The best restaurants

09/02/2025: I spent a night at the hotel on Friday 7th Feb. The room was really lovely and the staff very friendly. I am a celiac and the staff at breakfast the next morning were so helpful. There was no trouble getting whatever I wanted for breakfast. After I checked out I went to leave and my car wouldn't start! Thankfully I had a set of jump leads so I went back to reception to ask if I could get some help. Honestly, there was no hesitation at all by the staff at reception. The manager got his keys and came straight down to the car park with me and helped me (well, he did all the work 🙂) get the car started again. I can't thank him enough for his help and patience, I really appreciate it. I look forward to vising the Osprey Hotel again and will be recommending it to my family and friends as a great place to stay ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

22/01/2025: This is a great place for breakfast with friendly, efficient workers. Food is served hot and is delicious. Pastries available at the front counter to go, if that’s what you’re looking for.

23/12/2024: The full Irish Breakfast and Avocado Sandwiches are super nice. However, the resto needs to improve the ventilation of the fume as it would be quite heavy fume trapped inside the restaurant when the chef is cooking.

20/02/2025: Stopped off for dinner while in killarney . Lovely quiet restaurant. Food was good not much of a variety for meals but what we had was beautiful .

16/12/2024: There is a high variety of flavors of ice creams and bubble teas in Magic Bubble, as well as the variety of toppings: all of which are lovely. The drinks are fantastic and the staff are kind and friendly. I frequent this place regularly and would highly recommend!

07/01/2025: This feels like a small family hotel. We called in here to have lunch, food was delicious and staff helpful and friendly. We were on the way from the midlands to Galway and stopped in Athenry for food, there are a lot of options available but we were very happy we picked here.

11/12/2024: Loved this Hotel!! I was doing a training in the BIA Innovator, and the New Park was ideal place to stay! So cosy and welcoming, loved the bar area!!

30/01/2025: Vivo en la zona de Terenure. Llevo años yendo al bermellón. Mi última experiencia no fue nada que haya tenido desafortunadamente. Comida muy pobre , sin sabor con porciones muy pequeñas por mucho dinero. No estoy seguro si hay nuevos dueños o nuevos chefs, pero soy reacio a regresar. Mi grupo de 4 adultos todos sentían lo mismo

13/01/2025: Comí aquí el viernes por la noche con un amigo mío y tuve una experiencia encantadora de principio a fin, el servicio es excelente, ya que todos son muy eficientes y atentos y la comida era deliciosa, aunque ambos dijimos que nos hubiera gustado más carne en la red, ya que parecía que era mucha salsa y no mucha carne, el lugar estaba impecable como donde los baños que me gusta ver y el restaurante era encantador y acogedor, ya que no me gusta cenar en lugares fríos. En general nos encantó nuestra visita y dijo que volveremos, pero no pensé que el menú era limitado, ya que no había Bhuna o Madrás y algunos de los habituales que se verían en un menú indio donde no estaba.

18/02/2025: I ordered a 8oz steak and it was 5oz at best (I also asked for it to be medium-rare and it was very well done which is disappointing for €37.50), service was fine (our waiter was friendly but didn’t speak English very well so couldn’t answer any questions about the menu), atmosphere was nice (pianist downstairs every evening).

12/01/2025: Terrible experience. The place was freezing, I had to keep my coat on throughout the meal. I ordered the lamb shank and struggled to find any amount of meat as it was so fatty. When I mentioned this to the waiter he just shrugged and said that's normal. I'm aware they were very short of waiting staff, so were under pressure, but I came away still hungry, cold, and €75 down for what was seriously mediocre food. Won't be returning.

The waiter was very friendly and helpful. He recommended Sean’s pub after, where we enjoyed a brilliant music session.. A good evening was had in Athlone!

The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. There was a good atmosphere. The music was a little old, but each song was a classic. Highly recommended and worth a try. Despite my initial reservations in a smaller locale, this establishment exceeded all expectations with its exceptional menu offerings. Our recent visit saw us savoring the Hong Kong Chicken and Teriyaki Duck Donburi, both of which left an indelible impression. The Hong Kong chicken, reminiscent of Panda Express's Orange Chicken in the United States, was a flavor-packed delight. The Teriyaki Duck Donburi, equally commendable, exhibited an exquisite fusion of flavors and a generous selection of vegetables.
