05/09/2025: I spent an exceptional evening at McLaughlin's Bar - the people, music (trad session), drinks and the venue itself were just amazing! I'll never forget it. 100% recommended! If you're in Sligo it's a MUST. It felt so authentic and I was stunned by the Irish hospitality. Thanks so much to everyone, especially to Myriam :)

10/08/2025: Visited Route Fourteen with my family for lunch. The food was great, the dining area was spacious, but I have a few points I hope can be considered to improve the service. There were two lunch menus on our visit: one standard lunch menu (same as website) and one specific for the day or week. We ordered from the second menu since they seemed seasonal and more fresh than the regular menu. The prices were similar to other gastropubs around Cork City. I ordered pork belly with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The pork was stuffed with walnuts and dates, a stuffing I would have never thought would taste so nice with pork. Other dishes we had were the "Smash Burger" and Reuben sandwich. We ordered chicken wings with buffalo sauce for starters. Everybody enjoyed their orders but the beef in the Reuben would be better if it was not heated much. For dessert we had a mango and raspberry cheesecake and lemon meringue. Both were presented nicely and tasted amazing. They are best eaten between two people as they are large desserts. We were seated at a bright high table by the window, however we were near a large private booking and I felt a bit under pressure as the staff were setting the tables around us for the arriving diners. Given that the venue was not busy when we arrived, I would have preferred sitting further away from the large group booking. I would highly recommend visiting Route Fourteen on your next day out for lunch or dinner at a gastropub.

29/10/2025: Gosh this place used to be lovely. The new interior colours scheme is Lovely but the rest terrible. You stand in a queue. The look through the breakfast and lunch menu. You make up your mind, ready to order. Then to hear "we dont serve hot food". Excuse me not even the small breakfast. No no hot food. The restaurant is too busy to serve hot food. What?!?!. Only bagels, wraps and sandwiches. We decide to go for a chicken club sandwich. Which ended up just being 2 slices of over toasted sourdough bread you could break your teeth on. Some chicken lettuce bacon and some sauce. Wine served is undrinkable and way too expensive. Table wasn't even wiped clean from previous guests. Sorry fallen from one of my one favourite places to the bottom of my list.

27/08/2025: I couldn’t recommend a better restaurant. The atmosphere was superb, along with the service. Not once did we have to call anyone over or struggle to find staff. Staff were extremely attentive and continually checked in. From starter to dessert the food was amazing. Not only does it taste good but the quality is evident throughout. The only thing I regret is sharing my food.

18/08/2025: Amazing!!! We were here three evenings ensuite. And the best was the singer today (name??) Thanx for the Guinness. Espacially the two ladies behind the bar!! Incredible!! How fast they work and at the same time so relaxed, even singing and dancing during pressing the beer. Sorry for my horrible english- greetings from Ilka and Peter from Berlin/Germany

15/08/2025: 1 of the best places in Dublin City to enjoy not just the fantastic Creamy Guinness along with other drinks. But Carla and staff go really beyond what is expected. Local people are extremely friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend this place as since in Dublin it's very difficult to find a better place.
