The best restaurants

29/09/2025: Food was well cooked, well presented and came respectably quick. Staff were attentive, even when it was busy. The benches are very straight, so maybe some would get uncomfortable after an extended period - but food, service and atmosphere are well worth a visit

16/05/2026: We read the bad reviews and we read the good reviews so we decided to go anyway. This restaurant is absolutely fantastic from the servers and their attitude to the food which was brought promptly, maybe a little too promptly, but that was not an issue. We had four different meals and they were all absolutely phenomenally good. This is definite your place to go back to. We sat on benches which unfortunately were not overly comfortable but that is not worth criticising the Restaurant for. Thank you all

11/04/2026: We came in for food over the bank holiday weekend which was pretty good. Our waitress was amazing, I think her name was Lilly, she was the only person who was professional and really excellent. Looked like there was lots of staff but only one person working. I am not sure who the manager was but they need to take a look at how they manage that bar. You cant depend on 1 person, with a bar full of people. This one waitress was doing everything at every table, madness.

18/05/2026: Great local. Big pub but always a nice atmosphere in here. Really good Guinness and sound staff. My mate spilled his pint and they gave him a fresh one on the house. The food is really nice too - haven't had the carvery yet but heard good things.

22/06/2026: Grabbed a smoked cod, chips and curry sauce after a day fishing off the pier in Wexford town. This place came recommended- but I was still blown away by the quality of food. Delicious.

12/02/2026: An amazing culinary experience. This is fine dining without being pretentious. It is a gorgeous old building which is beautifully appointed. The waiting staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want an exceptional meal while in Limerick.

01/01/2026: Definitely go for evening meal - it’s all worth the additional price! I don’t get the bad reviews. The experience was outstanding! 👏 Everything starts as soon as you come in. Had champagne while at the waiting room. Nonetheless, here’s what I had: Lobster and crab lasagna for starter - a bit salty to my taste but all the flavors I expect were there. Venison for main - well executed with the blend of parsnip and blackberry sauce Salted caramel tart for dessert - it’s good, flavors weren’t that overwhelming so you can taste all the components to it.

13/12/2025: Amazing food 5 of us ate and everyone was more than happy. Steak was so tasty and cooked to perfection the mushroom was unbelievable onky thing I would improve on was the chips. Some way too crunchy but overall delicious. Staff are very friendly was a lovely lunch. Will be back.

05/05/2026: Waited at the counter to ask for a take away coffee, the first person I met said okay then continued on with her work and never came back, second person who asked if I was okay then said “I don’t have time for that, we’re too busy”. There were empty tables inside and plenty people behind the counter. Poor reception to be greeted with for a visitor to the area.

29/04/2026: An absolute gem of spot, was recommended to us by a local and by God he was on the ball, staff were bubbly and up for the crsic, service was clean and prompt. Outside seating in gorgeous weather. Workmans breakfast was spot on, perfect portion size and fabulous. Definitely will return

29/04/2026: Absolutely disgusting price for food. This was the cost for 2 adults breakfasts. We changed out some off the options , got charged for the item change and then added on the price of each item. Absolutely unacceptable and disgraceful service.

06/04/2026: About 2/3 weeks ago me and a friend of mine were refused entry at the door by a brand new bouncer I’ve never seen before .We go to mcCormacks every other week tip the amazing bar staff always and are good friends with all the regular bouncers so came as such a shock being refused entry for absolutely 0 reasoning when questioned why his response was ‘I don’t need a reason I make the rules just not tonight’ Just such a shame that a bouncers mood can affect someone else’s whole night out my friend and I had to go elsewhere while the rest of our groups night was also disrupted as they also left Mcormacks to be with us , terribly disappointed in the bouncer selection Mcormacks went with. He was about 5”8 Irish brown hair terrible attitude.
