The best restaurants

19/01/2025: Just received my order and it was stone cold and tenders half cooked and soggy kebab was absolutely drounded in sauce never again I was actually advised not to order from here should of listened what a joke of a place

07/02/2025: It's not often that I want to rate a place zero stars, but this was 100% one of those instances. My partner, her three children, and I all went to the Four Seasons to grab some food, charge some devices (tablets and phones), and use their internet. This was all following Storm Éowyn. To clarify, my partner's children would all be neurospicy like her and myself (she's Autistic and I've got cPTSD and ADHD). Her eldest son is Autistic and would be slightly more profound than the rest of us. We found seating in the lobby area where many other people were sitting with the same aim/idea as us, to charge devices, use the internet, and eat. I.went to.the bar to get a menu. I initially couldn't find one but when I asked was given the bar/restaurant menu. I brought it back to our group and we decided on food. When I returned to the bar/restaurant to order, I was told that food couldn't be served to the lobby. I questioned the people eating and drinking in the lobby but apparently it is only tea, coffee, and scones served in the lobby. I was told that we would have to sit in the bar/restaurant for food. I explained that this was very inconvenient due to the nature of our group but returned to the group to move us. When I returned up to the bar/restaurant, I was now told that there was no seating available for us. In total confusion, I questioned being given a menu at all and the following interaction about sitting in the bar/restaurant. No explanation was given and I was dismissed. With many years of hospitality experience in four and five star hotels and resorts, I was beyond surprised that they would not make a simple accommodation considering our additional needs (especially given that the law directs them to do so). I approached the reception to give feedback on the whole situation as the bar/restaurant staff were clearly unaware of the law, and politely complain. Before I could even explain anything, an overbearing voice from beside me started asserting that the hotel staff were all doing their best etc. I explained that none of that was really what was in question. I wanted to tell them about my experience. This offensive gentleman got right up in my face in an extremely threatening manner. I was extremely surprised to discover the gentleman was none other than Frank McKenna, MD of the hotel. His completely casual attire and overall manner, should have given a clear indicator of the unprofessional approach I would now experience. What resulted was an initial exchange between Fank and I, followed by an exchange between Frank and my partner. The contents of which were Frank detailing how Autistic children should be put in care and he would ring Tulsa about her child. Aside from a complete inability to solve a simple problem that a paying guest was having (ie to get a pizza served to lobby seating just 15-20m away from the bar/restaurant), it was evident that the hotel MD and bar/restaurant staff were unaware of the law and how they were breaking it by not making this simple cost-free accommodation for a guest with additional needs.

25/01/2025: Been meaning to post this review for a while now - I've been to Neighbourhood for all types of dining experience, dinner, steak night, small plates, brunch, lunch, Sunday roast. The food and the service are always a pleasure. Tom, Brian and the rest of the team couldn't be nicer. The food is excellent, quality ingredients full of flavour. The cocktails are very good too, their version of a spicy margarita is the best I've ever had. The guys are also constantly innovating and trying new things, the passion they have is evident in how the place is run. In my opinion this is easily the best dining experience in Naas and the surrounding areas

22/01/2025: Stumbled upon Neighbourhood Naas and could have been transported to New York or London, beautiful decor, vibe and ambiance. Exquisite menu, locally sourced, simple and delicious. The service was excellent, attentive and professional. Tom and Pierre looked after us well. Couldn't fault Steak Thursday and can't stop thinking about the triple cooked chips with homemade aioli! Worth a trip from Dublin, go, visit and treat yourself, it's really very special.

12/01/2025: We went to Aroy D last night for the first time and we loved the food. Highly recommend the pork gyoza and prawn tempura starters We had stir fry sweet and sour chicken with noodles and Beef yellow curry with jasmine rice. Everything was delicious. The noodles were light and fresh and not greasy. We are looking forward to returning.

11/01/2025: Had a fantastic meal here this evening. We had the prawn tempura which was delicious, a really light batter and fab sweet chilli dip and pork gyoza with a soy chilli dip as starters. Then we had the stir fry sweet and sour chicken and a beef yellow curry with rice and noodles. The noodles were probably one of the best side dishes I've had. Light and fresh and more importantly not greasy. A lovely meal, an excellent bottle of wine and a nice atmosphere. Will be back for sure

22/02/2025: Hindi po talaga masarap. Sorry. Do not order the Pad Thai. Taste weird. Food is dry. Even the kids meal. I’m so disappointed.

17/02/2025: I was pretty shocked by how overpriced and underwhelming the food was here. Myself and my partner both felt ill after the meal. It feels like a food court at the airport (the food quality aligns with this). Credit where credit is due – the staff were very good but sadly nothing they could do could make up for the substandard food we were served.

19/01/2025: Unfortunately this place is very hit and miss. Sometimes the food is excellent and other times it is average. Their chips are excellent when hot.

03/01/2025: Go to @tandavlog on tik tok to see videos The staff were friendly and restaurant had a good vibe. They have a lot of work to do to make a good spice bag unfortunately. Spice bag was overcooked and the chicken tasted like fish. 2/10

02/11/2024: The food was amazing and huge portions, we couldnt finish it and were sorry we couldnt take the rest with us but we weren't going home afterwards. The servers were quick and very friendly. Everybody had a fabulous time. We'll definitely be back.

25/09/2024: Sophisticated food in a riverside setting. The Connemara lamb in filo pastry and risotto was a masterpiece and the fish medley was stunning too. Good sized portions. Only criticism was the very poor choice of beers. One of our best meals whilst in Athlone

01/09/2024: A pretty humble cafe from the exterior but clearly very popular with the locals. We were served by a lovely young Irish lad, very friendly and welcoming. Lovely full Irish breakfast and the best coffee so far I've had in Ireland, and prices are very reasonable. Thanks so much :)
