31/10/2025: The Grattan Bar in Waterford is an absolute gem. The food was fantastic — full of flavour and had that real home-cooked feeling you rarely find these days. The service was excellent, and we were served by the lovely couple who own the place — they couldn’t have been friendlier or more welcoming. They were also incredibly accommodating, even allowing us to bring our dog inside for dinner in a separate room — something that’s very hard to find. And the Guinness — absolutely top class! Creamy, smooth, and without that bitter aftertaste you get in many other bars. One of the nicest pints I’ve had in Ireland. Overall, one of the best spots for bar food and a proper pint — warm atmosphere, amazing hosts, and delicious food. Highly recommended!

25/10/2025: Ordered the beef cheek and the chicken curry dish, no words, simply mouth watering.👌 And of course, deserts put a smile on my face. Ordered the Creme brulee and the Panna Cotta. The cream brulee was so good that İ was considering ordering again, but too bad İ'm on a diet. As for the Panna Cotta, there is room for improvement, as it was a bit too sour. Staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. A very good dining experience overall.

19/11/2025: Right, so Man Friday—absolute gem. Walked in and it felt like stepping into a cosy coastal hideaway, all soft lighting and that old-school charm. I kicked off with huge juicy oysters, followed by scampi that was golden, crisp, and downright addictive. The back sole? Melt-in-your-mouth magic. And fair play to the staff—Natalie had the whole thing running like clockwork, no fuss, just good vibes. €96 well spent, no regrets. If you’re in Kinsale and not eating here, you’re missing a trick.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special night out.

15/11/2025: Fabulous food from a local favorite. Lovely interior yet comfortable. Family run and friendly. The lamb and beef were beautifully spiced with great vegetables. Charming potato sides. Vegetable soup was delicate and rich. Priced well for the quality of food and experience. Looks so normal from the outside! Parking is in an old structure across the street.

21/10/2025: Had the most wonderful meal in Vendricks last Sunday night. Shared 4 tapas, one main and a side dish between two of us. Every dish was sublime, the portions were ample and the service was wonderful. Would HIGHLY recommend and will certainly be back next time we are fortunate enough to be in Killarney.

20/11/2025: I should have written this review before. Daniel's is a charming little place with well cooked delicious food. The owner will happily chat with customers about food, wine and his travels. They have some great menu items and some very interesting crockery from Daniel's trips to Africa. Of particular note is the set menu which offers great value for money. If you haven't been don't hesitate just book it: you will be glad you did. Thanks again to Daniel and staff

29/11/2025: This is an incredible spot. Exactly what it should be. Our family’s favorite hotel of the trip. It starts with the friendly people who greet your car and never stops. Falconry and skeet shooting were great.

25/11/2025: We were walking around the castle enjoying the beautiful decorations, but the moment we entered the restaurant the whole experience became even better. From the very first second everything felt special, thanks to the warm, human and highly professional service. Denis, Eric, Lucy, Timy… I could name many more. The cocktail “The Emperor” was exactly the kind of ending you’d wish for on a perfect night. ✨
