16/10/2025: The Allihies Copper Mine Museum is a small but extremely informative museum – lovingly designed and full of fascinating insights into the history of copper mining in this region. The exhibition is presented in a modern style and impressively conveys how hard and deprived the lives of the miners once were. The personal atmosphere is particularly pleasant: you can feel the dedication with which the museum is run. The location in the picturesque village of Allihies, surrounded by impressive coastal scenery, also makes a visit a special experience. A small, yet exquisite museum that should not be missed – highly recommended!

10/10/2025: Beautiful location, delicious food and great service. The €7.00 for the museum was seriously overpriced. Interesting but small and not worth it

16/08/2025: Clean and welcoming place, excellent service. Cappuccino compared to the large Italian ones, but you can choose between small, medium, and large, but excellent. A piece of advice: stop by ☺️🤗🤗

07/03/2026: Driving from Kilkenny to Dublin for 8 o’clock kick off in Lansdowne Road stopped off at Macari 66 on Braemor Rd, plenty of parking. 6 or so customers in shop but maybe 5/6 people behind counter. Irish lady clearly running the show. Ordered a cheese burger and small chips . Burger was really nice and plenty of sauce, cheese and onions. Was given a half bag of chips which was perfect. All wrapped in paper sheets , old school including smell of vinegar on paper. Did not notice the price , should have but it was best chipper visit in years. As kid there was a chipper in Kilmacud called Angelos and it was hard to beat but this spotless place has it . Well done all . Will be back when I can. Jon . Thomastown,KK.

30/12/2025: Tired this place for the first time , staff really friendly and the fish and chips were delicious, will be back !

22/02/2026: We treated ourselves with a visit to this underrated hidden gem in West Cork. If you ever had visited Italy or ever had genuine Italian food …you know … we had antipasti, pasta, pizza and desert 😋. Everything was fresh and well balanced. The house red was a little disappointing but will return for the delicious food again, soon! We were very well looked after by friendly and attentive staff.

03/11/2025: The Italian shopkeepers were very friendly. If you're passing by and on your way to Mizen Head, you can stop by for a meal.

16/10/2025: Interior is dated. Coffee was below average, totally overpriced food too.. I won't be back.

26/09/2025: I had the coffee here and it was bitter I think they added too much coffee. I can drink strong coffee but this was bitter and adding sugar didn't help it. It is overpriced and not really high standard and a few of the staff look depressed there but the staff were nice I just felt bad for them. If it's all of them looking a bit sad it's usually the way they are treated by management, i know from personal experience. Edit: Excuse me but I don't care. 1 I don't go to Ucc, 2 This is my review of your café I have given other places 1 star your not special. 3 if you are going to threaten defamation you have to prove that what people say are false. 4 I never knew about you threatening a staff with a weapon allegedly now I regret ever going to your cafe as that is disgusting to have that as a rumour. This comment you made makes you seem deranged. I never knew about the rumours I stopped in and had bad coffee which is what I put down and your staff seemed sad how would you know if you ain't there. You have to things in your personal life. Get a grip not everyone is going to like your cafe

07/02/2026: Such a cosy and nice pub. Staff is fast and absolutely nice! Had a total blast there with live music an locals. Definetly a place to visit while in Killarney

18/03/2026: Tables a mess and not enough staff to cope at busy times, wish the would pay staff more !!

15/03/2026: Worker with long blonde hair was very unhygenic while preparing food. I seen him once with his finger in his nose and then wiping it into his shirt. He also appeared very rude giving customers dirty looks and what liked him talking bad about customers to other employees. I told him to cheer up abit and his expression immediatly changed and told me to go away. I did not eat my food as what I witnessed made me feel sick which resulted me having to go buy food from the food place beside.

29/10/2025: Adriana & Erica are so welcoming, conscientious & possess a great sense of humour 😄 very attentive, each time we visit. Wonderful to see so many cultures, 🇲🇩 Moldova, India 🇮🇳 Brazil 🇧🇷 make up the Staff, ably led by the brilliant Adriana 👏 I will miss Adriana 😢 when she leaves in March. To quote a Pop band back in the day; "Please don't go!" 😉

27/09/2025: Excellent food, Coffee and jaw dropping service! The restaurant is cozy for a Saturday afternoon coffee and snack.

10/03/2026: Myself and my partner have travelled 40 minutes on multiple occasions to bia after calling to confirm opening hours but when walking in the door 3 young girls tell us they have closed early From a regular customer to bia management, this is extremely unprofessional as this is not the first time this has happened and 3 young girls that was representing your business were extremely rude - I will not be back when these staff members are working The older woman working for yous is a credit to your business, always polite friendly and helpful
