14/10/2025: Conveniently positioned on the outskirts of portlaoise, underground and street parking. Self service tills available. This Supervalu stocks all products including some homeware products also.

31/05/2026: I really like Tom Barry’s, the pizza is great, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. However, I have to admit that the music is often much too loud. It makes it difficult to have a conversation with friends or even hear what the person next to you is saying. For a relatively small venue without a dance floor, the volume feels unnecessarily high. I believe the music would work much better as background ambience rather than dominating the space. I hope the management will consider reviewing this, as it could significantly improve the experience for customers who come to enjoy the food, drinks, and company of their friends. Overall, it’s a lovely place, and this small change would make it even better.

I see people moaning about the cost of a meal here, but let’s look at the actual math of living in Ireland in 2026. The average house price is hitting half a million Euro. The average wage is stuck around €16 an hour. If you think a chef—a skilled professional—is going to cook you a high-quality meal for pocket change when their own costs are upwards of €20–€30 per household head, you’re living in a fantasy land. The Lowdown: The Food: It’s incredible. Fresh fish, crab claws that actually taste like the ocean, and portions that don't leave you hungry. This is a family-run gem, not a factory. The Vibe: Proper traditional Irish hospitality. Cosy, warm, and authentic. The Price Tag: Expect to pay €50–€60 per person for a full experience. The Verdict: Ireland is not a cheap country. Quality costs money. If you can’t afford to pay for the talent in the kitchen and the atmosphere of a place like Sacre Coeur, you have two very simple options: Get a job that pays better. Go to McDonald’s. The Euro Saver menu exists for a reason and it suits some people just fine. But if you want a real dinner in a gorgeous village like Sneem, stop complaining and pay the price for the quality you're getting. If you don't like it, go elsewhere. For the rest of us who appreciate great food—this place is a must-visit.

23/12/2025: We stayed in a room at the front of the hotel and the noise from the cars was not great. Not the hotels fault.

20/12/2025: This is our 12th visit to Dillon’s we love it here it’s right in the centre easily accessible to everything. Staff are wonderful and warm. They do great deals on stays. Fabulous scones too 😍 delicious choice for breakfast and newly refurbished. Win win.

01/06/2026: I was in here a couple of nights ago and had a run in with someone who claimed he was the “owner”. He seemed to think it is okay to aggressively pinch young girls to excuse them from his path. When I turned around, because of the fright I got from feeling a pinch on my arm in a large crowd of people, and asked him why he did that, he took huge offence and thought the best way to resolve this was to scream in my face, shove me, and call me names while I remained calm with him, reacting like an infant would. So hereby, I would NOT recommend going to a bar where the owner pinches his customers and has the attitude of an entitled toddler. However all the staff are wonderful. I truly hope he works on his behaviour, and doesn’t pinch other young girls in the future. Very disappointed.

10/06/2026: Very disappointing experience. Less than an hour after we were seated, a member of staff came to our table at 1:08 PM and informed us that they had another reservation arriving at 1:15 PM. If the table was only available for a limited time, this should have been clearly communicated before we were seated. When we questioned this, we were told that the reservation had only just been made. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the staff, who were rude and unprofessional throughout the interaction. On top of that, the chicken in my toast sandwich did not seem fresh and had a heavy, unpleasant taste. Overall, poor service, poor communication, and disappointing food. I would not recommend this place.
