19/11/2025: Right, so Man Friday—absolute gem. Walked in and it felt like stepping into a cosy coastal hideaway, all soft lighting and that old-school charm. I kicked off with huge juicy oysters, followed by scampi that was golden, crisp, and downright addictive. The back sole? Melt-in-your-mouth magic. And fair play to the staff—Natalie had the whole thing running like clockwork, no fuss, just good vibes. €96 well spent, no regrets. If you’re in Kinsale and not eating here, you’re missing a trick.

13/12/2025: A fantastic experience from start to finish! Wonderful food, and excellent staff. It achieves something I rarely find these days, which is the ability to be in a very popular establishment which hosts a large variety of groups/ guests simultaneously but you feel as though you have your own space to enjoy your gathering privately - it was cosy, beautifully decorated for the festive season, and the staff were most obliging in arranging a little birthday surprise and song too - if you haven't been you should go! You won't be disappointed.

22/12/2025: Their coffee is truly unlike any other I’ve had in Ireland. I ordered the Ko Yao Yai, with subtle citrus notes, incredibly aromatic and such a pleasure to drink.

19/12/2025: Ordered online some small amount of goods — they were carefully wrapped and arrived swiftly, with care and warming message and a teabag, really well professionally packed, and the selection & variety of goods is impressive, this is what we need more on earth!

15/12/2025: Ordered a christmas present from them a week ago, one of their nice hammered brass bottles. I got a call this week saying it's not in stock, but they have another type if required. Now I have to go back to my partner and tell them they were getting this present (they mentioned that they loved it) and now it needs to be a different type. Not happy with the service.

16/11/2025: This is a gem worth travelling to. Excellent food. We had perfectly done chicken wings in the mouth watering house hot sauce, crispy pork belly in asian slaw, and breaded cauliflower florets with garlic and truffle mayo to start, then spectacular beef cheecks, mash, broccoli with wild mushroom sauce, and pappardelle squash basil sauce with parmesan. For desert a 'Wild' mess with a "unicorn tears" berry compote with fresh strawberries, and a decadent belgian chocolate hot sweet treat served with vanilla ice cream. We left more than satisfied. Well done and keep it up! Thank you.

10/08/2025: 5 staff behind the bar more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. Then when we did get attention, they were extremely rude....certainly won't be back for the service

13/07/2025: I dunno what the heck is wrong with this place. I'm new to Cork, Clonakilty and Ireland in general and was denied entry simply because I was alone. Although I've never been in.... I'll certainly never be back. Head to GG's instead! These guys are funny as hell saying they were closing at 21:00. Lots of lads had said the "security" staff packing roofies. Didn't believe it until that night.

29/11/2025: Had the most amazing family dinner here lastnight and I had to share the experience! We were a table of 8 people, some had starts and dessert, all had mains ! Everything was amazing, the service was brilliant , super friends and welcoming staff ! Service was perfectly timed that it wasn't too long or too quick for food either ! The flavours were out of the world! Even the mushroom soup which wouldn't be a first pick for me was insane! Will definitely be back again!

28/11/2025: I can’t recommend Ferrit & lee enough! The feather blade beef was amazing, roast potatoes 10/10 & vegetables cooked to perfection. The chocolate moose desert was delicious. We had a lovely table for 4, tucked in a small nook, nice & cosy! The staff were really attentive & polite. I’ll definitely be returning!

07/12/2025: A cold wet and windy evening in Ballycotton, this is the closest pub to the pier, where water rages and crashed over the breaker onto the pier and street, the perfect experience, pre-pints. The bar was warm as was the welcome. I was looking for a pint of local Beamish or Murphys, but was willing to settle for my favourite pint, Guinness.

02/11/2025: They squeezed us in today after we did a long wet hike in Shehy Highlands - It was recommended by a local lady we met in a garage and it turned out to be the perfect spot. Warm cosy and lovely smell of food as soon as we walked in. Lovely staff, good menu and fairly priced. I had the prawn black ink pasta- delicious! My sisters all really enjoyed their food and we will be back.

20/11/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at Mai Fitz in Lissarda recently for a family dinner, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. As a family of four, we were looking for a welcoming atmosphere, and Mai Fitz delivered on all fronts, exceeding our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the service was truly exceptional. The staff were attentive, incredibly friendly, and brilliant with the children—making us feel genuinely valued and looked after throughout the meal. The food was the absolute star of the show. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The main courses were hearty and delicious, and the desserts were a fantastic finish. This is proper, comforting, and high-quality pub dining at its best. If you're looking for great food and even better service in a lovely setting, Mai Fitz is the place to go. We'll definitely be back soon!

11/12/2025: What a fab spot for food, pints and music! The sandwiches were out of this world and the pizza was next level! And then we saw a gig out the back and it was terrific! Great sound and fun atmosphere. All the staff were so helpful too.
