The best restaurants

30/11/2025: I used to love Nancy’s Bar, but during my last visit it became obvious that non-white customers are treated differently by the bouncers. I was allowed in, yet my husband who is non-white and was properly dressed was denied entry without any explanation. This was unacceptable and deeply disappointing. I won’t be returning to Nancy’s again, which is unfortunate because the bar staff have always been lovely.

30/11/2025: I visited Limerick for one night with a friend after traveling all the way from Galway, and unfortunately our experience at Nancy Blake’s was extremely disappointing. When we reached the entrance, the bouncer refused us entry with a vague “not tonight guys,” even though we were sober, respectful, and simply looking to enjoy the night. What made the situation worse was watching the group directly behind us—local white patrons—walk in without any questions or hesitation. When we politely asked for a reason for being denied, none was given. The entire interaction felt discriminatory and left us feeling singled out for no legitimate reason. As visitors who were excited to experience the city’s nightlife, this was a genuinely upsetting moment. No one should be treated like this at the door of any establishment. I hope the management takes this seriously, because experiences like this leave a lasting negative impression on travelers.

14/11/2025: Service could be a lot better. For some very strange reason they dont take cash. Coffee was very good value and tasted very good

14/11/2025: Ordered original glaze dozen when the hot now sign was on and they gave us a box of cold donuts.

18/08/2025: They don't do food, but if your having a party they allow food to be delivered. Staff are very friendly and lovely pints. The establishment has a good friendly atmosphere, we come here quiet a lot.

23/08/2025: Ordered an oat matcha, was handed one with cows milk. I noticed the odd taste straight away. After I asked for another one, the matcha they handed me was brown and only tasted of syrup. Very disappointing.

14/07/2025: Lovely cookie hot chocolate and a big one too, had a nice apple tart also. The place is nice and quiet when I visited and service was good.

01/03/2026: We heard great things about the restaurant and were so excited to go there. The receptionist was very kind and got a table for my pregnant wife and I. However, our food came out almost immediately after we ordered- but was missing an item. We had to ask for water twice, and recieved our water and drinks we ordered once we were done eating. The sandwich I ordered was cold which was unfortunate, but my wife enjoyed the eggs benedict. Lastly, the missing item came out well after we were done eating and finished our hot drinks. It was a disappointing brunch.

22/12/2025: Oh-this was such a great experience! My partner and I had some food here, we really enjoyed it. I had the fruit and yoghurt and he had the pesto, eggs and bread. So freshly prepared, the music was lovely and staff so friendly. Absolute recommend!😍

06/12/2025: Never disappoints. Great pizza (particularly the pancetta, with hot honey 👌🏻) and always a cozy village feel with great service! Would recommend.

21/07/2025: The best pizza what we ever ate. Food is lovely. Only what I didn't like.... I would like more salad in kebab( last time I didn't get any tomato, got only bit iceberg lettuce an was bit too dry) I got charged more for 3 kebabs than it said on the poster. For me those 3 extra euros means a lot on those days. Anyways I'll come back again

10/10/2025: We stopped for a coffee, and it turned out to be the best latte in town, and the best apple scone I've ever had. The place is tiny, but cozy and very clean. And the staff is very attentive. There's a small bathroom downstairs from where you can also see the kitchen. I'll definitely be back.

01/10/2025: Hygiene at this place is very poor. Dishes are washed by hand and wiped with the same dirty cloth in the same water. There is no dishwasher in the downstairs kitchen, and everything is done in unhygienic conditions. The products are not safe, hygiene-wise. Be careful!

19/08/2025: Delicious food at a very reasonable price. Absolutely lovely staff and a really friendly environment.

16/06/2025: Had the pleasure of visiting today. Enjoyed a delicious apple cake and oat latte. Piping hot brew just how I like it. Will be back.

19/07/2025: Four of us went there for dinner. It was a Thursday evening. It was a truly delightful experience. The waitress was welcoming, clarified any doubts we had in relation to the menu, explained dishes, talked about the ingredients,... And all that with kindness, patience and a smile. We all agreed that the food not only looked amazing (beautifully presented), it was delicious!!! Lately, I have experienced that, although some restaurants may have nice food, you barely get to enjoy it or enjoy the company of the person you're with. Once you sit down, the clock starts ticking and when time is over you're presented with the bill. Wine is overpriced and often served incorrectly (too warm or filling the glasses too fast in order to get you to buy another bottle). Thankfully, none of that happened here!!! I enjoyed being out with my friends, trying delicious dishes new to us. Having a relaxed dinner and catching up without being interrupted or rushed out. I will certainly go back and I'd recommend it for the quality of the food and the service!
