09/01/2026: Our favourite wine bar worldwide. Having sampled wine bars on five continents it’s always a pleasure to return to Kinsale and experience The Black Pig. One of the longest wine lists I have ever seen and caters for all tastes and budgets. Make sure you book as there may not be room if you pop in on chance, but they will always try and fit you in.

23/02/2026: Love Monks Lane!! Every time we go it’s always 💯 The service, the drinks(I always get their cocktail specials.. loved the spicy margarita) the food, the decor is always fantastic.. Monks Lane is perfect for a table for two or a larger group. The menu has something for everyone and the quality of the produce is always top notch. Love them!

22/12/2025: Their coffee is truly unlike any other I’ve had in Ireland. I ordered the Ko Yao Yai, with subtle citrus notes, incredibly aromatic and such a pleasure to drink.

19/12/2025: Ordered online some small amount of goods — they were carefully wrapped and arrived swiftly, with care and warming message and a teabag, really well professionally packed, and the selection & variety of goods is impressive, this is what we need more on earth!

15/12/2025: Ordered a christmas present from them a week ago, one of their nice hammered brass bottles. I got a call this week saying it's not in stock, but they have another type if required. Now I have to go back to my partner and tell them they were getting this present (they mentioned that they loved it) and now it needs to be a different type. Not happy with the service.

24/02/2026: Been here a few times before and it was lovely. This time though I just stopped to get some chips. There were two people ahead of me when I was ordering. Unfortunately, this time the chips were bland and crunchy. And the wait time seemed much longer than was necessary for some chips! Also, €4 for a small chips was way too expensive!

13/03/2026: Honestly, my local colleagues and friends were absolutely right — this might just be the best brunch in Cork. I had the Turkish Eggs Flatbread (full plate) with halloumi and chorizo, plus a regular mocha, and it was brilliant. The eggs were perfectly cooked with that lovely jammy centre, sitting on creamy yoghurt and topped with beautifully grilled halloumi and rich, flavourful chorizo. It was incredibly satisfying. The whole plate looked gorgeous too — such great colours. I also really enjoyed the little salad on the side, especially the pickled onions and the fresh greens (watercress maybe?). But the biggest surprise for me was actually the flatbread underneath — unbelievably soft and fluffy, perfect for soaking up all those amazing flavours. Absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re in Cork and fancy a proper brunch. 😊

05/03/2026: This place was the highlight of my Irish experience. It was recommend to us by the instagram influencer gods themselves. While I’m not religious, I did hear the voice that day as I bit into the breakfast burger. The poached eggs busted upon the sausage patties, and so did I when the jalapeño jam hit my tastebuds. The delectable combination of spicy and sweet was unlike anything I had ever experienced in my mouth. Insane work. Unreal. Have been dreaming about the burger since I finished. A man or America could never. Special shoutout to the workers. Who not only blessed our hearts with their kindness, friendliness and hospitality, but also our eyes. Until we meet again, magical kinsale breakfast burger. Slainté.

27/03/2026: A brilliant place to visit if you're in Clon. Good selection of drinks and lovely atmosphere, loads of memorabilia and pictures on the walls that'll keep your eyes wandering for hours. Try and catch a trad show if you're in town!

09/02/2026: Food absolutely beautiful. Staff friendly too. Well worth visiting if in Ballycotton. On a lovely day its a stunning place to visit and The Salty Dog is an ideal place to have good quality food with friendly service.

13/03/2026: Just a wonderful, “proper” pub in the lovely port town of Cobh. Went in for one drink, stayed for lots. The owner was so welcoming and the crowd so lively just didn’t want to leave. Fulfilled my image of a great Irish pub.

26/02/2026: Listen it's good so I can't fault it but god damn just sell the burger labelled as something else. I can't pick it up and eat it, it's basically just a dish on the plate in the shape of a burger due to it's sheer vertical height 😭

22/03/2026: Small but cozy little spot for fish and chips! The cod was crispy and fresh and the chips were tasty as well! The service was very friendly too. My parents enjoyed their first fish and chips in England 🙂

20/03/2026: My cousin and I are on a road trip around Ireland. Our B&B host recommended this joint & it wins hands down. Even though the place was packed , tables were turned around quickly, staff were lovely & very attentive. Before I had my second sip of my beer, our meals were out - delicious and massive at a great price. Customer service was amazing & bar staff were pretty good looking. You know your in a good place when it's packed with the locals. Highly recommend!! Alyce 🇦🇺🦘
