24/02/2026: The restaurant is lovely, the staff are very attentive and respectful, the food is plentiful and delicious, it's quiet, and the customers are polite people. You can confidently host your guests here. It was a very nice touch that they offered us complimentary tea at the end of the meal, and even though they didn't brew tea, it was still good.

23/02/2026: The carvery was cold and disappointing. Over all it was dry and the gravy wasn’t great.

29/10/2025: Nestled across ftom Supervalu in Tuam. Worth coming off the motorway for a good coffee. Ordered Gluten free carrot cake which was so moist and tasty. Others enjoyed different flavour of scones yum. Husband delighted with thick baked ham in toasted sandwich.

15/03/2026: Love my local restaurant where you can enjoy a very good meal at a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and attentive. However I would not say that this is the most romantic or intimate place to eat. But for going out for a nice meal with friends or your date it's great. I would reccomend this restaurant for a good meal and night out ..

26/06/2025: Popped into JB Mahoney recently and honestly, what a find. It’s got that rare mix of proper character and a genuinely warm atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. The Guinness? Spot on, creamy, smooth, poured with care. You can tell they take pride in it, which is more than you can say for a lot of places. And if you haven’t tried the Algerian, you’re missing out – bold, rich, and absolutely delicious. A proper pint to remember. The bar staff are brilliant, friendly, funny, and somehow manage to keep everything running smoothly even when it's packed. Even, the teachers chap I was speaking to inside. JB Mahoney’s strikes that perfect balance: welcoming, down-to-earth, but with real quality behind the bar. Whether you're in for a quiet one or a few rounds with mates, this place just gets it right.

31/01/2026: A real classic and super cozy pub on the road to Kinsale. The food was not terrible, but also not great. The pints were lovely though, and the staff were sound though so I'd its worth a stop.

30/01/2026: Love the pub. I always call in hear with my friends from England when we go visit a very dear friend who lives in Tower . Staff are out of this world 😊 truly lovely people ❤️

13/10/2025: Definitely don’t miss this gem of a bar. First time visiting this bar and I’ll definitely be back. Staff are so friendly and welcoming also the owner Derek is a pure gentleman. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to get back there.

20/10/2025: Got a late-night chicken burger just 5 minutes before closing, and the staff couldn’t have been more polite! The burger was absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. Definitely recommend this place!

07/09/2025: We went to Eddie Rockets for lunch. I love the food in Eddie Rockets. It's always fresh and tasty. I had kitchen Sink Nachos and a Chocolate malt Milkshake. My son had a Classic Burger and chips meal with a drink. He also got dessert which was a Donut N' Ice-Cream. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and so were the toilets. We will be back.

14/02/2026: Would be great to have a healthy option. Prawns very oily and very few. It was basically plate of onions. Bit slow but very busy.

14/10/2025: Conveniently positioned on the outskirts of portlaoise, underground and street parking. Self service tills available. This Supervalu stocks all products including some homeware products also.

18/10/2025: Huge shop since renovation great choice of provisions.... Its a pity their delivery service needs a Lot of attention waited 5 hours last week for delivery, and today also waiting 5 hours you would expect this at Christmas its beyond a joke. Be careful crossing entrance into shop vehicles think they have the right to drive out on to road while crossing the foothpath to get to the road. Complained many times.... nothing done....
