The best restaurants

27/01/2025: Unfortunately for the management, they had no water due to storm Éowyn. Not a cup of coffee/tea could be had. However, they were distributing free bottles of water. The information as to when the water would return was sketchy. I will return under better circumstances as it would only be fair to give another review.

25/01/2025: Second time staying here. Good service and great food. The feather blade beef was top notch 👌 👏. Great venue for pool events.

30/01/2025: Currently on the Western Way I found a very pleasant refuge at Campbell last night after the tough climb of Croagh Patrick. A fireplace, some Guinness and all served by Richie who was super friendly! I will come back with great pleasure!

08/01/2025: Always a great Pint at Campbells, even during the Big Freeze of 2025! Cozy, local flavour, and a genuine Irish pub. Don't miss it, especially after the long climb of Croagh Patrick!

10/10/2024: They could do a better job of the battered sausages, batter just about on the sausage, not impressed at all

12/08/2024: Forgot to put tomato sauce on my pizza, not on at all. Not happy.

19/08/2024: Lovely pub with fantastic Guinness. Staff were friendly and efficient. There was a fantastic atmosphere

01/02/2025: I have eaten here a few times since it’s opened. Had lunch’s and every time I ate I hoped it would be better! It wasn’t so won’t be back. Very small portion for the price. Just wanted a light lunch one day and had calamari which was rubbery. Second time salad which was tiny but tasty but for the price crazy! I had soup one day pumpkin which was sickly. Sorry guys your place is lovely but need more food on plate and price changes.

31/01/2025: I’ve never had such vulgar food. I wouldn’t feed that to my dog. Steak was dry, tough, overdone and overpriced. Chicken had no flavor. Had to ask 3 times for the bill, was only shy of getting up and walking out. What a terrible experience as we don’t eat out often and thought we’d treat ourselves

02/02/2025: Got coffees, brunchy eggs and the cinnamon Roll, all really tasty. Staff are accommodating and friendly, service was fast and the café is nicely decorated. Would recommend!

22/01/2025: This restaurant is so lovely - wonderful staff and really good food . We had a variety of dishes from calamari , risotto, hake , pizza . It gets really busy in the summer so it’s best to book . We like going in the winter when it’s quieter and it’s easier to get a table . I can’t recommend highly enough.

11/01/2025: Enjoyed a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner at Azzurro in Dunmore East. The menu offers something for everyone, with fresh, locally inspired dishes and fantastic cocktails that really stood out. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent. A great choice for a special occasion or a meal out anytime!

04/11/2024: Very central, clean and comfortable accommodation with a very well-equipped kitchen and large bathroom. They even left us amenities, juices, muffins, and tea and coffee service. We also reserved a parking space for €15/day. If you have heavy luggage, it is preferable to request a ground floor because the stairs are narrow and there is no elevator. When we arrived in the afternoon the heating radiator was on and it was very appreciated. Highly recommended.

23/10/2024: The room was completely fine for 5 people. The size was appropriate and we were also very satisfied with the furnishings. The beds were very comfortable :-) The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. Our heaviest suitcase was even carried to the third floor. My children (who don't yet speak English) were also impressed by the two young receptionists from Mexico and Brazil. The location of the hotel is great! O'Connel Street can be reached on foot in just a few minutes (max. 10). There is a good and inexpensive pizzeria right next door. The bus stops almost right in front of the door. Great, even with children!

09/10/2024: Our first impression on arrival without even exiting our vehicle was very positive. It spelled neat and clean. Conscientious owners. My wife and I spent two enjoyable nights there. Our room was very generous in pristine condition. The bedding was luxurious, king size, brand new luxurious carpeting, generous windows. The bathroom was brand new, wonderful ceramics, large shower with beautiful modern fixtures and amazing water pressure. The food menu was extensive. The food was authentic, made from scratch with quality ingredients. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They took an interest in us. Even the owners were ever present. The hotel occupied a very large footprint in the town centre creating a most prestigious impression. An experience worth twice the price. J&G Dettbarn. Toronto Canada

26/01/2025: Rooms are nice, but loud music even after midnight is not acceptable.

26/01/2025: So thankful for the reception staff at this hotel! Haven prebooked accommodation with a private host and let down last minute, we managed to secure some rooms here. The hotel is in a perfect location and is reasonably priced with breakfast included. Entertainment at night and a very nice bar. Will stay again!

20/02/2025: Went here on a date with my boyfriend and both got cocktails. So delicious and sat right in the window and watched the world go by. Love the atmosphere and staff in here. Thank you for a great evening.

11/02/2025: A VIBE, used to live 5 min away now live on the other side of town but I still go!!!
