19/07/2026: Great spot. Visited yesterday and stayed for 4 lovely pints of Beamish. The girls are lovely, very good at their jobs and the food looked good too

24/09/2026: Beautiful public house. Architecture and interior are very well maintained by JD Wetherspoons. Staff are super friendly. The fact that the name itself is a nod to the history of the buildings is shows excellent corporate responsibility toward the community. Prices are fantastic and the staff balance efficiency with friendliness very well indeed.

22/07/2026: Ordered a 3 in 1 and the half spicebag for delivery. I was told the order would be 40 minutes, after about 50 minutes I decided to call up just to see if I would be waiting long, to which I was told two minutes the delivery driver is nearly at my house. Another three calls and 40 minutes my food arrived. I can expect delays with it being a busy Saturday but it doesn't help when every time I call I get told two more minutes. The food was great, a lot of flavour from the spicebag. Which I have found to be lacking from other takeaways I've ordered from recently. I would add that considering the spicebag is open on arrival, I think it will quickly go cold even within normal delivery time. The 3in1, also tasty, so overall happy with the quality of the food. My main issue is the wait time, which resulted in my spicebag being cold and the 3in1 solidified. I will certainly order from here again as the food was good and I want to give it another go. Just disappointed by being told multiple times two more minutes and ended up being 90 minutes until it arrived

11/08/2026: The food is really nice and tasty , but I have decided to stop going there.The guy who is taking the order/ working in the counter is very bad , he didn’t even know how to do customer service, if we are asking any doubt or just asking anything like that he is harassing the customer in a different mocking style without knowing anything and trying to charge higher price .

26/06/2026: I have eaten multiple times, until recently decided to stop. Food is ok , specially sauces are nice . But the big problem is service, the guy at the counter will charge you extra if you don't pay attention, another time they sold something which was not fresh, again you have to pay attention. Over the year quantity has reduced also

10/08/2026: I come to Thomastown only once a year to exhibit at Thomastown arts festival, and im always so looking forward to eating Jackie’s delicious food! I really love her bacon buttywith tomato relish.the bacon is beautifully crispy and the bread so delicious and nicely toasted! It never fails to revive me after my two days of skipping meals at Dublin comic con! The pastries and soups are also outstanding! But what amazes me is Jackie’s kindness! She only sees me once a year yet remembers my name, and last day, i witnessed her going around town, trying to find the owner of an errant brown dog. She was so concerned as she had noticed a tumor on its leg. As the owner of a cat who passed to cancer, seeing she dropped work to help find its owner to make it safe really moved me so much. Please do visit the café, it is always my favorite spot to eat as it is very homely !

06/08/2026: Not impressed!!.....€26.74 for a toasted cheese sandwich, a toasted cheese and onion sandwich (bread was a basic slice pan, both had minimal cheese ), NO side salad!!....a very small cup of soup, a capri sun and a can of diet coke. Very Poor!!, won't be back.

04/09/2026: Good spot! I ordered bacon and maple syrup pancakes and they were to die for! Hot chocolate pairs well with them. Staff were friendly, the place was clean, atmosphere very friendly and cozy, the food was good.

03/09/2026: Today I had a fine onion soup and a delicious, generously topped toasted sandwich. The Americano coffee was decent. Polite service, and a small mistake when taking the order was corrected quickly and without any hassle. Worth coming back!

13/04/2026: I had a very pleasant experience at Istanbul Bites. The food was of high quality, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. The staff were courteous and attentive throughout our visit. I would particularly like to appreciate their kind gesture of offering a complimentary juice to my son, as well as providing a discount. Such thoughtful service reflects their commitment to customer satisfaction. I would be happy to recommend this place to others.

26/08/2026: me and my friend got acai bowls, and we asked for nutella, we did not get nutella and we paid extra for it. The food and drinks took so long and we were waiting at the till for ages until we got served. There was a lady breastfeeding and it made us quite uncomfortable as it was a public place and you could see her boob. In the acai bowls there was like no acai and it was mainly granola which tasted strange, and more toppings than there should be.

26/08/2026: Me and my friend went to get acai bowls, we paid extra for Nutella witch we never got, there was a lady breastfeeding the child, but after still had her boob out, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable. There was also no acai in the cup it was 75% granola, have tried many places and I will not be coming back, also took ages
