30/03/2026: We went to this restaurant for dinner as it was closer to our hotel. It ended up being one of the most memorable night in Ireland, or actually, ever. We've never been treated like a long lost family from total strangers. Melisa, his wife Martha, and the son, Christian were unbelievable people. If this is the Irish spirits then wow, count me in! Melissa was so warm, chatty, friendly to go along with fantastic food!! He came to sit and chatted for a bit. As good as the food and drinks were, the hospitality and the way they make you feel is 10x better! If you ever come near Waterford, you must come visit the Grattans, and hang out with your new found family!! We even got a pic behind the bar with them. We'll be back for sure! If I could give 10 stars for service and friendliness, I would.

10/04/2026: Went twice here over Easter. Both a party of 8 adults. The service was excellent, quick and attentive and no mistakes. The Food was outstanding. Everything was fresh and plentiful. Even fresh chips, no frozen chips here. Not a thing was out of place. The prices were on the mark. No expensive. Would highly recommend, but book to make sure.

21/04/2026: we had a fantastic lunch on a saturday at BANG. Food was absolutely amazing, the wine list is very well curated and the service is attentive and on point. Highly recommend.

19/04/2026: We had a family celebration of 37 people. A fab evening, super service by Virginia and Dom. wonderful food in family sharing which resulted in lots of chat and fun. A really wonderful venue, great atmosphere, fab food and highly efficient and responsive service. I would highly recommend.

09/01/2026: Our favourite wine bar worldwide. Having sampled wine bars on five continents it’s always a pleasure to return to Kinsale and experience The Black Pig. One of the longest wine lists I have ever seen and caters for all tastes and budgets. Make sure you book as there may not be room if you pop in on chance, but they will always try and fit you in.

04/05/2026: Very tasty food, good size portions in reasonable price. Nice selection of menu and specials of the day. Helpful and friendly staff. We've been here couple times. Over the weekend is busy, so recommend reservation (but it's not necessary). Possible to park on the street parking.

11/04/2026: Had an absolutely gorgeous meal here. It was very last minute as we were staying round the corner and needed somewhere to eat, quite late, but what a little gem this place is. We were greeted and served by Phil, he was warm, welcoming, friendly and really attentive. The short rib beef was incredible! Definitely worth a visit! 09/04/2026: Terrific little place. Food was absolutely spot on. Presentation, flavour, utterly flawless. Service was great, friendly and professional without being pretentious or overly fussy. It's quite a small place with a couple of bigger groups dining when we arrived. This added to the ambience but didn't detract from us having a cosy intimate meal. Great selection from the menu, wine list is simple and Considered. Highly recommend dining here if you're staying locally.

02/04/2026: Daniels is an absolutely world class! The scallops in the cream sauce and the lobster bisque are a must get. Plus getting to talk to the chef himself about his travels and extensive wine knowledge is a treat.

02/04/2026: Amazing food and amazing chef! I really enjoyed all the dishes we had, especially knowing how personal the food and wine menu is for Daniel. My personal favorite is the scallops which is INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS!

14/04/2026: Sat next to the fire, had a local beer and the roast of the day : pork loin with dressing, mashed and vegetables. Take the very SHORT detour off the Ring of Kerry for this place, you will be glad you did.
