18/11/2025: I really enjoyed the sandwich and cookies. The staff were very nice too. It's a great spot with nice outdoor seating as well. Such a shame they don't offer any 'for here' cups or plates, this location especially has the space to do it.

25/09/2025: Every time I come here I come away feeling completely underwhelmed. Cheap furniture, uninspired decor, barely adequate toilet facilities, slow service (as there's always a queue) . The staff are pleasant enough, but in comparison to many other cafes this falls short of the mark. It only survives on the back of a shortage of competition in this area of Limerick, and despite a big student population, it's certainly not cheap.

17/03/2026: This place was fantastic, perfect for the night before Saint Patrick's day parade. Great fun to sing along to classic tunes you love. Everyone is dancing and energy is high.

18/03/2026: They have a very convenient 8.50-ish combo that includes a beverage and a pasty. It's very filling, and you can tell it's all fresh ingredients. Very flavorful. Honestly, it's a great adaptation of the Argentinian empanada to what pasties are. For just over 8 euros, you get an empanada that's like three of ours with a Coke. The meat one (traditional) has potato 🙏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Unbeatable for Dublin.

26/09/2025: I had booked my sisters 21st surprise birthday party. I can say from the day I booked it we were made so welcome to the pub. Thanks to the boss and the staff for the best night. The function room and venue was amazing and ideal for us. Great for christening party etc. would highly recommend. Couldn’t Thank yous enough.

19/10/2025: We are new Wicklow residents, this was our first time at Sparrows Nest and we were not disappointed. Excellent food, including Lamb Shank, which was tender and delicious and light and tasty tempura fish accompanied by a lovely French Rose. Our waitress, Alex, was extremely welcoming, friendly and efficient. The restaurant was busy, the atmosphere was warm and pleasant with a great buzz, but the front of house and kitchen staff were on the ball. We will definitely be back!

06/03/2026: I had a great experience at KFC in the Marshes Shopping Centre, Dundalk. The food was absolutely delicious and everything tasted fresh and hot. The service was excellent as well — all the workers were so friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to Kate, who was incredibly kind and patient. She made the experience even better with her great attitude and helpfulness. I was also impressed with how fast the service was — it took less than 5 minutes to get my food! The restaurant had such a lovely, comfortable environment and the whole visit was really enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend!
