The best restaurants in Cork

26/01/2025: This review is a couple of months late, with my apologies. We enjoyed a spectacular meal in November 2024 and I had wanted to say thank you so much. The pumpkin & parmesan croquettes were life-changing... the gnocchi sublime. The thing that made it perfect though was the service which was warm, enthusiastic and professional. Our server was unflappable even when the table next to us set their napkin on fire, and seemed completely uninterested in putting it out. We got an awful fit of the giggles but she was serenity itself as she saved the day. I would come back to Kinsale just to visit The Black Pig. The food was truly the best meal I've had in 10 years, maybe more - every dish perfection. The prices are a steal compared to the highway robbery that's taken over Dublin with largely boring, poorly executed food.

27/12/2024: Delicious mixed cuisine, great service and a feast for the eyes with the local artwork. Fergus is a treat to chat with as are his lovely staff, Clare & Thomas as well as the Barry Keoghan lookalike. Treat yourselves to this village 'bohemia'.

06/02/2025: Literally the first pub i walked in to after getting off the plane, and they had a guy playing country music! (And some Oasis & others). Tried a great new beer too, "Beamish". Think I'm gonna like it here.

01/02/2025: Just one more beautiful restaurant in west Cork. Did not have booking when we arrived. Place was buzzing beautiful building staff excellent. Seem to be enjoying their work a rare sight these days.food was excellent good menu lots to offer. Would definitely advise a visit if ur in the area.

29/01/2025: Great health food shop. LOTS of choice. Refill station, so you avoid packaging waste. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. I am a regular shopper here.

19/01/2025: We ate here on a winter Saturday night. It was so cosy and the atmosphere was lovely. We both had a steak sandwich which was the best steak sandwich I’ve ever had! Apple crumble was delicious also! Service was brilliant. Will be back again 😊

16/01/2025: I journey to Cork monthly, on return to Kerry I stop at Mia Fitz's. Superb food, consistent prices and the staff are friendly.

28/01/2025: A very unique gem in the heart of Middleton,serving a wonderful blend of eastern delights . We were served by the owner Abdullah with the upmost respect and a fantastic sense of humour. The food! Well you will just have to come here to enjoy the palatal pleasures of the east. We don't normally go back to a restaurant twice in one week but this food is addictive. Will definitely return.

27/09/2024: The cakes were excellent, and the tea comes in proper china cups. Elvis was playing quietly on a proper record player. Superb!

17/01/2025: It was our first time visiting Cork and weren’t sure where to eat but so glad we came across Cornerstone. Amazing pizza and taco chips. The pizza was cheesy and well seasoned and so were the taco chips. Such good quality food and quite affordable. Will definitely be coming back again :)
