24/09/2025: I've been staying a number of days at a hotel near Hansel and Gretel, and have found this great little bakery and coffee shop a convenient stop as I'm walking to various tourist sites. The pastries are freshly baked and very good, and the coffee (which may be supplied by a coffee shop chain called Ariosa) is very good. Unlike other nearby coffee shops, Hansel and Gretel has no seating either inside or outside. But if a takeaway cup of coffee and a pastry is your thing, this is a great choice.

19/08/2025: Went to Grumps for the first time, guided by Google Maps, but turns out the opening hours were completely wrong. Why would a business not update that info themselves, instead of waiting for a customer (or in this case, a wannabe customer) to do it for them?

23/11/2025: This place is busy. We are almost at the holidays and the tables were all reserved for parties and functions. Standing room only so a friend of mine and I stood at the bar for a while until a couple of stools freed up. Since the parties at the bar were catered ordering food seemed difficult. We only had drinks and chatted nicely until the DJ came on and the music got louder. Then it got difficult to hear our conversation but we really enjoyed the music. 80's and 90's music which was nice and everyone started dancing. So much fun to be had and the dancers were in front of the door and getting out was a challenge. Overall my rating is 4 stars because we couldn't sample the menu. The drinks were good and the service was great. I will definitely return at a less busier time.

25/02/2026: I visited Róisín Dubh for their silent disco night. It was a fun experience to try for the first time and the atmosphere was lively. A couple of small things stood out. The Guinness was served in a non-branded glass, and after 10:30pm drinks are served in plastic cups. The crowd was quite young, which may appeal more to people in their early 20s. The silent disco had two music channels, mainly pop on one and UK grime on the other. It would have been nice to have a bit more variety. Also, the headphone volume cannot be adjusted, which made it feel quite loud after a while. Overall, a decent night out and a fun concept, but probably better suited to a younger crowd.

21/08/2025: The omelets (breakfast omelet), the scones, the beans on toast, the bread... Everything was delicious and mostly homemade. The woman who runs the cafe is lovely, very pleasant and smiling. You have to go there if you are in the area.

06/02/2026: I had a lovely chicken curry that kind of taste like a chicken satay and a honeycom caramel cheese cake would definitely come back again.

25/01/2026: Went here a few months ago for lunch, nobody in the place and she said take a seat and I'll be with you. I sat down, I was told that seat was taken and I had to move. There was nobody in the place...nor did anyone come after I moved. ... came back a second time and there's no hours of opening outside or on Google so I waited outside until I caught the chef outside telling 11am open for food. Waiting until 11:15 and still no doors open. So I left and won't be back.

19/11/2025: Back again!! I was here ages ago and thought it was great and couldn't get much better, but I was wrong. Loads more upgrades, new little cafe area for a cuppa and cake while you watch the kids in the soft play and take a min to yourself. We had a great time again, my 84 yr old father came for the drive with us and he sat watching us on the TV when we played the lazer tag he was amazed!! We were so well looked after love roller skating with the kids its so much fun, kids also played indoor soccer to end off a very busy day, we were there for hours. Also for anyone that thinks them arcade games never pay out ... well my 8 year old is living proof, he hit the €150 prize, the manager/owner came out personally to hand over the cash. He was a great sport and so good with my son. Keep up the good work all the staff are a credit to the place. See you all again soon.

26/02/2026: Honestly. We walked in. Lots of staff behind the counter. All looked terrified. One looked at us and looked away like we might bite. We just wanted a table for two. After a few minutes a girl came to seat us. She was friendly. We got a table and a water jug. I wish I'd taken a photo of the fish tank. There's two giant gold fish in the smallest filthiest tank. It's so sad. We were right next to it. Gold fish need space, they need a big tank. It's so cruel to keep them so confined. The staff couldn't make any eye contact, except the one girl. They genuinely looked as though they'd get in trouble for looking at customers. We left and didn't order so can't say anything about the food but what we saw coming out to other tables didn't look anything like it does on their online menu. Take from that what you will.

28/10/2025: Delivery took over two hours. When we rang after an hour and twenty minutes for an update we were told food left kitchen but one Delivery driver with several orders. Food was cold when it got here and restaurant just stopped answering the phone when after 2 hours, we had lost confidence if it would even arrive. We sent a follow-up email the next day with still no response. Not sure I can recommend
