09/10/2026: Super gorgeous garden setting, yummy food, and friendly staff in a charming village!

27/09/2026: ​Monk’s Lane is easily my favourite place to eat. The food is consistently good, using fresh local produce, and the drinks list is excellent. Between the relaxed atmosphere, the lovely garden out back, and the genuinely welcoming team, it always makes for a great evening out.

20/10/2026: Grilled Hake dish was exceptional. The bread was the best we've run across. Everyone liked their meal so well they didn't share, so I think that tells you how it was. Very popular/busy, a bit loud, definitely need a reservation. Looking forward to returning on our next trip to Kinsale.

18/10/2026: The oysters were amazing! Lamb and short ribs delicious. Service delightful. Value on point. Highly recommend.

11/10/2026: Went with a group of 6. Food was very very good. Small restaurant, so I would book in advance. A nice selection of whiskeys (could/should be more due to its proximity to the nearby distillery). I thought it would be a lot more expensive than it was.

09/10/2026: My favourite place to eat in midleton. They always have your dinner nicely presented and I always leave full. All the staff are great, very friendly, helpful and would do anything for you while your with them. Keep up the good work guys 👍

30/07/2026: Oh my goodness this place is so neat! Just imagine this: a perfect cozy inn nestled in a picturesque Irish village with the best desserts! The staff were so kind and very attentive! We both stayed at the inn and had lunch and dinner there! The rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable - even my son, Gene, got a great night’s sleep, and let’s just say he’s “a little” particular about his sleeping set up (HAH! 🤣). No complaints from anyone in our family! I’d definitely recommend staying in the inn if you can, but the restaurant is a MUST!! The food was a delight! My kiddo, Louise, got the quiche of the day for lunch - it was salami and goat cheese and she said she loved it! And they gave her a huge piece - it was like a fifth of a big quiche! My hubby got the sandwich and he said it was as good if not better than one of mine - and that’s a high bar to clear (if I do say so myself 😉). The main food was all delightful, but if you only have room for one bite, get dessert first. OH. MY. GAWD. the desserts are D-I-V-I-N-E: DIVINE 🤩. My daughter, Tina, scoped it out before ordering lunch and came back and told us she ordered dessert already. I started to ask if she was joking when the wait staff brought over not one, not two, but THREE AMAZING desserts: I guess my teeny Tina couldn’t wait and got the coffee square, the tiramisu, and the carrot cake. My hubby LOVES carrot cake, but it had walnuts in it so I had to personally abstain for allergy reasons, but he is STILL raving about it, and let’s just say he’s hard to impress (HAH! 🤣). Seriously, though, these desserts were AMAZING! The tiramisu was PERFECT! It was just sweet enough with excellent coffee flavor. I mean, heck, there was enough espresso in there I felt like I hadn’t even drunken my margarita after! Oh, it was SO good! This momma bear 🐻 LOOOVES tiramisu, but I’ve got to admit, the coffee square was my favorite! The cake was moist and baked perfectly. And, oh, the icing! It was very sweet, but momma’s got a sweet tooth! It was caramelly and perfect. It was so good I got a second piece to go for a midnight snack! Ugh, I’m going to miss those desserts. I have GOT to shout out the baker behind the magic: Breda! We asked and she works there and found out she makes all of these slices of heaven routinely. Breda, you go girl! You’ve got one (excuse my language 🤭) HECK of a talent 🫶🤩!

25/06/2026: One of the best fish and chips I've had with great seating and a beautiful view. Staff are friendly and the desserts are incredible

18/10/2026: Our best meal in Ireland and we have been in Dublin, Galway, Clifden and Dingle. We had the Kerry Coppa, Winter Salad, Braised Cabbage, Cod with Peppers, Roasted Squash and the Smoked Potatoes. All of the dishes were prepared to perfection with exceptional ingredients. Nice wine selection and very friendly hospitality. Can’t say enough!

09/10/2026: Had a lovely dinner in St Francis Provisions. Food and wine was delicious and service was fantastic, all staff were warm, relaxed and attentive. Lovely chilled atmosphere as well. Would highly recommend.

09/10/2026: The food delivery option is really excellent. I am at home sick and was able to send myself my own care package of yummy warming flavours and treats. Everything was so carefully wrapped too. It really did feel like opening a care package!

03/09/2026: The lovliest cosiest place ever. Great customer service, beautiful books, delicious food. Was very grateful to have found a vegan place in west cork, and one that’s so good! I had the sandwich and the blueberry cake. Would come back to Skibbereen purely to come here again.

06/10/2026: This place has earned their stars! Food was excellent, fresh and real. Awesome to see a family making it work together. The Thai Curry was better than pretty much any Thai restaurant that I've experienced in Southern California, and I have tried a lot.
