06/05/2026: Lovely food upmarket experience winter for launch on bank holiday Monday, no problem getting the table no booking, handy pay , lovely staff, car parking opposite the queen's pub a few minutes walk away

02/05/2026: Didn’t have any huge expectations going in, the signage is a little outdated as is the menu design itself. However inside the place is modern but cosy with a nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly throughout and service was prompt despite being quite busy. The food itself was very very good. The batter on both the fish and chips and scampi was crisp but not too thick and heavy and the fish itself was cooked perfectly. The mushy peas and tartare sauce are both perfect. A must eat restaurant in Dalkey, especially for fish

03/11/2025: We had the Chef’s Menu at Craft and it was absolutely outstanding – incredible value at €39 for the quality and amount of food. You get to taste everything, and honestly, we couldn’t pick a favourite starter because they were all so good. We had the pork chop main - so good and as always the roast potatoes were unreal! From the brown bread right through to dessert, every dish was delicious. We’re so lucky to have this place in Harold’s Cross – can’t recommend it enough! The service deserves a mention too - really lovely atmosphere. Well done to all at Craft. We will be back soon.

12/06/2026: The only possible place to have food within miles but refuses to open the door and even talk to you (11 am). Owner sees you but tells staff to ignore you. Couldn’t be more inhospitable and rude to strangers. Avoid this place.

28/10/2025: Food is tasty and the staff are nice but service was extremely slow. After being shown to a table we waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken, we had to flag down a staff member to ask if we could order, then we waited over 40 minutes for our food.

27/10/2025: I had a lovely meal at Bari today — great value, delicious food that came out quickly, and amazing service. The café was absolutely packed (bank holiday chaos!), but all the staff were still so friendly, attentive, and smiling the whole time. I even noticed the chef working away on her own in the kitchen — she absolutely smashed it! Really impressed all round.

27/05/2026: The hotel was very clean, staff were very welcoming in the hotel reception lobby, bar and restaurant. Cleaning staff in hotel room also verry good, if you needed anything reception did help very quickly, I forgot to bring a shower cap with me, there was none in the room, however when I phoned reception I had a shower cap delivered within 10 mins, great service, thank you

27/05/2026: Good food. Amazed by how good the breakfast was. The dinner prices are pricey but if you can afford it, you should come here. It is a bit further away from town though. And you have to ask to access the gym. Apart from that, it is 99% good.

12/06/2026: A real hidden gem. Small menu which is great. Food is outstanding including gluten free options. Great location, easy parking and wheelchair accessible. If you’re in wedt cork then this place is a treat.

31/05/2026: Stopped here for lunch and was really impressed. I had the beef pastrami sandwich on sliced bread (without the horseradish), and my mum had the Ploughman’s on gluten free bread. Both sandwiches were delicious, made with good quality ingredients and the portions were generous. The total came to €28 for 2 sandwiches and 2 bottles of sparkling water, which is on the pricier side, but the quality of the food and the portion sizes made it well worth it in my opinion. Would happily return.

21/05/2026: The hotel is a wonderful place, historic. The food they offer is really good. So far the good things. I asked for a room with sea view and got the information that it will have view. Well. See a picture from my window. I didn't mean that! The rooms are expectable old. Nothing to complain here. But there is no sound isolation. We were able to here everything from the next room. TV, water tap, shower, toilet. Regarding the service. There were three women in service two younger ones, who walk through the restaurant looking to the ground, barely seeing guests contact wishes for drinks or coffee in the morning. The 3rd women, a stronger one, was amazing. She definitely loves her job. It was fun talking with her and getting her recommendations for the order was Gold. Sorry for this review.

14/05/2026: We stayed two nights as a family. The hotel is superb, retaining its original charm, with very large, comfortable, and clean rooms. The restaurant is the only one open and offers good quality food. The staff is friendly. We highly recommend it.

29/04/2026: Very good. At first we were looking for anything still open (as it was a bit late). But we were surprised. The lamb was tender and juicy and the rice was also flavored and well cooked. Of course it is not a fancy restaurant. It is a small restaurant looking like a cantine but it is simple and "down to earth" Portions are generous. We will come back again for sure.

01/11/2025: Firstly, a huge thank you to Brendan. My return from last year for 3 wonderful nights and plan to return next year. Supremely clean and comfortable rooms. A cozy traditional pub lies below rooms. A few minute walk into Midelton town centre. A 3 minute walk to train station which will have you into Cork City Centre in 22 minutes. Thanks to a terrific staff and the friendly locals who frequent this gem of a pub.

02/04/2026: The staff were incredibly friendly and very attentive to my food allergy, ensuring I had a safe and delicious meal. After our wonderful dinner we were kindly invited to move to a table by the fireplace to enjoy some drinks. We had a fantastic evening and would highly recommend this pub/restaurant.

16/03/2026: I just want to say something to people leaving reviews here. Yes, sometimes the delivery might take a bit longer than expected — it happens with many places. But please don’t destroy the rating of this place because of that. The pizza here is honestly incredible. The ingredients are fresh, the taste is amazing, and you can tell it’s made with real care. Places like this are rare. I know this spot well and every time I want to order pizza, this is the only place that comes to mind. That says a lot. Also, the staff are great — the girl at the counter is always very friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better.
