20/01/2025: Going there since day one. Always clean and toilets spotless and can get busy so staff can’t always get to clear the tables which everyone should understand. Windows are kept really clean and most of all, the staff and the coffee are really great.

13/02/2025: My wife and I honeymooned to Ireland 12 years ago. Portarlington was the first town we visited on our way across the country.
The owner/owners (in 2013, hopefully same owners) are some of the kindest people I have met... To this day I will always remember the generosity, human connection and love. When they found out we were married that week and honeymooning to Ireland, they took a HUGE Guinness flag off their wall as a momento for our trip. I think of them often when I come across others who show that kind of love to me. Thanks for the memories... just thought I'd share some love back 12 years later!!! - Taylor

24/12/2024: Whenever we go to Athlone we always make sure to book this restaurant. In fact we went both nights. The food is fantastic. The staff are really attentive. If you like good Thai food, this is the place to go.
24/11/2024: First time in Kin Khao after many recommendations and it did not disappoint. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and the food was second to none. Generous portions, really well presented and the flavour and freshness of the dishes was perfection. Looking forward to our next visit.

30/12/2024: Had a great stay. Spacious and clean room. Bed and pillows were first class. Great location with supermarket and wine bar only metres away.
06/12/2024: Rooms are on the small side but nice and clean. Breakfast is nice with views or the river.
Edit: Fri 6th Dec 2024.
Stayed for a 2nd time on Dec 5th in room 224 only to be blasted with music from an adjacent function room event from when I went to bed at 12 until 1:30am.
Worst nights sleep I’ve had in any hotel. Check for parties in the function room before booking this room 🔊

Very impressed with how clean the cafe was and with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Lovely cozy atmosphere and the food was all delicious! Service with a smile and super tasty too! Pleasantly surprised by this little gem 💎
18/02/2025: Disappointing sandwich menu if you’re a vegan - and even more disappointing to have to pay €0,90 for an alt milk - seems excessively overpriced

12/08/2024: We went for dinner. Both the starter and main courses were over cooked and very disappointing. We complained to staff but they weren’t very responsive. There didn’t appear to be anyone in charge. Would not recommend
