The best restaurants

12/08/2025: One of the best pubs I’ve been in Ireland. Great atmosphere! The owners are such a nice couple that makes you feel at home, and the service is great! Perfect to gather with friends, family, partner or just to stop by for a drink. And it has a billiard hall and a music box!!

29/10/2025: A very welcoming pub with good music, pool, and darts. The people were lovely, and there were lots of young people with whom we spent the afternoon playing darts.

13/10/2025: Whilst on a driving holiday around the whole of Ireland we stopped off in Donegal & what a fabulous night we had! First we ate at the Olde Castle then we crossed the road and had a great night full of Irish Craic - it was simply the best night we had!!!

23/05/2026: Yes stopped for a break and went it for food. And a great variety to be had, and they arnt afraid to feed you. Will be back.

13/05/2026: I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I ordered breakfast, a Sandwich. They refuse to heat the products sold. I had to pay for it and throw it away when leaving the store. Some products are not edible unheated, having fats that cannot be eaten cold. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

09/06/2026: The workers don’t have a clue what there doing I asked for no peri tamer sauce and no spring onions it came out with peri tamer sauce I politely said sorry I asked for no peri tamer she than came back with the same plate 15 minutes later with peri tamer still on it thinking I’m stupid so I couldn’t even eat my food and had to leave food was cold iswell.

27/01/2026: Excellent! Very good food and very reasonable prices, with a splendid view, of course. If we ever return to Cobh, we will definitely go back to "Quays Bar & Restaurant".

26/11/2025: Honestly, I'm baffled. 5/5? The lady who took our order was pleasant but that is the ony positive I can give. Cutlery was dirty, food burnt and/cold, and sending it back didn't improve it any. The coffee was below par. There was no apology, no offer of something else. First and last visit.

18/04/2026: The food was delicious and very high quality. The duck wings for starter were amazing and the steak was cooked to perfection. Great value for money and the service from Ciara was the icing on the cake. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

06/04/2026: We had a really lovely meal for Easter in Ribeye, tuna crudo and bruschetta were really delicious to start and steak was fantastic but the real standout was the service. Ciara was such a gem, super friendly and warm and gave excellent recommendations on wine. She made us feel so welcome and looked after. Emma was brilliant also, super attentive without being overbearing and also just a really friendly face. While the food is great the staff are really a credit to the place

17/05/2026: This is a very nice place to eat. The staff is friendly. The food is good. The prices are decent. The fish and chips are excellent. Also the shoreline works for breakfast is all time.

19/05/2026: I ordered a takeaway from here over the weekend and was seriously impressed. The burgers were absolutely amazing – juicy, full of flavour, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The chips were just as good, perfectly cooked and really satisfying alongside the burgers. What really stood out as well was the service. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great takeaway!

06/05/2026: I ordered a takeout on Monday last,I was told it would be 80minutes for delivery,nearly two hours later I rang the restaurant to see where my delivery was,I was told there was an issue with the car and then told the driver was in castletroy which is the opposite side of town because they ordered before me,20 minutes later my order arrived it was cold very runny with 6 smallish pieces of chicken my,nan bread was tasteless and dry,very disappointing cost 55euro.. not worth the hassle or price
