09/06/2026: We were invited to go have a pint. The Guinness was great, the company fabulous, atmosphere perfect.

14/05/2026: A lovely pub to visit in the heart of Athlone.

09/02/2026: Beautiful restaurant serving 5 * food and 5 * service. We were made to feel so welcome and we're truly spoilt with the incredible service and attention to detail topped off with delicious food all whilst sitting by a cosy log burning stove. I can recommend the Tapas especially the scallops and prawns and not forgetting the fillet steak in mushroom and masala sauce cooked to perfection. Thank you for a lovely evening.

15/10/2025: Today I ordered a flat white (I had my own cup) and 2 chocolate covered dates and asked to pay 7.80 EUR, did not give attention and paid. Flat white costs 4.20 (with your own cup 4.00), each date costs 1.50. I then saw there is a coffee and cake afternoon deal (2pm-4pm) for 5 EUR. I kindly asked barista if dates were not included in the deal. She said they are included. It did not make sense and asked if she can explain me the breakdown of my bill: she said the cake deal price has gone up to 6.50 EUR today and one of the dates was included in the deal on my bill. I was negatively surprised with the price increase but did not comment on it. I then said but the dates are cheaper outside of the deal and I dont get why we are including one of them as a part of deal if it does not make total lower. If we take all products individually the total comes to 7 EUR, I dont get why I should pay more because they applied the deal where they should not. Barista kindly said she cannot change the rules. To be fair I am not blaming the barista as she was kind and she even offered some pastries later on to customers (including me) as everyone asked about price increase on afternoon deal. The whole thing just does not make sense.

25/04/2026: Multiple times in a row we’ve come here and we’ve been served real chicken instead of the veggie products. We can tell because they’re so different in appearance, aren’t labeled correctly and taste of chicken. How on earth can that happen? Didn’t even bother going back in the last time because it seems like a bunch of teenagers running the place. Long waits and never getting the correct food. Avoid.

04/04/2026: Every other Burger King we have been to swapped out normal nuggets for veggie nuggets for my daughters kids meal because she chooses not to eat meat. It’s never been an issue but here they instead force you to buy an adult meal and pay for a toy for 9.45 total instead of 5.95. Had to as my son got a kids meal and a toy too. Zero option given for a young child at this location other than pay more.

12/04/2026: I got a takeaway fish and chips. Good quality, but disappointed with the portion. Not as good as it used to be. A small portion for €15.60. With a can of coke.

30/03/2026: The food here is decent, we’ve ordered a few times and usually enjoy what actually arrives. Unfortunately, they almost always miss something from the order when it’s delivered. And it’s not just small things like a drink, recently it was one persons full meal. To make matters worse, we’ve tried calling several times when items are missing and they don’t answer the phone, so there’s no way to resolve the issue or even let them know. It’s a real shame because we do like the food, but it’s frustrating not being able to rely on your full order turning up. Decent food, but the consistent mistakes and lack of communication mean we won’t be ordering again.

11/10/2025: Amazing service from our waitress, Sabrina Veríssimo. It was our first visit to the restaurant, and she was very patient explaining the dishes and very kind to our children.

11/10/2025: More interested in kicking us out than serving us. While we appreciate that the staff need to go home, being told the second you walk in at 8:45 they close at 10 then reminded every ten minutes is pretty poor tbh.

05/04/2026: Had Dinner on Easter Saturday family of 4 , found the staff very friendly, food was excellent and good value, allowed bring your own wine no corkage charge. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

06/06/2026: Staff incredibly nice and everything was tasty. We got cherry lemonade, matcha and 2 muffins. Overall atmosphere was chill, but unfortunately they didn’t have forks at a time, so we’ve got spoons

02/06/2026: Fabulous! We had our wedding here and it couldn't have gone better. Every single member of staff was exceptional from Laura who coordinated the event to the bar staff, reception, the cleaning staff who gave my little nephew cookies on the house and Pierre who gave my partner a shirt coz he forgot his 🤦🏼‍♀️ Just an overall lovely experience, we were made feel so special. Would highly recommend The Dylan for a wedding x

22/03/2026: My recommendation is not to stay in this hotel or not to support this hotel in any way. It has 2 floors open to the public the rest of the hotel is for the International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS). Such a pity I used to love this hotel and its location for work purposes. Very sad to see it operating in this fashion - taking taxpayers money etc.

15/03/2026: Held event & team were amazing. The room is big without being too big. A lot nicer than standard conference room you get in hotel.

23/05/2026: Very nice hotel, excellent service, friendly and accommodating.

22/05/2026: About a 30-minute walk from the city. The room is quite dated. Unfortunately, there's no refrigerator in the room.
