31/10/2025: Went to the Crown having been before for food and enjoyed it. This time however was not a good experience. Got a chicken burger & chips, friend got fish & chips. The burger could quite happily have a second career as a hockey puck, burnt and hard! Fish inedible, chips limp and soggy. Given we were starving and going to a concert we just sent back the fish dish. I had already cut the burnt outside off the burger.
Very disappointed.
Staff were helpful and offered to get us something else.
25/10/2025: We visited this place with a large group and had an amazing experience. It's a massive, atmospheric location with several different venues and a beautiful, colorful fireplace that creates a wonderful vibe. A special thank you to the responsive staff who even helped us take a group photo – a really nice touch!
We loved the flexibility of sitting both inside and outside. The food was delicious and arrived very quickly. The place offers a lot of events and live music, adding to the great atmosphere.
While prices are slightly above average, it's absolutely worth it. You're paying for the fantastic mood, comfort, and overall excellent experience. We can't wait to come back!

24/08/2025: A fabulous place to dine! Was in with the kids and got the chicken curry they had kids goujons and chips and kids burger everything was spot on and hadn’t had to wait long. The place was very clean also and the staff were so welcoming! I knew that they were under pressure but did such an amazing job with keeping everything under control even when there was only 2 of them working in such a busy environment. Definitely worth coming back.

02/11/2025: Where do I start… I was looking forward to getting my bbq boneless wings. 1st they had no bbq sauce which fair enough you run out. I got peri peri instead. The food came and I was shocked that i paid for only about 15 chips, there’s more food in a kids meal for half the price. The food was cold as if it was sat there for 20 minutes and how could i forget there where was no seasoning on the chips very very disappointed. Overall I was not satisfied
27/09/2025: I was quite disappointed with my recent visit to Eddie Rockets. The food did not live up to the price they charge. The fillet burger lacked crunch and had no hint of the smoky, chargrilled flavor I expected. The wings were overly tangy, without balance in the taste. The vegetarian burger was the biggest letdown—completely bland and, frankly, unacceptable for the cost. Overall, the quality didn’t justify the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The Duck
21/10/2025: I do like the Duck and the food has been really excellent every time I've eaten there this year (3 times). It has always been a great night out but now the food really lives up to the service and ambience.
I have one gripe though and that is the amount of items with a price supplement on the menu. The duck main course, which is excellent, has a €4 supplement and this makes no sense when you can buy a duck leg for €3 or less in a butchers.
16/10/2025: Went for lunch it was not overly busy. Food was very good but service left a lot to be desired.asked for portion of chips never arrived. Ordered 3 desserts 2 arrived asked 3 times for 3rd dessert it finally arrived when other 2 desserts were long finished. Pity about the service as this was our 2nd time to dine here

14/10/2025: The donuts were really good, but I think you can skip the filling, wasn't a fan of the toffee or custard. Savory pastries were good. Tons of selection.

28/10/2025: Dropped by this afternoon for a late lunch. The café has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was fresh, well-presented, and full of flavour, especially the chicken and broccoli bake. The staff were friendly and attentive.
Loved the overall setting which was calm, clean, and comfortable. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
11/10/2025: Nice coffee, good service. No hand towels in the bathroom. Good in general

Update 4 years ago i letf review "best Chinese in town" well that change drastically. Food is terrible now i dont know what happen dry hot and spicy is not even close what it use to be. I was their comming back customer every weekend, but im not anymore
