A small but clean restaurant with high-quality produce. The best oysters I've ever had.
Oddly, they didn't have Guinness on tap.
Perfect Irish coffee!
Definitely a place to return to.
22/09/2025: We just got home after a wonderful week. It always feels like coming home. Thanks to your family. A week of fishing with skipper Jacky oShea was fantastic.
And the food at the Stone House was delicious.

09/12/2025: Had a small breakfast here this morning, Saturday 6th December. Service was quick and efficient. Reasonable value for money. Only criticism, the slice of bacon was cooked until it was hard, not crispy, just hard. Not sure it was cooked fresh to order. Otherwise all OK and yes I would go back. Cost including pot tea, €10.

11/12/2025: We had Emma waiting on us this evening and she was so attentive, friendly and took good care of our table. Really enjoyed our meal.
10/12/2025: Coqbull Castletroy. Lovely food manager is welcoming. However when paying for food the worker named Emma ignored us at the door for ages, when I finally got to pay she immediately walked off before I could ask for a receipt. When I did, she rolled her eyes printed one and left it on the table when I was standing right beside her. Very very rude girl should not be working in hospitality, coming from someone the same age as her.

11/02/2026: We arrived early in hope our room might be ready. We were greeted by a lovely lady on reception named Patricia, she was so welcoming and nothing was an issue to her. Patricia went out of her way to organise an early check in. The room was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. The staff at breakfast were also lovely and great breakfast. Short walk to the town but yet very private and quiet.
