30/11/2025: I got a pizza in Tony’s for the first time last night and I was very impressed. Fresh ingredients, cooked in a wood fire oven. The staff are friendly too, I will be back for more :)

Same for take away, they won’t take orders past 20.20 but they won’t answer the phone from 20.00. The pizza is great but the people working there are a mess

24/12/2025: We visited the Grangegeeth Inn on Christmas Eve and were genuinely taken aback by how unpleasant the experience was from start to finish. There were no visible signs indicating whether dogs were allowed, so we briefly entered to ask. The owner immediately berated us, telling us dogs weren’t permitted because people were eating. That was absolutely fine… we were more than happy to take our dog back to the car. What wasn’t fine was the unnecessarily rude, aggressive way this was communicated, including raised voices and a condescending attitude. After returning without the dog, we went back in looking for somewhere to sit. The bar area was virtually empty, and we deliberately avoided the single table marked as reserved. Despite this, the owner aggressively demanded to know whether we had a booking. We explained we didn’t and that we were just stopping for a quick coffee. He snapped that we couldn’t sit there and ordered us to move. Again, not an issue in itself… but the manner was hostile and completely uncalled for. He continued to shout, tried to rush our order, and spoke to us as though we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. The entire interaction felt needlessly confrontational and thoroughly unpleasant. We decided to leave and went to a pub in Slane instead, where we were greeted warmly and actually enjoyed ourselves… a stark contrast that says it all. I would avoid this place entirely unless you enjoy being barked at by a rude, aggressive, and thoroughly inhospitable owner.

26/08/2025: had the best takeaway I’ve had in a long time from Saaep Thai! We ordered the beef black bean stir fry with chips and rice, and it was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were really generous, the beef was cooked perfectly tender, and the vegetables were fresh and full of flavour. Everything was well balanced, not too heavy, and really satisfying. I’ll definitely be ordering again – highly recommend!

10/03/2026: I've never experienced such a despicable act in a restaurant as what happened at this place: the moment they placed the beer glass in our hand, it completely spilled. We called the waitress over, and after cleaning the table, they brought another one. To our shock, they charged us for. that replacement glass! When the bill arrived, we complained that we hadn't even tasted the first one by accident. She went to consult with the manager, and they charged us for it without a second thought. Aside from this appalling incident, the food is meager and expensive; some dishes are good, and the rest are just average. Moreover, the person in charge responded to this review denying it. There are three witnesses, plus the waitress who went to ask him.

20/12/2025: Had a fabulous meal in the Cornernote on Friday evening (it’s now open on Thurs, Fri & Sat evenings). Food, wine, ambience and service were all superb. Great vegetarian options. I highly recommend it.

01/03/2026: Arrived in off the Galway train and was greeted with a hostile and horrible attitude. The food we ordered wasn't good enough to meet the price of it. We then had to order drinks separately , in no other restaurant have I had to order the two items separately. The lady serving at the carvery counter was very abrupt and angry with us for ordering food. No where in the bar or anywhere to my recollection had times written down , even so she just told us to hurry up as she was closing up and if we wanted anything we need to get a move on. I can't give zero stars but if I could I would. I would avoid this place unless you like rude customer service and subpar food. The bar men were to busy to approach to try and speak to someone from management.

28/02/2026: Went in here this week for an early breakfast before catching an early train... unfriendly staff... serious lack of manners on two men working there. Ordered, paid, ate and got out quickly. Disappointing.

30/11/2025: Amazing little coffee shop with fantastic espresso and baked goods! Highly recommend getting a cup to go before walking the River Lee if in the Blackrock area.

04/01/2026: Absolutely awful food, over priced, over crowded no seats, terrible service, inexperienced staff. On holiday never went back. sat on the wall the next day with my chips from the chipper on pier.

11/03/2026: Lovely place - had two fish n chips and 4 pints of Guinness here with my girlfriend and our dog, people here are friendly and the staff is really nice to everyone. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice time
