04/06/2026: Chicken and beef is halal. Also there is a lot of vegan options to choose from. The toilets could be a bit cleaner. But the atmosphere is very amazing, it’s very nicely decorated.

10/06/2026: My go to for quick and simple meal in Kanturk, every time I am back I go at least once, they have been consistent for years and never fail. My first time back with my son and he was very happy with the choice and the lovely waiter who made him feel welcome.

09/11/2025: Best breakfast and lunch by far to get in athenry. Quality is consistent you can tell the food is always fresh. Little to no wait on the food, excellent prices. Could not fault it.

12/04/2026: I got a takeaway fish and chips. Good quality, but disappointed with the portion. Not as good as it used to be. A small portion for €15.60. With a can of coke.

30/03/2026: The food here is decent, we’ve ordered a few times and usually enjoy what actually arrives. Unfortunately, they almost always miss something from the order when it’s delivered. And it’s not just small things like a drink, recently it was one persons full meal. To make matters worse, we’ve tried calling several times when items are missing and they don’t answer the phone, so there’s no way to resolve the issue or even let them know. It’s a real shame because we do like the food, but it’s frustrating not being able to rely on your full order turning up. Decent food, but the consistent mistakes and lack of communication mean we won’t be ordering again.

31/05/2026: I was there Saturday 30th of May. Very nice pub, great atmosphere. Pricy though, €9.50 for gin and tonic and €8 .50 per pint. A killer. I don't know if I will ever go back.

02/05/2026: I went to Chilli Banana today, May 2nd. Excellent food, atmosphere, service, and the friendly wait staff. A very pleasant dinner.

07/03/2026: We've had 5 days staying in Salthill and this pub is very close to our digs. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and customers who are all up for a chat, brilliant Guinness. If only this place was closer!!

28/09/2025: A coffee shop where you can drink coffee and have a quick snack. The price is lower than in authentic places, but the assortment is also ordinary. We didn't have to wait. The coffee is acceptable.

14/06/2026: Normally we get it to go or enjoy down in O’Donnells as dogs are not allowed upstairs. It is the only restaurant to offer tofu dishes in the area, so you’d think beggars can’t be choosers, but honestly, the sweet and sour tofu noodle box is my favorite in all of Europe. Yah…I just said it…all. of. Europe!

03/06/2026: Just dined here recently and the food was delicious. I was a bit apprehensive when we arrived as the place is up over a pub and a bit dated. When we got inside the Mammy came over to us and she is very pleasant and eager to ensure everything is ok, this is a family owned and family run business. We’ve had a delicious meal and it wasn’t expensive at all and will definitely return the next time I’m in Donegal.

04/05/2026: Had Sunday dinner in the restaurant and the service, food and atmosphere were all excellent. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Enjoyed all three courses and a few glasses of delicious Malbec. They were also able to accommodate a change to my booking at fairly short notice which I greatly appreciated. All in all a fantastic experience which I will recommend to others.
