25/10/2025: 15/6/25: A great traditional Eire pub, well attended by locals and a friendly owner. Deco is spot on with lots of shining dark woods on counters and tables.. The deco within and outside the pub makes good use of contrasting wood and stone with the colour yellow which makes for an interesting look. There are tables outside the front of the pub and a large covered area at the back of the pub too. Dogs are allowed outside in the open front area and in the covered area at the rear which you can easily access at the side of the building, so there is no need to enter through the front door.

28/05/2025: The service was absolutely lovely, and the coffee well made and very reasonably priced! The furniture was nice, there are a lot of tables and chairs, I’m tempted to say too many, it can look a little overwhelming but on the weekends they might be packed. The decor is traditional- quirky, they have vases and signs placed a bit randomly around the place. A few nice unique paintings would have a significant effect on the atmosphere, I think. Worth checking out regardless!

11/01/2026: Great little gem out the back entrance of a wonderfully chaotic second hand bookshop. The cakes were delicious and the staff helped create a friendly atmosphere. Note: it’s better to enter through the bookshop over the strange back alley route.

23/12/2025: A truly special, tucked-away cafe with gorgeous cakes and scones and other treats baked on site. Food portions are large, hospitality is warm and generous, and it's a peaceful spot to spend an afternoon. Abundant courtyard seating (with heaters) for the warmly dressed (my first visit was in December). Highly recommended for people who want a Dublin oasis within an easy walk of Grafton/St. Stephen's/etc. Also of note: While the cafe has been in business for a couple of decades, it changed hands this year and the new owner, Julio, was on site, very warmly welcoming, and seems to have a happy staff working for him. UPDATE: Just noting after several more visits that my first impression has only cemented into a conviction that this is a world-class cafe and people who take the time to seek it out will leave feeling like the luckiest and best-liked customers who have ever visited.

13/03/2026: The crepes were absolutely amazing! I went in with no expectations and I was actually blown by them. We had the savoury crepes and they were crispy yet soft and extremely yum. And the hot chocolate was quite perfect too.

20/11/2025: I ordered the smoked salmon sandwich for €9, and what arrived was an existential culinary challenge. This wasn't a sandwich; it was a treasure hunt. I spent the first five minutes gently moving the beautiful, vibrant red onion slices aside, whispering, "Where are you, my pink prince?" I finally located the salmon: three slivers, shivering nervously, doing their best to hide beneath the cheese. I think the kitchen staff used an electron microscope to measure the portion. I'm giving it two stars because the bread was cut into two very generous slices, and the red onions were truly exceptional. If you're looking for a delightful onion sandwich with a whisper of fish, this is your spot. If you want salmon, bring your own fishing gear.

29/07/2025: We went there for breakfast, and we had a food allergy. The owner personally made sure the food was perfect for us. Everyone was very attentive. It was wonderful. A nice little café. We'd love to come back.
