The best restaurants

17/03/2026: Really central hotel, closer to everything. On arrival parking was scarce.. which is a good sign. Check in was smooth and seamless. A lovely cead mile faillte. Had dinner in the Marina, food was really good, great selection and very tasty, drinks menu was very nice too, unfortunately the Bord failte customer service doesn’t extend to the bar, evidently it was a cultural difference, while friendly and helpful, there’s no craic if ya get me. The rooms clean and beds so so comfortable, felt like I was in a cloud… it was so lovely the view from the room was comical… but I’m not complianing… I wasn’t there to be looking out a window!! The team and coffe station was just randomly placed on the safe…so maybe the tray was stolen or damaged and needs to be replaced, did it effect my sleep… absolutely not, but these are the small things that make the difference. Breakfast in the morning while lacking that cead mile failte we were asked out room number and that was it… we gave the room number and the reply was OK… and we were left to seat ourselves and navigate our way around, not the way I was trained by CERT 30 years ago… god I feel old…. again did that impact the stay no!! The breakfast was plentiful, fresh, great selection, everyone is catered for, did we leave happy and full.. YES. Receptionist on check out, seemed to be a well seasoned staff member, not the most pleasant. Who knows maybe she has loads going on at the moment, so we just heaped burning coals on her head and smiled. All in all a fab hotel. Will we be back? absolutely. Keep up the good work. The whole updates on WhatsApp is very clever when you check in too Ivy the virtual assistant we love her!

12/03/2026: With detailing in and Email, and wanting to secure my reservation, I had hoped to use a voucher I recieved. With between emails and getting ready to secure my days, I was informed that a day in between the days I had enquired had been fully booked, Disappointing, Not until the final email was I told that I had to secure my days by using my card details, if it were the case from the beginning it would of been fine. (0/5) It has been a complete waste of time trying to correspond via email to clarify the use of my voucher. (It's a private one that employees "myself Ex-employee" receive.) (-5/5) I would like to give a Thanks to Air B&B for Accommodating my stay, Quick and Efficient and cheaper. (5/5)

28/12/2025: The cafe was busy when we visited... a good sign. €15 for a single slice of toast with avocado and poached egg seemed very excessive, especially as there was no table service for orders, all of which had to be completed at the counter.... the food was tasty.

01/08/2025: Why do you have your closing time listed as 10:30 PM, but you already stop serving customers at 10:00 PM? I come here every day, sometimes even 2–3 times a day. Sometimes I'm served, other times the shutter is already down or one staff member says I can still buy something while another lady from the store tells me to leave. I spend at least €30–40 a day here, and I never know what to expect. Yesterday I had to go to Applegreen, where they were serving even after midnight, but at 11 PM you refused, and I had to go even further — to Cavan. Please respond, change your listed hours, or I’ll come and speak to the manager myself. Maybe someone is just in a rush to clean up and get home early. But if the hours on Google Maps are accurate, I’m not going to keep cycling like crazy just to find out I can’t buy anything. Either change the hours on Google Maps or give me an explanation in response to this comment. I’m giving 5 stars because I really like your staff. Unfortunately, just before closing time, there are people I don’t really know, and I’ve been misled or left without service several times. If I had probably filled up on fuel — even though I don’t have a car — things would likely have been different. I’m leaving this message for the manager. Regards

01/08/2025: Unexpected pitstop for diesel an we found this! Everything was cooked to order, so incredibly fresh. The lovely man behind the counter warned of the portion size for our 10yo, even though it meant lower sales... A lovely family experience!

19/08/2025: We recently held a company party at Malone’s, and it was a brilliant day from start to finish. With over 70 staff in attendance, everything ran so smoothly thanks to Aisling, who organised it all, from the delicious food by The Pig’s Tale to the live music later in the evening. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Everyone had a great time, and we’re already looking forward to making this an annual event. Highly recommend for any occasion! Thank you from all of us at The O'Reilly Group 🙂

14/02/2025: It's pretty much your average "coffee shop" with a moderate coffee choice, some baked goods, and pre-made cold sandwiches. The coffee was ok, as was the sandwich. So long as you don't hope for it being "awesome" you won't be disappointed.

15/03/2026: My name is brendan Hughes and I had a table booked-confirmed and paid for on Thursday 12 March. When I arrived on Sat 14 to fulfill my appointment the staff were unable to find it but eventually the lady behind the counter must have found some reference to it and told us Table2. We were shown to a table beside a fire. There were two of us and the table was the size of a Singer sowing machine. We are not small people could not possibly eat while seated side by side. So I asked the lady could she possibly seat us at a larger table and she refused. When I tried to reason with the lady she accused me of raising my voice. So not only were we treated with utter contempt we got no meal because we could not eat in such a crowded situation..having driven from Dublin was not great. This lady had no manners or respect for customers. I would not recommend this place unless you want to be insulted. Her attitude was do it her way or leave----so we left. Faulty Towers comes to mind for the bad manners.

13/03/2026: Rather hidden, but food worth the search. Good menu based on fresh local ingredients especially fish, presentation simple yet nicely innovative. Good wine list. Service rapid and friendly.

15/01/2026: Great hotel, they do a good breakfast and there Tapas menu is very good. For smoker's there is a smoking area on floor 1, just upstairs from the bar.

05/01/2026: Had chicken wings here at the weekend possibly the worst wings I’ve ever had my 3 mates laughed when the seen them tiny wings bearly any meat on them and not 1 bit of flavour
