17/05/2026: Proper fish and chips!!! The bomb!!!

20/04/2026: Food is great but the old delivery driver is a weirdo. Told me off for not putting an apartment number when I said on the instructions to ring me when at the eircode and I'll meet him, which is what we would have done anyway even if the apartment number was there. I did this because the same guy a few weeks ago somehow goes to the wrong building and blames me for it (despite again having an eircode he could have used like a normal person). Just unpleasant and puts me off ordering delivery again despite the good food. No need to be so awkward when you're handing me a bag of chips.

14/12/2025: Old, cosy traditional pub, with genuinely nice staff (shout out to young dark haired bartender who had the patience of a saint). Great buzzy atmosphere. Will call again!

05/12/2025: The Lord Edward made it onto my “Dublin Pub Crawl” list thanks to a bartender at the Guinness Gravity Bar who swore it had a great pint of Guinness and insisted we check out the upstairs. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the upstairs was closed. Still no idea what is up there or why it was recommended. This is a small pub with a unique bar layout and plenty of age behind it. And by “age,” I mean it has not seen a remodel in a very, very long time. The men’s room is basically just a wall with a drain on the floor (which I found highly amusing), and according to the bartenders, the women’s bathroom used to be a broom closet that was converted once women were allowed into pubs. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how much this place has changed over the years. Very authentic and cool in its own way. We stopped in late on a Thursday night. The crowd was wrapping up, so we managed two rounds before last call. The bartenders signal last call the old school way, by flicking the lights on and off. Gave me a good laugh. As for the pint… it was okay. One bartender knew what he was doing and poured a proper Guinness. The other poured it the way Americans do when they have no idea what they are doing, and he did it consistently. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Lord Edward and got plenty of laughs out of the whole experience. The company was great and the pub absolutely has character. Now, if we can only get that one bartender on board with pouring Guinness correctly… We still want to know what is upstairs.

07/04/2026: Fun fact: once owned by Bono. Excellent location for everything, sights, tours, Guinness, shopping, etc. Can be noisy because it's located in Temple Bar district.

18/03/2026: Visited, 13 of us, 2013, was terrific. The Clarence location allowed us to walk to all of Dublin's sights. No cars on bridge over River Liffey out photo point. Less chaotic and more minstrels , jigs, on cobblestone streets -The Porterhouse, the best part of Temple Bar.

26/05/2026: Service was great, lovely Irish band that played on Monday night. Would have appreciated if they served food, would have stayed here all night if that were the case :).

18/05/2026: Great spot to stay for those wanting to explore the ring of Kerry! The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean, not to mention spacious. The staff were all very kind and accommodating and having the breakfast each morning was such a nice perk (not to mention yummy). Definitely recommend booking it so it’s included! No parking directly at the hotel, but all the street parking spots are free. And although it says a 2 hr. limit everywhere that isn’t enforced - so you can leave your car worry free.

29/05/2026: I really like this place! 🤩 The sandwiches are great, and the bread is perfectly crispy. 🥪 The service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is wonderful. ✨ My only minor issue was the coffee; it was a bit bitter ☕ keep in mind coffe os the reason we all go to a place and it isn't cheep either.

04/05/2026: Great coffee and sandwiches, always have seasonal specials. Staff were very welcoming and polite. Not cheap but worth the price for the quality. Recommend if near the area
