The best restaurants

23/08/2026: Food is great, love the outdoot area!

12/08/2026: We had such a special experience at this restaurant. We had a family dinner to celebrate a 21st birthday, right on arrival, even though we were 20 minutes late to our booking the service was brilliant and the staff were so friendly. We had an amazing night, the food was incredibly tasty and very generous portion sizes for the price, it was great value. We were so comfortable sitting outside on the terrace with the lovely view. At the end of the meal we were treated to a lovely complimentary birthday desert. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, truly a hidden gem and we will definitely be back.

06/09/2026: Jhon is such a slay baddie diva he's such a skibidid labubu ILY jhon-Hannah canni have a chocolate lemonade

06/09/2026: They advertise to look after luggage for you - they let my bag get stolen from their back rooms. When I came to pick it up they said “it must already be collected” and had no idea where it went but scanned my barcode as “picked up” anyway so they could get their payment from the app. The men that work there haven’t a clue what’s going on at all. No apology, no urgency, no help, nothing. I had to file a report with the Garda so they could take their CCTV footage and my bag is still missing after 2 weeks. How can a half empty bag be stolen from their back rooms? How can they let just anyone roam around their premises? Terribly run business - do NOT leave your luggage here it is clearly not safe. I used the Bounce app, they should be taken off of it as they cannot be trusted.

07/06/2026: Inedible chicken fillet burger. Disappointing to see a chipper serve such poor quality chicken. Decent chips.

11/05/2026: I'm not a big fan of fast food, but recently needs must and I bought some food in Angelo's as they were recommended and it was an excellent recommendation, the chicken fillet burger meal was delicious, freshly cooked, yes you had to wait because they were busy but it was worth it. Delicious food and very reasonably priced.

21/07/2026: Best pub in Dublin by far! We’ve come here for years, but wanted to write a review tonight about how particularly lovely the staff were this evening (21st of July). Friendly and efficient, and the cocktails were delicious! Highly recommend the Cherrywood Sour 🍒

29/06/2026: We love bolands. We love the atmosphere. The food (the smash burgers), the staff are amazing! Our whole family including the dog always have the best time here.

29/08/2026: Amazing food, amazing service. Kamar always takes such good care of us. God bless

25/08/2026: I visited Passion4Food Ongar today and ordered two Chicken Doner Kebabs to take away. When I got home, I noticed on the receipt that I had also been charged €2 for a Coke Zero, even though I had not ordered or received one. I recommend checking your receipt carefully before leaving.

05/07/2026: A local recommended and so happy we came here. Brilliant bright atmosphere with friendly service. Lovely breakfast and coffee. Adorable quaint riverside.

21/06/2026: Friendly family run cafe. Wholesome home made food and cakes. Lovely friendly warm service.

24/05/2026: Love this restaurant. Food is absolutely fab. Whether it be dinner lunch or breakfast, the breakfast is actually outstanding with great choice too. Huge kids portions. Great presentation, lovely staff and great prices. A great asset to the town. 10/10.

26/08/2026: Very very mediocre food and service wouldn't be back also menu is crap. Wanted an Italian pizza got an aldi one. Toppings scarce. Chips just about cooked. No pasta, no lasagne you guys ain't an Italian restaurant

09/08/2026: Amazing food! One of the best pizzas around!

28/09/2025: Loved this place!!! So sad its closed

16/09/2025: Nice restaurant. Service was really slow but staff were friendly.

04/06/2026: We stayed in the cottages. They are spacious and have great views, but they are dated and a bit worn out. Lots of stuff didn't work properly (shower, dishwasher, smart tv). It is very basic accommodation in the cottages, but if you accept and expect this, there is plenty to enjoy here. Staff at the bar and restaurant were great. We also loved the location. Very peaceful and scenic.

03/06/2026: Outstanding stay – highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I absolutely wanted to leave a review, as our stay at this hotel will remain a wonderful memory. We received an incredibly warm welcome upon arrival. Our room was fantastic: spacious, spotlessly clean, and with a cozy, typically Irish charm that immediately made us feel at home. This room definitely deserves more stars! We also tried the hotel's restaurant and were delighted. The service was exceptionally warm and attentive, and the food was simply outstanding. In short: A thoroughly enjoyable stay. We would book this hotel again in a heartbeat – next time definitely for several days or even a whole week! 27/07/2026: I’ve ordered from this restaurant on numerous occasions through what’s for dinner, but unfortunately one of the sandwiches that I ordered yesterday, Sunday 26th July contained a foreign object that my husband almost choked on. It appears to be the foil top that you would remove from a bottle of mayonnaise or similar. What’s for dinner customer service are unable to contact the restaurant in order to let them know what happened. I’m incredibly disappointed and won’t be ordering from the wandering elk again as there is obviously a quality control/ due diligence issue here.

24/07/2026: Really friendly staff, great coffee and food!

17/07/2026: The sushi and veggie bento box are just amazing. Everything tasted so fresh. I’ll 100% come back ✨

12/07/2026: Good restaurant with vegan options. The service is impeccable. I really enjoyed the red curry. I might go back before leaving town to try other dishes. The price is a bit high.

06/06/2026: Embarrassing business. Gave out to me because they took my order wrong. Would have been happy if they just changed the order. Taking it to socials shows their immaturity. Dont go here.

11/01/2026: Unbelievably good drive-thru coffee, tasty treats and absolutely lovely staff.... with a different dad joke on the board every day. They also do Squid points. If you love coffee, you'll love this place.

16/08/2026: Fantastic evening thanks to Rowan! I love this pub, but tonight it was magical!!!!

26/07/2026: Everything was perfect, the beer was perfect, the atmosphere was great, the people were very polite and intelligent. It's definitely a place to visit again and recommend to a family member or friend – they won't be disappointed, in fact, they'll come back and recommend it. There's a lot of history here at Pier Head Inn.
