11/02/2025: This *used* to be a nice place, with good coffee and tasty food, although a bit on the expensive side. Now it's only expensive. I don't know what's going on, but the coffee is not what it used to be, the food is just ok. Feels like they are living from the reputation they gained before.

30/01/2025: I brought my toddler here for cake the other day. Such a cute café. She loved her gingerbread man and they even had vegan options for me. The staff were really lovely and the place was nice and clean.

20/02/2025: Only had coffee and a chocolate muffin this time. Atmosphere here is quite relaxing. Staff are helpful. Coffee and mochas good. Not expensive. Il try something savoury next time

11/01/2025: I have visited the bective tea rooms a couple of times and to say I was disappointed today would be an understatement. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the service was appalling. We were left for 15 minutes to look at the menu and when the waitress took our order she advised two options my two guests ordered were not available today. This should have been shared with us whilst being seated. The food that came was nice however ravioli portion was very small. We were looking forward to having another drink, tea coffee and dessert however when our plates were removed from the table we were not offered anything else or even asked whether everything was ok. The boredom got the better of us after waiting for another 30 minutes or more to be offered another drink etc. When paying we advised the cashier of our experience who couldn’t have been less interested, and advised us the staff were very busy today, which we found strange two waitresses were standing chatting to one another beside the cashier. An apology was not even offered, Extremely disappointing.

21/12/2024: Fabulous spot for families! Food, service and atmosphere are amazing. Little kids had a ball sotting in the pods outside. Thanks so much to the lovely, welcoming staff

28/11/2024: When we asked the locals where we should get a cup of coffee, we were directed here to Wildwood! It seems to have moved out of their original space and is now completely outdoors. There is a great vibe here and the chef clearly really cares about the food. We got the cheese toasty (a must try) and breakfast burrito. The coffee was great! Only wish the plates and cutlery weren’t single-use but we understand there are probably constraints. Thank you!

14/10/2024: Stayed for the weekend and this place is absolutely beautiful, Paul is a gentleman and would recommend here to everyone, will definitely be back

18/02/2025: Lovely food. Highly recommended. Docking 1 star as booked on bank holiday weekend... And they were clearly exhausted near the end of the day which resulted in a slightly slower service which I can forgive given the circumstances but think 4/5 is fair. Pizza done traditionally and looks amazing.

02/10/2024: Nice to spot to get food on the go. There is a variety of really nice Brazilian food some of it without wheat. There are also some tables nearby if you want to sit down and the weather is good.
