The best restaurants

02/11/2025: Great pizzas. I had the Caprino with Spinach, Carmelized onions and Goat Cheese. Yum!

19/03/2026: Very nice cafe with good service and reasonably priced. It’s quite surprisingly so being close to St James’s. I had a lovely reasonably priced breakfast and would recommend without hesitation.

26/10/2025: We had dinner at the restaurant, and it was delicious, with very generous portions. I tried the Wicklow Venison, which was delicious. The place, although small, is cozy. One nice thing I found nice was that we arrived after a hike in inappropriate clothing, and they were super friendly and attentive.

06/03/2026: I feel a bit mean giving 2 stars but we were very disappointed in the food !! The bruschetta was lovely and a generous portion. The pizza was not good. Very inauthentic. Cheese hard. Like they've used a cheaper option. It should be soft flavoursome mozarella Pepperoni very fatty tasting. But the dessert was the worst. It was a chocolate mousse. It tasted like it contained no chocolate. It was high sugar gloop. It tasted like cheap melted chocolate ice cream. Chocolate mouse is made with dark chocolate and eggs. Mill chocolate mouse is acceptable but it shouldn't taste like this! The staff member said they'd.changed their recipe..hopefully they'll change it back! On of the strangest desserts I've ever had in a restaurant. To be fair the waitress dealt with it extremely well and did not charge us for it. Good handling of a complaint is an excellent quality in a restaurant. They could easily pull up their socks and bring up their game here. But until then our experience was that there is far better Italian food elsewhere in galway.

10/03/2026: Phone stolen here along with 3 other girls in the same hour. Be so careful with your bags and keep them in front of your body. A thief went into my bag whilst it was on my side and stole it. Lots of thieveslurking by the bar.

12/10/2025: 👋, I came back with my little son from Temple Street hospital and I left autside my son and my wife ,the shop was full ,I wait for 5 min and I order a pie with means, they ask me to warm it ,the time was 10 20 am ,supposed to be warm, I pay 5.50 e I gotit and I notice that was from previous day ,i through to the birds .not again in this Shop.

03/10/2025: I stayed in the hotel for one night , the rooms are fantastic and the restaurant serves great food , they have free car parking also you can park on street outside front door, the staff are very friendly and helpful, I highly recommend this hotel, 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

07/09/2025: A nice hotel right in the heart of Letterkenny. Everyone we came across were nice, and the room was nice as well. There was enough parking while we were there, and they have an underground parking area as well.

28/10/2025: Very nice menu, food was absolutely beautiful, service was 1st class very polite very attentive. Was just passing by but will be definitely back. Nothing to fault!

29/10/2025: A very welcoming pub with good music, pool, and darts. The people were lovely, and there were lots of young people with whom we spent the afternoon playing darts.

13/10/2025: Whilst on a driving holiday around the whole of Ireland we stopped off in Donegal & what a fabulous night we had! First we ate at the Olde Castle then we crossed the road and had a great night full of Irish Craic - it was simply the best night we had!!!

14/12/2025: Service is the pits. Was sat down for 20 mins and totally ignored - no eye contact nothing. Had to ask for menus. Ok - maybe they didn't see us? But then we were still ignored another 10 mins. Place wasn't that busy for a Sunday morning. We just left in the end after 30 mins.

27/01/2026: A substantial veggie breakfast with delicious GF toast, friendly staff and it's warm on the cold day I visited, the relish served also made a welcome change from red or brown sauce and was very tasty indeed

09/12/2025: Had a lovely breakfast here - full Irish and a full veggie - portions were extremely generous and the food was very high quality. Staff were lovely and friendly - overall a very enjoyable breakfast

19/11/2025: Found this pub really great. Superb staff and staff apart from one member of staff. A younger blonde woman who was quite unhappy and rude a couple of times while serving me. Overall well worth a visit

24/05/2025: Purchased a BBQ online from Spice. BBQ was delivered to my door two days later. Great price and service from Spice. Will certainly use again.
