05/10/2025: The food, pints, and atmosphere are excellent, but the service is really bad :(

05/10/2025: A very good pub, very well-known here in Cork. The day begins in the morning, serving coffee, breakfast, and brunch, serving food practically every day. It's a huge pub with plenty of seats and high-quality food, with a large terrace, which is where I usually go when it's sunny. The service and staff are all good. During the day, when night falls, the frisky whiskey transforms into live music at night, sometimes with DJs. Like on Saturday nights, the house is full again. A very good atmosphere, middle-aged, where everyone enjoys a good time relaxing. I highly recommend it here; you're welcomed and everything is very good.

09/08/2025: Didn't have food but the place has been done up really well. Great for a local club

13/04/2025: Bar service is not good, not enough staff and very rude bar staff, not skilled, ran out of red wine at 9.30pm and didnt 🤔 think this was an issue during a party!! Music was brilliant, great tunes!! Nice room for a party.

11/11/2025: It's a dream hotel, in a beautiful location, and the staff are fantastic. They made us feel right at home. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, which was a great choice, as the food was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our English isn't very good, and they immediately found Spanish-speaking staff to give us the information we needed. At reception, the two employees were very kind and helpful. Jaime was absolutely delightful; he made our stay easy and went out of his way to help us. Thank you so much, Jaime, and I also want to thank the waiters in Marbella and the lovely waitress at dinner.

01/01/2026: Waited 35 mins for two toasties that were ice cold in the middle with none of the cheese melted in the middle, wont be coming back

11/08/2025: Traditional Irish music session on the first Friday of the month. All musicians welcome. Well worth a visit. Roaring open fire on the colder nights. Pool table. Large smoking area. A hop, skip and a jump from where the library was on John's Quay.

11/11/2025: You know you’re in the country when youngsters in their blinged out tractors, adoring partners riding high on fenders inside the cab roar up and down the Main Street. Others in Japanese ‘sports’ cars emptying their waste gates (turbos ?) at every opportunity, resembling something like an airplanes toilet. Gotta love it ! In need of a quick tasty bite I positioned myself on one of the outdoor tables to watch life pass by. Settling on the choice of a toasted bagel with bacon and cream cheese and a pot of tea, what was served didn’t meet my expectation. A bagel more baked than warmed, bacon dripping in oil with a thick unappetising grind, a jar of accompanying cream cheese leaving one to make their own, no butter leaving a somewhat, uneatable dry item. Tea served without milk or a tea spoon or sugar. Keep in mind folks it’s never bad service. It’s always bad training or lack of. I don’t enjoy roasting an eatery (pun intended) but come on lads. This is 101 stuff. It’s a lovely location, nice decor and I would return to give it a second chance but left on this occasion wishing I hadn’t paid and looking for a nearby petrol station for a chicken wrap.

05/11/2025: We had lunch there yesterday, it was fab. All the staff were lovely and the soup and sandwich were perfect.

18/12/2025: Went in, ordered coffee, paid and while I was on my way to the table I was told that they were closing. I should be informed before paying. I ended up having my coffee (not a bad one I must admit) on the street in the rain.

07/12/2025: Pop in daily for coffee and a chat. Great coffee and service. Always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you are looked after.

07/02/2026: We had a fantastic meal in Pavarotti’s. Highly recommend it. The bruschetta, seafood salad, pizza frutti de mare and cannelloni all delicious. Brilliant atmosphere and the staff were so friendly. A point to note you can bring your own wine with a €4 corkage.

02/11/2025: I was very disappointed with the quality of the food — it was inedible, and I did not receive an apology or any acknowledgment of the issue. Being expected to pay full price under those circumstances was extremely disappointing.

19/07/2025: I loved it here! It was such a welcoming atmosphere and everyone was so friendly! The food is so so good and the bartenders were extremely nice! If you’re ever in Ballyshannon I’d def recommend stopping by!

20/06/2025: Ordered wine from their website and it arrived the next day, impeccably packed with a little treat inside and a personal note. Exceptional customer service - I will definitely be purchasing again.

09/10/2025: WOW… You need to try this place in Youghal! I’ve tried multiple different dishes on the menu, and it’s always delicious (breakfast, lunch & dinner)! The experience is then made even better by the warm, friendly and attentive staff who all make a big effort. The amazing view over the ocean is another beautiful part of the experience here. It’s inside the golf club, so there’s loads of free parking which makes life easy! You don’t need to be a golfer to eat here. It’s open to everyone and I highly recommend! 10/10, five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

30/08/2025: Tips & Improvements What a lovely spot! Below Youghal, there's a kilometer-long sandy beach. Up on the mountain around the Table 8 Bistro is the golf course. How cool is that :-) The older folks keep fit by swimming in the sea at around 20 degrees Celsius, and the youngsters play golf around the Table 8 Bistro. You have to see it! The food at the Table 8 Bistro is very good for a bistro, the view is magnificent, and the staff very friendly. We'd love to come back. Improvements That huge bush right in front of one of the windows really blocks the view of the sea and the landscape. You should really consider relocating it. We certainly didn't understand why it was planted in that exact spot. Leave me a heart :-)

04/01/2026: We had food here last Monday 29th December in the front bar/lounge across the road from the bay. Absolutely superb. Food was excellent, great value for money and service was extremely fast for our large group of 17 diners. We had not booked in advance, and our arrival of such a large group was handled efficiently, professionally and we were made to feel most welcome. A worthy alternative to The Bridge Bar, where we would normally dine over Christmas while at home in Fermanagh/Donegal visiting relatives. Well done!

03/01/2026: A lovely venue for country music and dancing

27/08/2025: The campsite is well-kept and clean. Our expectations were higher based on the reviews and photos. Given the reviews, we thought there would be a restaurant, but there wasn't (August). The campsite is quiet and peaceful. There are no children's games or children's areas (at least not in the area reserved for camper/tent camping). Showers are included in the cost of the pitch. The owner was extremely kind. We had a great time. It was perfect for one night.

27/08/2025: This is a well run and fantastic location for all your caming needs. The on stie bar has food all evening with live entertainment and friendly staff. The facilities are top class with everything you need. Well done to all involved and I hope to return to the hills of Glengarriff soon. Many thanks Darren Roberts

26/12/2025: I have been going here for a long time and service is always nice, but yesterday was my first time getting food poisoning ever and it was out of here. Very unfortunate as I always looked forward to eating here.

13/11/2025: The best pizza in Galway! I have been ordering from them for a few years now and the quality of the food is always made to the best standards! The portions are also very generous and the food is simply delicious! I highly reccomend!
