18/09/2026: We had a cup of tea and hot chocolate, staff are very kind and enthusiastic, nice atmosphere, but it's a small cafe for indoor spaces.

29/03/2026: This place has just progressively gotten worse. I ordered a chicken kebab, although many might like a breaded Lidl burger chopped up on a pitta, with iceberg lettuce and a tiny bit of sauce, I can say I didn't care for it at all. No red cabbage no onions. Hardly a kebab. Garlic cheese chips. Had a good amount of sauce on it but easy to do when there is only 15 chips in the foil tray. How you managed to serve it cold is a talent, I live beside macaris and It was like it had been in the fridge. Horrible, went in the bin. Better places to go in the mun in all fairness.

09/03/2026: Ordered out of here when on a, weekend break. As far as Chinese takeaways go this was lovely and fresh, very tasty.. counter staff were lovely. And was well priced.

15/02/2026: My wife went there today. The man chief was so rude. It's impossible to explain. My wife came out crying..this place should be closed down.

19/09/2026: I’m coeliac (gluten free) and previously worked for McDonald’s, where I regularly prepared suitable orders for customers with coeliac disease. When I visited Monread McDonald’s and explained I’m coeliac I was told I couldn’t eat there. I asked whether I could have a burger without the gluten-containing bun, with precautions taken to minimise cross-contact. Another staff member, who claimed she was also coeliac, said she could steam the regular gluten bun, which does not make it suitable for someone with coeliac disease. What disappointed me most was the lack of effort to understand my request or offer any appropriate alternatives. It ultimately wasn’t safe for me to eat there and had to find food elsewhere. Having made similar accommodations myself for customers while working for McDonald’s. It’s not a fad diet or a choice, it’s a serious auto immune disease and I know these requests can be handled more appropriately.

17/09/2026: Food was fit for the bin 2 kids never even eat there was freezing cold and the drinks were empty when the got her so freezing cold food and not a drop of a drink in the 4 drinks ??? Absolutely disgraceful paid €44,85 for a bag of shit , swear was cheap like

25/03/2026: Nice bar but the young fellas behind it could learn how to serve people properly. I waited to get served for about 10 minutes. They kept serving others who had come to the bar after me. Tunnel vision. I pointed it out to a barman..got a shrug, and he still went & served other people.. he finally came back and took my order 5 minutes later. Very poor service. Chicken Burger I ordered arrived with about 6 chicken goujons inside it...wasnt a burger at all.

24/08/2026: I've heard so many good reviews about the food in Chuck Wagon so finally I decided to try in on my way to Drogheda but I didn't even try anything as the service was so slow. My children where bit hungry so I told them we gonna get something small to eat. I was 4th in the Q and kindly asked how long it will take for 1x sausage and 1x bacon burger as I am in a hurry... that young girl said not long so I decided to order food and wait as it can't take more than 10min for it even have this 3 other people on front of me. After 20min of waiting other people started to receive food but sign of my order but I had a good faith its coming now. I was going to cancel it but my children asked me to wait... After 30min of waiting I asked this girl who took my order why did she said "it won't take long"... She looked at me ... I asked if my food is ready but it wasn't... 2 other older ladies worked hard on the grill but everything was very slow. Looking at other customers faces I can tell I wasn't the only one annoyed. I asked for refund and received it and I even heard "Sorry " but thats not good enough... waiting 30min for 2 burgers when it wasn't even busy is way to long and who knows when that order be ready. Please respect customers and don't waste their and my time, be honest with waiting time... that girl didn't look like she was there first time. Big disappointment 30min waiting and nothing was ready.

09/08/2026: Guinness pint is shit. Music selection sucks. Their pet parrot almost hit me in the head and instead of apologizing the owner laughed at me with his shrill cackle. Horrible service.

15/09/2026: Very disappointing experience when it came time to pay. After we had finished our food, we were told that they do not accept cards or contactless payments and that we had to pay in cash. This was not mentioned to us before we ordered. They then instructed us to get cash from an ATM, but the ATM was out of order. Instead of offering any reasonable alternative, we were told to find another ATM and get cash. This was extremely inconvenient and not the way customers should be treated. To make matters worse, the cashier simply said, “Next time, please bring cash.” If the restaurant is cash-only, customers should be clearly informed before ordering, not after they have finished their meal. I genuinely don’t understand why this wasn’t communicated upfront. A very frustrating experience.

12/09/2026: Very good all around. Food was 10/10. Staff 10/10 Price 10/10 They dont accept card and I think that is brilliant. As I always pay with cash. More places should be like this. I would happily come here again.

26/08/2026: went today for dinner with mum ordered the fish & chips both fish were disgraceful it was shocking no white fish chips peas tartare sauce were fab very disappointed with the staff talking about us when we complained won’t be rushing back

23/09/2026: We pop in last Friday, there was eight of us visiting from England. The good was outstanding and the service was great from staff who really cared about their restaurant. We waited a little longer than expected between courses but this was a benefit to us, much better than having a rushed experience. We did not find out the name of our female server but she was a credit to this business who kept us updated during waits and join in with our banter and made the evening even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in Tralee, Kerry, Ireland 🇮🇪

30/08/2026: Food is absolutely spot on here, the service was good, I think the only thing it needs is a partition of some sort so that people coming in for takeaway arent standing there watching you eat. Just a little bit of privacy please. Very good value for money though

12/07/2026: Impossible not to stop! Delicious hot chocolate...both milk and dark. A variety of chocolates with interesting flavors. Elegant packaging for small keepsakes to take home to friends.
