06/05/2026: The sandwich is delicious, and the service is excellent. I also really enjoyed the coffee, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this spot for breakfast – they offer a great selection of scones and other tasty treats to go with your coffee. The interior is quite simple, but that’s not what matters.

19/03/2026: Very nice cafe with good service and reasonably priced. It’s quite surprisingly so being close to St James’s. I had a lovely reasonably priced breakfast and would recommend without hesitation.

What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is its outstanding team. The welcome was fantastic: we were greeted with exceptional friendliness and courtesy. Every single staff member is passionate about their work and anticipates every guest's needs. Such perfect, attentive, and warm service is truly rare! This exceptional hospitality continued seamlessly in the restaurant – the service there is absolutely unparalleled. The hotel itself and our suite were also superb: spacious, spotlessly clean, and simply perfect for relaxation. Another big plus for us drivers: you can park your car directly and conveniently in front of the hotel. 05/06/2026: I visited there recently for a christening, a great venue, lovely food, and staff are brilliant, from check in to check out. Rooms are spacious, big windows big bath with a lovely shower. Big comfy bed, spotlessly clean. They have big windows in the function room, leading out to a patio and and garden. Great selection of food for breakfast

22/08/2025: I think I had the best cheese burger I have ever tasted. Very polite staff. Quick service. I feel mean only giving the atmosphere 3 stars but its a burger van with outdoor seating. It's a place to sit when its not raining. There is nothing wrong with it (clean and plenty of bins nearby) but it is a place to sit not a place to party. You go for the burger they create, you create your own atmosphere

11/06/2026: The hotel has a certain charm, but it's not worth 4 stars: no safe in the room, no refrigerator, no air conditioning, and the shower is mounted on top of the bathtub and doesn't have a hand shower. The bathroom is small and outdated. At 200 euros a night, it's not good value for money. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special, the staff were friendly, and the housekeeping was efficient.

03/05/2026: Very nice meal, good pasta, pizza and bruschetta. Only downside was we booked for 515, arrived 523pm and were told we would need to give table back 645, fine no problem. At 625 just after receiving kids ice creams (still eating) and paying bill, we were told “we need the table back” not even a please or would you mind. Surprised, we said just a few minutes to finish ice creams and then reminded the waitress we were told 645 not 630. She walked off. There was nothing else said not even ok finish your ice creams. Left a bad taste unfortunately.

26/03/2026: Another place that seems to want to redefine what a carbonara is. Pancetta instead of guanciale. Parmesan instead of pecorino. Cream for no reason whatsoever. If I order a gin + tonic do you make it with vodka? Just call it something else guys. It's not carbonara.

09/05/2026: Really disappointed with our experience here. The smell in the restaurant was enough to put both me and my boyfriend off our food before we even started eating. We tried to give it a chance, and to be fair the duck pancakes were actually really nice, but everything else we ordered was basically inedible. The food tasted off and I ended up getting sick shortly after eating it. Such a shame because we were really looking forward to it after eating here a number of times but definitely won’t be returning

03/05/2026: We are staying next door we stopped in after just arriving In town. This is authentic of an irish pub that you can get. The owner management and waitstaff was all excellent. We enjoyed combination platter. Ask for tony " tall dark and handsome"

22/12/2025: Oh-this was such a great experience! My partner and I had some food here, we really enjoyed it. I had the fruit and yoghurt and he had the pesto, eggs and bread. So freshly prepared, the music was lovely and staff so friendly. Absolute recommend!😍

10/10/2025: We stopped for a coffee, and it turned out to be the best latte in town, and the best apple scone I've ever had. The place is tiny, but cozy and very clean. And the staff is very attentive. There's a small bathroom downstairs from where you can also see the kitchen. I'll definitely be back.

01/10/2025: Hygiene at this place is very poor. Dishes are washed by hand and wiped with the same dirty cloth in the same water. There is no dishwasher in the downstairs kitchen, and everything is done in unhygienic conditions. The products are not safe, hygiene-wise. Be careful!

01/04/2026: The reviewers are definitely right about this been one of the best chinese in Castlebar, we had spice bag, satay sauce and salt and chilli chicken balls. Everything was delicious and even the shredded chicken was so nice to eat

29/12/2025: Was in a couple of days prior to Christmas. Belting atmosphere. Had 3 packets of scampi fries as an accompaniment to the Guinness so feel the food rating is fair.
