in the mood for) and it's always great. The girls are really friendly also.

27/08/2025: The woman who makes the sandwiches is super unfriendly. The price tags posted are a scam, but when they charge you much more, they charge you much more.
I don't recommend it at all.
